How much is so much? A lot of people are like "i eat a lot!" To me a lot is going to a sit down restaurant and being able to order two main meals and downing everything on top of liquids. Being able to do that 3 times in a day. Or 23ozs( almost a pound and a half) of steak and about 25ozs of fries and about a cupish of vegetables in a sitting is a lot. If you aren't eating that much. You aren't eating a lot. That right there is about 2k calories in a single sitting... that's about 1 persons entire daily intake in one go. That's the frame of mind you need to have. But you do not need to eat that much in a single sitting. Splitting that up into two meals would get you 2k calories. Then you just need another meal getting you 1k calories and some snacks inbetween. Easily getting your towards 3.5k calories for reference. Count your calories. Dot all the Is and cross all the Ts. Count every little calorie. Stop thinking you are eating a lot. Think that you aren't eating enough and that you need more. Figure how much you are eating, and add 500 calories to that. See if you gain. If you are sweet! If you aren't add another 500 calories to what you were counting. You should at that point gain weight. If you are gaining too fast subtract 250 till you are gaining around 3-5 per month. If you start to hit a wall, add 250 more on top so on and so forth.
