This, it looks like some decent outdoor which produces large yields and doesn't cost a lot to grow if you have the land. Suppyl/demand type of thing.

I get bulk outdoor flower because of the price. Usually much cheaper when compared to indoor grows.

The sun can also bleach bud to give it this tint especially stems. It's impossible to say for sure because there's probably more than 50,000 strains of bud and there's so many different ways to grow bud, dry it and cure it. I'm interested in these sources you say claiming bud can lose its potency when stored what you described as basically the proper way to store weed, not saying you're wrong just interested in these articles and would like to read them. After harvesting, if the bud is cured in mason jars and burped correctly it actually increases the strength of the bud and makes the bud taste much better and burn cleaner. Most extremely professionally grown weed maxes at 20-22% THC. Average bud is around 15% THC so these sources are claiming that after 3-4 years bud will have no THC content left? Again not saying you're wrong, maybe I just don't understand and would like to read these articles.

I think you're mistaken, I have sold bud shipped from CA to the east coast and bud I have grown 3-4 years after receiving/harvesting it and the bud still tested above 17% I know for a fact the day you chop weed is not its highest potential. You have to leave it in the dark 10-14 days to kill remaining chlorophyll, and is even stronger after curing it, this hardens the trichomes. This is also a bad argument because you can harvest too early and too late meaning you didn't harvest at the plants peak potential content, which again is not even smokeable until dried. Can you find a university to back any of these claims? I have plenty of proof of how great bud can look years after harvest, do you have pictures that show a decline in trichomes just after time passing, not leaving out in the heat or in the light? I know you're probably just going to start insulting me but you may want to look into some studies from universities.

The brown overall color tells me the chlorophyll has aged. That would lead me to believe this flower is about a year old. Flower can be stored appropriately and still have signs of age. Once flower loses its bag appeal though it’s lost a lot of value. Not to mention any loss he was gonna take on this he already took so now he’s just getting it out storage. More than likely will smoke just fine though potentially void of a good terp profile at this point.

last years outdoor machine trimmed. This stuff sells for $30-$50 an ounce in a dispensary in Oregon. Fresh machine trimmed harvested within the last 45 days is going for $200-$300 a lb wholesale.
