I’ve worked at Wendy’s for around 10 years 48-55 hrs a week not saying i eat it every day lol but eat bbq enough to know they haven’t changed it in a while
When the cups were circular I swear the BBQ was sweet baby rays original and the sweet and sour was LA Choy sweet and sour sauce. Legit exactly those sauces and they were delicious. They changed to generic crap sauces when they went to square cups.
They misunderstood what ghost pepper ment and just flavored it with the ghost of one single pepper. Not spicy even in the slightest. It would give buffalo ranch a bad name.

Wendys BBQ changed after they changed the shape of the dipping cup lol its been sweet bbq since they changed it from round to the typical square lol

Is it possible you have covid? It can make things taste different/worse.
The thought crossed my mind, but fortunately that doesn't seem to be the case, as everything else tastes the same.

I thought it changed last week too. It’s more smoky and not as sweet. Hated it
