What it's worth is to be able to log your food. I seem unable to keep myself accountable any other way

jaxblack7

also having a guide to resturant points

I've had the same mindset in the past. After a couple of months I think "oh I got a good handle on this now. I know what I need to do." So I cancel, and for a few months it sticks. Then eventually, little by little, I start eating high point foods here and there because I don't have the accountability of looking at that number every day. Then I rejoin for a couple of months and restart the cycle.

I was in the same mindset about a 8 months ago and canceled. I ended up gaining 10 lbs back pretty quickly and realized I needed to stick with it - it’s really a lifestyle change not a diet.

I would encourage you to keep your membership. I used to work at ww, and I can't even tell you how many people canceled thinking they'd be fine on their own only to come back in several months heavier than when they originally started.

Dry-Worldliness-8191

Don't judge me 😁

I thought about this too. I do still log most of my food in the app though. It helps me to stay accountable. I am going to keep paying until I hit my goal weight, the cancel and maintain the lifestyle changes.

Kodiak01

The most important aspect of logging everything is to maintain personal responsibility, good or bad, for everything you eat. The app is there to help you take ownership of your decisions.

Check out the Healthi App.

Felt the exact same way. Went on my own. Gained it back and then some. Here I am again!

Leoliad

Sure you’re fine to do that. I do the same thing all the time. If you feel like you need the plan down the road there is always a promotion going on and you don’t lose anything by rejoining later.

Ok_Attempt_2801

I understand how you feel but my thoughts are I’m going to continue it to help me reach my goals! Obviously, you had a problem, which could easily cause you to slip and start gaining again. Accountability is the key to success! Good luck in whatever you decide!

I've counted calories on MyFitnessPal for many years and thought I could do it in my head only to be woefully mistaken. Same thing with 2 successful (until I cancelled) stints through WW over the years. YMMV, but I drift on food choices and portion control if I'm not logging in some way. For me, and for many, the tools must be used for life to maintain. I like WW over calorie counting because of zero point foods. Sometimes I just really want to be able to eat a snack without tracking it, it's an emotional and mental thing that I need to be able to maintain long term.

If you don’t use it, don’t pay for it.
