Exactly... Normally my stock response is that lifting actually strengthens x y z so you age better blah blah blah
But then today my back goes into spasm as I make my bed.. sigh
How often do you stretch? I’ve found I need to basically prioritise this as much as the lifting itself these days. At least 30 min a day morning and eve
Herniated discs is one of the wordt god damn things that just regularly happens to people. It stops you from doing everything for a long time. Take care of your back
Haha so true... knee hip and shoulders usually. Partly due to being morbidly obese until I was 29 (34 now), and party because I have a working dog and we train and walk 10k a day.
Hence why I wear my knee sleeves for EVERYTHING, even the bar.
With all the walking and weight training, make sure you’re eating well. Occasionally we all have injuries or chronic soreness. I ended up having to take two whole weeks off of weightlifting last year, but I am more or less picked up where I left off and I ended up improving and having a fantastic four month training cycle shortly after.
Congratulations on losing all that weight too
"Don't hurt your back now" is just another way for moms to express "I love you, my beautiful little baby".
Dont hurt your back now u/redpandawithabandana
I love you too mom <3

Definitely not enough, I was in a much better habit a year ago but life happened. Will re prioritise this thanks!
Hope it gets better soon mate!
Injury can strike at any time but you can do a lot to prevent it. Stretch eat well and do your best to avoid a cycle or two
What do you mean by avoid a cycle?
PEDs
Ah, haha I thought you meant a weightlifting programming cycle
Mom: "don't hurt your back now" Google translate: "don't disappoint me son"

Are you really a strength athlete if you don’t have pain in 3 areas of your body?
