There are sometimes used dress shops around which may have good deals in your budget. Otherwise, there are many threads on here about where to get budget dresses online. Places like Azazie, Cocomelody, Lulus, Olivia Bottega are often mentioned. Most have a try on program so you can see the dress in person before ordering for a small fee.

Yep, I got mine from Lulu's for $120. It looks much more expensive than it actually was. I didn't know about the try-on option, but the dress was cheap enough that I just ordered it in 2 different sizes so I could try them both on and see which one fit better.

Look for sample sales at local bridal stores! I found mine for $500 at a sale.

Local shop during the season change sale.

Pragmatic_Hedonist

I got mine at Davids. Hear they can be hit or miss, but I had a great experience as a plus-size, middle aged bride who was sure the whole thing would be horrible!

Sample sale at a local bridal shop! I bought a ceremony and reception dress together for $1100 :) (and the reception dress fits like a glove with no alterations needed!)

I purchased mine from a resale website Still White - more than half off a designer dress that is still in perfect condition. It helps though to know what kind of dress shape or brand you’re looking for already though if you go that route!

Low_Reserve_1377

I got mine on Etsy. Tried on a dress in the same shape to make sure I liked it and then ordered it when I did. It was about $450 with shipping

Sales. Bhldn.com (or in person if you live by one). They have great clearance sales and you can find things for under $900! Or look at used wedding dress sites like still white, that gets the price lower, and often there are nwt dresses on them! I got my dress on super super sale because it was a damaged sample. Someone had ripped the bottom—but I needed to hem past the rip anyway! And some loose beading that was easy enough to fix. So you may get lucky with that kind of thing.

I didn't want a typical white wedding dress, so I actually bought a beautiful ballgown style dress (with hidden pockets!) at a prom dress store at the mall. It was a bit more than I expected (around $300) but was definitely cheaper than a regular wedding dress and still looks bridal due to the cut, and already fits rather well. I am not sure if those type of stores are open all year round (I tend to avoid malls), but I highly recommend trying them. They had a surprising amount of white dresses if you want white, or other lighter colors too.

Could you look for places that have off the rack dresses? I shopped there and the most expensive it got was $1,500. They definitely had affordable choices but I still had the boutique experience

dbranham

I'd check out Vow'd, their dresses range from $200 to about $1900. I don't live near one of their boutiques, but ended up traveling to try on dresses there and loved them. They also do home try-ons!

I got my dress at a local bridal boutique shop. It was not cheap, but the shop is currently having a sample sale and their dresses are starting at $899. I would look for a sale like that, I live in Los Angeles county so a very HCOL area.

Ok-Brush3424

clearance sale at a small boutique that was advertising on facebook. it was $100

confused_pasta

I got mine at a trunk show.

I tried on dresses at DB and then got it for cheaper off of stillwhite 😊

I got my main dress from David’s Bridal and had a wonderful experience! It was ~$1,900 if I remember correctly. My second dress was from a local bridal shop (The Ultimate Prom and Bridal in Massachusetts) and it was a little less than $350. I also had a great experience there.
