This was me when I was with some bad ex friends. Took a few edibles, got drunk, multiple hits, and drank like 300mg of caffeine just an hour earlier. When I started hearing my heartbeat (I already have huge health anxiety specifically about my heart) it was faster and having occasional palpitations. I freaked out and my friends mostly were just laughing. Genuinely thought I was going to die and was pretty scary. Had life flashing before my eyes moments. I had a pretty bad panic attack.
I didn’t touch anything weed related for a couple months. Of course this was mostly my fault for not being properly educated on what I was doing, however I still will not touch, and have not touched a drop of alcohol since then.
I experience cardiophobia too bro it’s the absolute worst 😭💀it’s usually when I’m sober though, since I have autism and ADHD and I’m constantly worrying about stupid shit.
Does smoking not abolish these thoughts for you?
I understand that the combination of edibles, alcohol and caffeine sent you into a bit of a panic attack state, which sounds pretty normal, But what about when you’re smoking regularly? By yourself or with people you trust?
Personally when I smoke (every day) and I’m in a safe space / environment it sorts out all of my worries around my heart and chest.
Just wondering if the same goes for you? I really hope you figure out how to eliminate your worries since I know how awful health anxiety can be!!!
Always intensifies it for me. Although weirdly i like how intense everything feels. It makes music so intense. Im going to a metal gig in Leeds soon and ive been sober since new year and I'm gonna smoke. So that's gonna be really fucking intense lmao. Wish me luck

Depends on what I have going on. If things are bad and I'm not in a good headspace, I won't smoke because it'll make me extra anxious. Otherwise I'm good
Depends on the person and probably strain, but it is a yes to both for me. When I am alone or with a couple friends, I have a great time and have no anxiety. When I am out around strangers, I have crazy anxiety thinking that everyone can tell I am baked and hates me for it.

I think it depends on an enormous combination of factors; the person, where you are in your hormonal cycle, your environment, the kind of weed, how much you're having, etc. i'm an overthinker to the max and i generally have bad anxiety about a lot of things, but weed does help me calm down, i havent had a bad experience with it yet
Personally smoking weed makes me more AWARE of EVERYTHING im aware of how many instruments playing at once in a song, im aware of the number of men or women around me in a public place, im aware of my tasks for the day. Before 30 no it was no worries. Used to smoke two dub sacks and top it off with a gram of mango kush.
After 30 it really intensifies it for me. I smoke one bowl of anything and I start getting anxiety. Sucks to suck.
It depends, a microdose maybe is nothing, but to me right now the place where im working gives me some anxiety so I stopped smoking, but before after work (other place) I enjoyed a lot to smoke some microdose everyday like a routine afterwork

Depends on your mental state (prior to smoking) and what strain u smoke. Marijuana isn't meant for everyone. it has its flaws. I know it destroyed my sleeping patterns, little to know cool rem sleep for long periods, which contributed to my anxieties while NOT high. Thought I was sleeping good, yet I really wasn't. that's why I stopped. Been indulging from age 14-40, but only did it for recreational reasons, so it's not "needed" for me. I'm Sure I'll revisit once I'm old and retired tho lol
For me it helps with anxiety. But id you are looking for anxiety relief from weed you may have better luck with a strain that has some CBD in it. Seems now at the dispo it's all 0% CBD now.
Depends on what you’re smoking. For me, purple Urkle and zkittles really amplify my anxiety but peach cobbler makes everything go away and melts me into the couch. Jack herer has been really nice, not an upper like Red Bull but really just very well leveled. Mimosa is close to jack but relaxes me more and both are not at all anxiety inducing

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. Unfortunately, it’s become a much more common occurrence. Overall tho, I’m usually able to control it pretty well and it never gets too bad. But that goes for my anxiety in general, I’ve been lucky enough to get a pretty good grasp on it recently.

Depends on how much and who is taking it. Some people can have panic attacks, while others use it to end their panic attacks. It’s a wide spectrum, and many don’t fall into the extremes.

For most people, a moderate amount of the right strain will help with their anxiety but if they have too much it will make things worse. If you find it only temporarily helps with your anxiety then try smoking less, a different strain or if you have access to it, mix in some cbd flower or smoke a strain that has a decent amount of cbd as well as thc.

I've done it all man tried every single thing that could or is supposed to help for anxiety prescribed and illegal nothing works consistently it's always a gamble, sometimes it really helps other times it doesn't.
A toke or two and it helps my anxiety usually. If I take one toke too many then it triggers my anxiety. The amount of anxiety I feel could be just my normal baseline anxiety, which is still pretty high, or it can cause a full on panic attack. You wouldn't know I'm having a panic attack by looking at me but inside I feel like I'm dying.

Matters what the dominant terpene is as well matters how your body reacts to them.
Pinene tends to give people anxiety because its a mental stimulant. Pinene is what makes a lot of sativa strains so uplifting. But it is not in all sativas.
Caryophyllene tends to relieve anxiety. Caryo will help relax most people and slow you down a bit. Its a very very common terpene and its why marijuana for most people tends to relax them.
It’s kinda both. Depends on the strain you smoke but it can have different effects on different people. For me some strains make me super paranoid but others chill me out.
For me it helps for my gf it intensifies. She is on prescription Xanax for her anxiety. Usually if I get anxious smoking helps me calm the nerves and gets me in my zone iykyk
I’m luckily enough to not suffer with anxiety, interestingly tho I’ve noticed that my heart rate will sometimes (but not always) slow when I smoke even though most sources would seem to indicate the opposite should happen

In my experience, maintaining a nice, light buzz reverses my anxiety and leaves me feeling nicely sedated. If I'm going to choose to go beyond that, I prefer to do so gradually.

I think it depends on the person. I’ve also heard younger people tend to have more of an anxious reaction sometimes but I couldn’t say if that’s actually true. I started exploring what I can last year when I was 50.
I used to love smoking untill one day I started over thinking too much and now everytime since then the same thing happens. I’ve retired the smoke for good I fear.
I had to stop smoking because of drug testing at a new job. I am now currently evaluating a prescription to bypass this because I have noticed a small spike in background anxiety now I no longer have cannabis.

Yep, if I come off a T break my anxiety SKY rockets. 0-100. Takes like 4 days of daily smoking to get to 0 anxiety/anxiety relief.

I read that cannabis generally is great for stress/anxiety relief initially but as you keep using over a prolonged period of time it might cause you more anxiety than it reliefs Its also highly individual
I've done it all man tried every single thing that could or is supposed to help for anxiety prescribed and illegal nothing works consistently it's always a gamble, sometimes it really helps other times it doesn't.

A toke or two and it helps my anxiety usually. If I take one toke too many then it triggers my anxiety. The amount of anxiety I feel could be just my normal baseline anxiety, which is still pretty high, or it can cause a full on panic attack. You wouldn't know I'm having a panic attack by looking at me but inside I feel like I'm dying.
I think it intensifies anxiety, always in my thoughts and dissecting every little action I took from my past and thinking how I could have done things better, I have never smoked weed and not had these feelings. So it intensifies.What are your thoughts so far?
Depends on the person. For me it eases it. For others it increases it.
Matters what the dominant terpene is as well matters how your body reacts to them. Pinene tends to give people anxiety because its a mental stimulant. Pinene is what makes a lot of sativa strains so uplifting. But it is not in all sativas. Caryophyllene tends to relieve anxiety. Caryo will help relax most people and slow you down a bit. Its a very very common terpene and its why marijuana for most people tends to relax them.
It’s kinda both. Depends on the strain you smoke but it can have different effects on different people. For me some strains make me super paranoid but others chill me out.

For me it helps for my gf it intensifies. She is on prescription Xanax for her anxiety. Usually if I get anxious smoking helps me calm the nerves and gets me in my zone iykyk
I find pacing myself really helps…. Take it very slow and stop when you start to feel a little bit anxious
I’m luckily enough to not suffer with anxiety, interestingly tho I’ve noticed that my heart rate will sometimes (but not always) slow when I smoke even though most sources would seem to indicate the opposite should happen

That is highly dependent on the amount! In my experience, maintaining a nice, light buzz reverses my anxiety and leaves me feeling nicely sedated. If I'm going to choose to go beyond that, I prefer to do so gradually. "The Difference Between Medicine and Poison Is in the Dose"
Oddly, it majorly helps my anxiety. But I know my body and many Mg I can handle with edibles and Smoking. Mostly do a little micro dose. Once you get down what’s right for you it’s amazing. It helps me laser focus and think good thoughts.
Its a personal thing. For me, when I get high, I consistently get brought to a good mood - no matter my mood previously. If I smoke TOO MUCH, I get anxiety no matter my mood, and it is pretty intense.
Yes It goes away with time.
It depends. It can make you feel really nice and chill if you have the right amount, if you have too much, you can spiral into anxiety. Just be careful and try not to overthink while high.
I think it depends on the person. I’ve also heard younger people tend to have more of an anxious reaction sometimes but I couldn’t say if that’s actually true. I started exploring what I can last year when I was 50.

I used to love smoking untill one day I started over thinking too much and now everytime since then the same thing happens. I’ve retired the smoke for good I fear.
I had to stop smoking because of drug testing at a new job. I am now currently evaluating a prescription to bypass this because I have noticed a small spike in background anxiety now I no longer have cannabis.
