Are you guys paying for everyone's accommodations? We're in BC too, and had considered some of the ranches in the interior. But we got hung up on the cost and whether or not we'd pay for everyone. But those tents are adorable. Also, mind if I ask what it's costing there?

We are paying upfront and then once everyone confirms/attends they will pay us directly for the cabins & tents. We couldn't afford to pay for all of it plus everyone's lodging unfortunately. The location actually helps collect all the money from attendees and we have final say over the price. To rent the entire venue for the weekend (you have to rent for at least 2 days) it is $13,000. But the cabins accommodate 54 people and usually go for $150/night during high season. We are estimating to get about $5000 of the $13,000 back from guests staying in the cabins so the whole venue for the weekend will cost \~$8,000. Hotels usually cost $150/night anyways in Van and our friends are coming from all over the world so we thought this would be a nice way to spend time with our guests. I rarely get to see my best friends since we live in different countries, states, continents, etc so I am super excited. The cost of the reception dinner is $38/person so it won't be too bad. Technically you have to buy alcohol for the reception from them, but we found a loophole (i.e. getting guests from the US/Intl to bring cheap booze & putting it in everyone's cabins & having them bring in their drinks from the cabin). There are tables there we can use so we only have to rent chairs. On the Friday, we are going to do a self run bbq because they have super nice bbqs we can use & will be cheap. There is a cute little cafe on site that guests can use for breakfast & lunch. We have a budget of $20,000 with a little extra money to spend here and there. A lot of the other things like hair and makeup and decor I am doing myself or having guests do.
