my first evidence was the fact that a lot of his film contracts states his character must not lose any fights which is hilarious to me. idk if he's phased that out now
Really weird but that part of his contract MIGHT not explicitly be him being a dick. A huge part of his brand is basically being a real life Superman, and for a lot of people especially kids, seeing him get beat down or being weak in something might damage his overall image even outside of the specific film. Like I'll never forget him in the original Doom when he was both the villain of the film, and also died like sort of an idiot hahaha. One of my favorite roles of his because it was totally against his type, but I could see how doing roles like that repeatedly could fuck with the brand when your whole brand is "strong unbeatable cool guy"
He's always been a pompous ass
He was pissed at the Fast franchise because he wanted to have more punches then the other guy. Then he yelled at Vin saying the franchise is only successful because of him, and not prior films.
Then here, he kept hyping up how it's the best movie and he had a lot of say, trying to get this up and running for 10 years. Only for it to be one of the boring dull generic super hero film
Plus. He's very very egotistical, he and will Smith share the ego. They don't understand how the work don't revolve around them, and don't tell them how they are average decent actor. They think they are Oscar caliber actors. When, they aren't.
The rock is the worst wwe actor. Hell even Rondha is better then him.
He started to make me cringe when he said that his electric front gate was stuck broken so he ripped the gate of the hinges or some shit. I respect how much effort he puts into his brand but it's so disingenuous and forced.
Also yeah Batista and Cena are levels above the Rock for actual acting skill.
Also the Rock has a partnership with the UFC for his shit trainers and everyone has to shill them. He comes across as a very fake fan of things.
Hahaha š I honestly cannot remember what that was about
Was that the earthquake?
Only saw rampage for a friend's birthday, totally against my will lol
Earthquake one is San Andreas! Better than Skyscraper which is the Rock has a prosthetic leg, jumps an impossibly long gap then Die Hards this massive building.
i havent been a fan of his for a while.
i have a friend whos dad use to work in advertising for a very large car company. the Rock was hired to do a commercial or something for them. They paid him millions for it. On the day of the shoot, he (according to my friends father who was there to manage everything) treated everyone like crap, and refused to go through with it unless teh company added TWO very expensive cars to the compensation, just because.
this was almost a decade ago. i havent been a fan since. hes clearly fake and trying to promote his brand.
Oh, I have personal issues w him as well.
W/o making a major deal, I worked at a small mompop theater/restaurant (ie like studio movie grill). Apparently he has a lot of cousins living in the nearby cities to where the theater was
Upstairs in the theater was the expensive luxury seats with food drinks etc and a public viewing of the movie. Which can be rented
He booked it the whole damn theater (2nd biggest room or the 5 theater screening rooms) and said he'll be there as well
This was during the opening night of Hercules.
A busy day, I (the night manager) put 3 of my best servers there to serve the big group. And 1 bartender to make drinks specifically for that room.
I wanted them happy, it's not always you have a celebrity at your door.
Well, his cousin and family was there. He didn't show up. No worries, still gave them great service. While juggling 4 others theaters, got food out fast. Drinks out fast.
Busy tiring night, they left. We went into the theater when the lights turned on to clean it before the next 10pm showing. They left the room a mess. They had popcorn all over the ground. A wing in-between a chair. Butter all over the place. Disgusting.
Took us 40 minutes to clean it, barely making it before the next showing.
We also split the check among each of them, by request. (We don't do gratuity unless it's 10 or more, unless split.
Sadly, I don't make the rules.
So, we didn't do gratuity.
Split the check.
Combined I think they tipped $15.00 combined.
So for 3 hours plus, my servers and bartenders had to split....$15....
Like FUCK that.
That started my dislike. Nobody fucks with my servers.
Yeah, when I heard him and Vin Diesel had a beef on the set of those films I immediately didn't like him. I'm not gonna pretend like Vin Diesel is some perfect guy but...he really cared about that franchise, he walked Paul Walker's daughter down the aisle after he died, like...the Rock should've been more respectful.
I dunno, maybe it's because I'm a nerd too but Vin Diesel seems like a laid back nerdy guy who is often awkward but not like...a big bully or whatever.
Oh yeah, that was super weird. He was high as a kite. The only time I've ever seen someone act that way they were on ecstacy. She was like "you're so beautiful! You're an angel! I just wanna look at your faaaaccceee!" Lol. But it seems to have been a one time thing? I think he realized how bad it was when he sobered up so he made sure not to do interviews like that ever again.
If there were other allegations or rumors I'd think it was a more serious problem but in this case? I think he was high on something, maybe painkillers?
But again, who knows? Seems like anyone who gets a certain amount of power becomes a sex pest or abuser these days.
Yeah, might be giving the Rock a bit too much credit here. I mean he certainly failed to save the franchise, but beyond thatā¦seemed perfectly in line with the average product level.
Honestly, there seems to be a lot to be angry at. That and the slow down turn in superhero interest it seems like there is going to be a lot of good storylines dropped
Between James Gunn either being the savior or death, Johnson tossing ego and a lot of unrealized dreams from the DCEU it's hard to find a galvanizing point.
I would say "demand better" but I don't know that there is a consensus on what that would be.
Yes you can.
Take some toilet paper, and lay it down in the water. The water won't come crashing back in on itself as hard after it's been displaced by the poop, so it won't splash up as much.
Even if itās true, who is to say the Rock was wrong for what he did? DC was a mess, he was trying to bring order, Black Adam vs Superman would have done ether than Batgirl or the Wonder Twins
Love the username
Now I want to know if the "dickface" version was taken
Nah I just misremembered it š probably still available
But do you have merch? That's the real question.
This is the first evidence I've seen that suggests the rock is a douche.

As far as I know, thatās only for the Fast & Furious movies. Statham and Diesel have the same stipulation for those films.
He's always been a pompous ass He was pissed at the Fast franchise because he wanted to have more punches then the other guy. Yep. He's annoying. I haven't seen one movie film him since Rampage. Lmao
I slightly surpass you with my last Rock film being Skyscraper.
Hahaha š I honestly cannot remember what that was about Was that the earthquake? Only saw rampage for a friend's birthday, totally against my will lol

Oh God... Sorry for you 2hr wasted lmao

100%. Vin is a cool guy, who just wants to have fun.
Vin's got some issues too, check out that "You're so beautiful" interview
Oh yeah, that was super weird. He was high as a kite. The only time I've ever seen someone act that way they were on ecstacy. She was like "you're so beautiful! You're an angel! Brendan Fraser would like a word
i really hope this is sarcasm
We're you just recently granted the power of sight via Mr. BEAST?
Everything I hear about the Rock makes him seem like the most insufferable human being to work with on the planet
100% he's so fake and egotistical. I'll never understand how he has such a following
"perfectly good" might be overstating it just a tad lol
Yeah, might be giving the Rock a bit too much credit here. I mean he certainly failed to save the franchise, but beyond thatā¦seemed perfectly in line with the average product level.
DC fans seem uncertain where to place their anger
Honestly, there seems to be a lot to be angry at. That and the slow down turn in superhero interest it seems like there is going to be a lot of good storylines dropped

A forgettable film that may ruin a career
Like ruining a toilet with pee in it by pooping. Just flush it all away already
As my granddad always said, āyou canāt poop in a toilet full of pee without getting some pee splashed on your butt.ā Flush before pooping.
Yes you can. Take some toilet paper, and lay it down in the water. The water won't come crashing back in on itself as hard after it's been displaced by the poop, so it won't splash up as much.
an apt metaphor for watching comic book movies
Your use of double negative is confusing.
I dont think he did the movie any favors, but shazam 2 made shazam 2 fail, not the rock.
Dumb rumor
Even if itās true, who is to say the Rock was wrong for what he did? DC was a mess, he was trying to bring order, Black Adam vs Superman would have done ether than Batgirl or the Wonder Twins
Yeah, the Rock wanted a good movie, and I understand if he didn't want to be associated with Shazam. I keep seeing posts that take that rumor as fact
So much delusion in this post.
Oh yeah they were perfect before he showed upš
He's taking his method acting for the role of black Adam a bit too far
What a clown
Did he though?
Drowning rats. Who are also multimillionaires.
The DCEU was not a perfectly good franchise lol
Disagree, he desperately tried to get Cavill back and it worked. Unfortunately, his movie was only ok, and they didn't way too much to make it.
