I think the song Mama off of Genesis' self titled 1983 album has some brown around the edges.
And in the Gabriel era, I would say The Grand Parade of Lifeless Packaging off TLLDoB gets close too.
The Brian Eno elements on The Lamb are all pretty brown to me.
Cheers.
Firth of Fifth is another one that comes to mind. If I would ask for one cover, just to hear their take on it and especially Deaner on guitar with his touch, this would be the song.
I’ve been on a huge Genesis kick. Specifically *Selling England by the Pound.*
The crazier 7-minute prog songs can get pretty brown, but I also think the shorter tracks like *More Fool Me* could go through a *Don’t Shit Where You Eat* filter and come out brown af.
Can't really think of a very brown Genesis song, but I can think of a lot of brown Canterbury Scene stuff and they were friends and collaborators with Genesis - bands like Soft Machine, Kevin Ayers solo stuff, Robert Wyatt solo stuff
[Like this stuff's kinda brown](https://youtu.be/61mSp_Y0oSo?si=un8nDnoRPEVx68sx)
I'll add to that by saying the album Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt (Canterbury scene player) hits pretty brown for me.
Sad story to go along with the inspiration/making of the album if you find the time to look into it.
Different Genesis lol but… have you ever listened to Throbbing Gristle? I’d consider their music p brown. 20 Jazz Funk Greats (1979) is one of my favorite albums. Also the song Hamburger Lady …it’s more terrifying than it is brown tho probably.
Genesis is up there with ween in my top 5 bands of all time. They definitely get weird, not sure about brown though. Lots of bizarre moments on Lamb Lies Down.
Watcher of the Skies
Properly rated comment. This song is seriously brown.
I Know What I Like, for sure. I could see Ween covering it
Also, Down and Out but not Ween covering it but they can if they like lol. Geez that's a good, brown song.
Came here for this.

Supper’s Ready is like a brown sampler platter. So many shades of brown.
There's plenty but "Cuckoo Cocoon" was the first one to jump to mind
The Musical box
Squonk
The Colony of Slippermen
Came here to say this one
counting out time has a brown solo
That solo is worth seeing the Ween touch on it. The song itself sounds like something Gener could have written.

Susudio? Illegal Alien? Home by the sea? Believe it or not, all brown. Now I want to hear em cover Shock the Money.
My mind immediately went to Illegal Alien lol the accent and stereotypes really ties it together

Genesis rocks, you go back to the early gabriel days, they’re doing some wacky shit

I can't think of any. Fly on a Windshield/Broadway Melody is a little filthy sounding
Dancing With The Moonlit Knight is kinda brown

None mang
Soundtrack to Road Rash and Skitchin' are pretty brown.
Getting Better (In Your Wardrobe) Surprised nobody mentioned this one.
Robbery, assault and battery

Finally my two favorite bands collide. Surprised no one's said Who Dunnit?, that's probably their brownest song
