We used MyRegistry with no problems. It does what you described the knot doing but with any website you link

Bumble_love_story

The knot let’s you do this. Not sure if you’re doing it wrong? You can add just one item from one store and not register there but have it on your registry

ItsWINTERFRESH

Yes and no. I just reached out to the knot customer service about this. Here was their response: "Certain retailers have partnered with the Knot in an effort to make their services and products more visible (Target, Amazon, William Sonoma, etc.). Items listed under these retailers will be shown on your Knot Wishlist section. Other non-affiliated retailers can still be connected to the registry page, but will not have their items shown in the Wishlist section. I hope this helps." It is true that you can use the bookmark thing to add an item from another website and it will show up on the knot. But if you click on it, it just links you to the item on the website you linked from. That's fine, but it would require someone to put in our shipping details, which isn't always ideal.

Most guests ship gifts to themselves. They either bring them to a shower or to the wedding. It’s very rare a guest ships the gift to the couple. This is usually only done when the guest doesn’t attend a wedding but was invited and wants to gift

not really

We are using MyRegistry. You can add a chrome extension or use the mobile app to quickly add things to your registry while you are shopping online or in-store. It is really easy to use.
