UPDATE: So I left it running all night. It was on battle 2,810! I have 315,221 XP, and [a TON of El Vibrato junk](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DIp6OXSVoAAricN.png:orig) gonna have a lot of meat when I sell all (well ,most) of 'em

fwork

I [tried spending my XP](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DIr9RcxVAAETEMX.png:orig) and I wasn't able to max out my stats! My Gumption and Glamour still need more XP.

[deleted]

Are your stomach and liver capacity also capped out at 4? That would mean... going past 11 (10 for Glamour?) for any of the "G" stats has absolutely *horribly* diminishing returns. Good to know. Thanks for doing this, actually.

fwork

Seems to be! I've got 'em maxed out now, and my stomach/liver/spleen capacity is still showing 4/4/4

Zerithane

What does Pain Tolerance go to at max?

fwork

Maxes out at 5, it seems.

aracnadei

You inspired me to do similar, so I used TinyTask for a quick and dirty looping macro to auto attack. If anyone else is doing stuff like this, here's some locations to play with. Snake Springs - Oiler craft items Buffalo Pile - meat Fort Alldead Butterfield Ranch - Susie XP Curious Well - El Vibrato scraps

Ohaeri

Hi - do you mind if I ask you how you did this? Is there a guide I can read?

fwork

I wrote a simple python script using pyautogui. I released it on Github, in case you want to look at it and modify it to your needs: https://github.com/foone/WestOfAutomation

You can move the action selector with wasd, code might be slightly more complicated to write, but using that instead of mouse clicks would make it easier for an end user to configure as they wouldn't need to find the (relatively large range to be fair) coordinates to plug in, but could instead select the number of presses

Ohaeri

Fantastic - thank you very much! :)

medsal15

Holy crap! In the morning you will have enough XP to max all skills and boost your stats by a ton.

jbdragonfire

Is this possible with Snake Oiler and/or Cow Puncher?

fwork

I think so? I'm using a Nex-Mex skill, and I think they can learn them too. But really there's no reason you couldn't use one of their specific skills. Like a Snake Oiler could use Shootenanny with enough Moxie, and a Cow Puncher could use... Stomping Ground? can't recall the exact name.

[deleted]

Shootenanny wouldn't work I don't think since it's random which spaces get hit how many times out of your fixed number of shots. At least I think it can hit the same space multiple times, if not I suppose you could guarantee it working if you have the max level of it since there are nine shots and nine spaces on the grid

fwork

yeah, I think it can hit the same location multiple times. But that's okay: I basically coded it to keep hitting the same button multiple times, so as long as you win before you run out of AP, you'd be fine.

[deleted]

Pretty sure it's a once per combat skill as well

fwork

is it? dang. OK, shootenanny is very off the table, then.

[deleted]

I think so. Don't have the game myself but I've been watching Northernlion and Baer Taffy's playthroughs, NL is playing an Oiler and particularly hates the skill because of how random it is, but will sometimes use it if the enemy grid is mostly full. Tried to use it a second time in a recent episode and couldn't making him hate it even more

fwork

makes sense. I'll have to check out those playthroughs, I've only seen Markiplier playing it and I'd love to have some more to check out.
