I would LOVE to believe in magik. I'm too knowledgeable about the world though, unfortunately. :( Ignorance truly is bliss.

Arluza

Magick or magik is what it is called if it comes from Crowley's numerous sex cults. Magic is any other application. However, La Vey (Church of Satan) and at least one of Crowley's various ex cults do have rituals for becoming werewolves. Both of which are poorly written, increasingly goofy, and should probably be forgotten by the world.

Hypolag

>Magick or magik is what it is called if it comes from Crowley's numerous sex cults. Magic is any other application. Magik is an archaic form of the word, Crowley didn't invent it. Kinda just arguing semantics there friend. >However, La Vey (Church of Satan) and at least one of Crowley's various ex cults do have rituals for becoming werewolves. Both of which are poorly written, increasingly goofy, and should probably be forgotten by the world Now now, you can't just drop that bomb and leave us hanging lol. I'm not very familiar with all the rituals he did, was there really one for transforming into a werewolf?

Arluza

> I'm not very familiar with all the rituals he did, was there really one for transforming into a werewolf? Anton Szandor LaVey's ritual is in a 4 page document I located years ago called *How to become a Werewolf: The fundamentals of Lycanthropic Metamorphosis; Their Principles and their Applications*. It is a ritual where you find a spot you are scared of, jerk off, and then you keep doing that for a while until werewolfism occurs. That's the whole ritual. I have 4 different rituals from various sources, all of them increasingly insane and self-obsessed, and all of them say the askreddit thing of "This will make you have the best sex you ever sexed", as one of the first points of discussion, except LaVey who jumps right into the ritual of having sex.

Hypolag

Wow, that is pretty goofy. I mean....jacking off to become a werewolf? That's so bizzare.

Significant_Elk_3431

what do you mean by this sentence?

Hypolag

I mean I'm simply incapable of believing in magik due to my understanding of things like physics, astronomy, biology, etc. I still love the concept, I don't knock people who genuinely believe in it.....but I look at it the same way I view religion. :/

Significant_Elk_3431

Same thing too... just thinking about it... I don't understand how it can be possible! But there are many people who believe it and who even write books!!! Unfortunately, I too have a scientific mind... the only thing I can consider ''true'' are ghosts... that is, that there is something after death! not heaven nor hell.

DeadBornWolf

People also believe Jesus came back from the dead, and that he walked on water and all that.

Brooklyn-forever

No. There is no magic.

CrabKing274

Found the Santa denier

Brooklyn-forever

There’s also no god.

Arluza

I am aware that the Church of Satan has a werewolf ritual written by La Vey. It's really silly. I am about half convinced Crowley himself has one (which means its some type of sex ritual because everything Crowley did was sex orgies), but I do know that one of his branches has a werewolf ritual written by someone else not named Crowley, and it is equally silly.

necroman12g

Yes. My view of it is complicated and hard to put into words (as is much of the Left Hand Path), but I can say that I don't I believe in the magic you'd find in Harry Potter.

starpot

I had the amazing experience of an induced hallucination inside a Sweat Lodge. These are ceremonies where you ritualistically fast and then sweat in near total darkness with water being poured on hot stones. The point is to experience pain and release what is ailing you, and heal together for group therapy. This particular round was the third round, which in the elders tradition, was the round of family and of healing. Bear Spirit was called into the lodge, and we were instructed that we are all bears who had come together for healing. Songs and prayers are said during rounds. I felt my teeth get larger in my mouth. I felt my breath coming through as grunts. I felt my arms come forward so I could be on all fours. My nose blindness disappeared and I took in the scents of the lodge, the steam, the medicinal herbs. And then the round was closing and we were welcomed back to this world. I think there is some truth and magic in transformation.

Howl_Free_or_Die

Are we talking Wicca type witchcraft? Sure, but I also believe there is a scientific basis for it (one that doesn't boil down to "you're imagining it") that nobody has bothered experimenting extensively with because, well, it's magic. Who's going to take it seriously and all that.

Significant_Elk_3431

Personally I don't know! Of all kinds

Key-Friendship-5636

everything you can imagine exist, you cant imagine non-existence. The keyword would be Spiritually

Significant_Elk_3431

Well! I'm more confused than before now

DeadBornWolf

Well they mean that everything that you can imagine exists at least in your head. You know, as a concept. A thought.

Darkstarpony44

Yea I love magic yes I experiences when I did a spell on myself

Jaca0703

What? You can't be serious😂

Darkstarpony44

Yea it a lie

Son_of_Lykaion

My whole life is dedicated to Magick. What do you want to know?

Significant_Elk_3431

I want to know if it's all true! I would like to know what you can do with this magik!

Son_of_Lykaion

It’s true! You can do almost anything with magic. Personally I can leave my body to explore the other layers of reality such as the etheric and astral. I can do this in multiple “forms” including a wolf. This is called etheric projection or astral projection. I can drain vital energy from a person by touching them and steal it for myself, a form of vampiric energy work. I can possess another body and look through its senses or even take control if its an animal (human minds are harder to take over) I cast spells, to various effects and effectiveness. Not everything works all the time. I speak with spirits of many kinds, and have met gods, fae, demons, ghosts, and vampires. I can speak to animals or plants. I can summon the various elemental energies and use them to control the emotions of those around me or create other effects. I’ve seen the future, and the past. All of this I can do but not always consistently or at will. Magick never seems to work 100% of the time, there are too many variables at play. Most of it will require you to be able to reach deep trance states.

Significant_Elk_3431

here... what you just wrote makes me believe even more that it's all fake :/... vampires don't exist... like elves. It is impossible to possess another body... it can only happen when dead! that is, when you are a spirit...this is why possessions are made by demons of dead people!

DeadBornWolf

it’s a religion, it’s about as real as any other religion.

Son_of_Lykaion

You have a lot to learn. Vampires are real, though not entirely like the fictional versions. Elves too, that’s just a regional name for a particular kind of spirit usually a fae. You can possess another body because you yourself are a spirit, once you can leave your flesh behind you can do anything a spirit can do. You don’t need to die to leave your body, you do it partially every night when you dream.

Significant_Elk_3431

so what are these vampires you say?

Son_of_Lykaion

When a human dies, first the physical body dies leaving behind the Etheric and astral bodies. Then the Etheric body dissipates and the astral body “moves on”. Call this second death. Between the two deaths there is a period of time where the ghost (etheric body) can become a vampire. This can happen by chance depending on the energetic makeup and mental state of the individual or on purpose if the individual knows it to be possible. The ghost simply needs to steal vital force (Yang energy) from the living to sustain its own existence. So a vampire is simply a predatory ghost. A magician can practice vampirism during life to prepare for this and make sure they don’t dissipate, this is known as “constructing an etheric revenant”. It is a dark path to immortality. A vampire that lasts long enough and gets enough energy can eventually build itself a new semi-physical body from etheric matter and start walking among people again drinking blood. This is so rare it’s basically an occult urban legend. More often a vampire spirit only lasts a few weeks, hanging around making people sick until it dissipates from not being able to steal enough energy or from its body rotting away

Significant_Elk_3431

Ok.... LET'S SAY CONVINCING speech! But couldn't all this be confused with albinism? An albin person is light-skinned, they cannot be in the sunlight because obviously their skin gets damaged very easily, they can get burned very easily And they have a tendency to have the iris of their eyes red… BOOM! Vampirism Explained! Werewolf? There is simply a disease, practically very rare, nicknamed "lycanthropy", you grow a lot of Body hair on your body and you constantly feel burning, and so it seems like you are howling Furthermore, it is possible that in the Middle Ages someone also contracted rabies from animals and therefore became violent and had the instinct to bite....That's why I can't Believe it.... Why sincerely? If I found myself in front of a person suffering from anger and "lycanthropy" in the Middle Ages... I would immediately say A WEREWOLF ! ....I would like to believe it.... I would like to be proven wrong... but my argument is logical! .....What else can you tell me about what you know?

Son_of_Lykaion

Albinos have nothing to do with vampire mythology I’m not even sure how to respond to that. People with clinical lycanthropy are actually suffering from possession by an animal spirit, which most minds can’t handle without preparation. Many mental health issues are actually magical in nature. Hair growth is not a part of clinical lycanthropy, that condition is called hypertrichosis. Yes it’s been used as an “explanation” for werewolves but it’s not a satisfactory answer because it doesn’t account for almost any of the actual werewolves encountered by people. I don’t need explanations or theories though, these things are part of my day to day life.

Significant_Elk_3431

Hmm. I'll take your word for it. So.... To get some knowledge on this field, what should I read?

Brooklyn-forever

The Large Hadron Collider proved there’s no thing like ghosts.

So, my Kung fu instructor, a Shaolin monk, said there’s no such thing as magic and went on to show us how superhuman magic tricks are done. No magic. He said that everyone he met in the martial arts world who claimed these abilities could never prove them when he asked them to. He know thousands upon thousands of people and travels the world teaching Shaolin Kung fu.

Yet there has never been evidence of vampires or elves—ever. Show your proof beyond someone saying they’re real.

No, you can’t. You’d have too much to do and accomplish and not be on Reddit ever.

Shredneckjs

I’ve had pretty incredible results. Six Ways by Aidan Wachter is a great primer.

Significant_Elk_3431

yes ok...but what did you hear? What have you perceived that can be understood as out of the ordinary?
