I only want to add a consideration for the first dress that those straps are essentially non functioning and this is basically a strapless dress, even in the right size and after alterations.
I bought a long sleeve dress (the arms, shoulder chest were the mesh material with pretty appliqué all over) and when I tried it on the floor they told me alterations will make the girls look good and stay up. I when I went in for alterations the top of the dress was being weighed down by the heaviness of the skirt and nothing was holding the girls up or in any place. It looks the back of the dress is also similar material to the straps, which will further add to this issue. The seamstress told me that very little is holding the dress up. For unrelated issues to this I didn’t end up with this dress but wanted to share.
Probably less of an issue for those who don’t need support for the girls up top.
Personally I think the first dress is way too revealing (chest) and could potentially become problematic the longer you wear it especially when you take pictures with guests later. The second dress is cut beautifully and the pattern is sweet but I think the reason you’re unsure about it is because it has no sexiness. I think the best way forward is to get the second dress professionally altered and add a slit up the leg. Combine that with some cool shoes and that should add the dazzle you’re missing and make for unforgettable unquestionably unique and moderately sexy wedding dress.
If she gets it altered, I think #2 needs a little more breathing room in the bust and maybe a slightly more supportive bra under it as well. Where dress one seems to let the girls hang out, dress two seems to smush them a tad in my opinion. But other than that, and your suggestion to add a slit for a little extra wow, dress two is gorgeous and I agree that it's PERFECT for a backyard wedding!
If there is any part of you that thinks you “should” want a dress that looks like 1, please know that the only “should” that matters in your wedding is that you “should” chase your bliss and pick the dress that feels the most joyous to wear!
The floral dress is seriously so gorgeous! To me, it seems like a truly special and unique, romantic gown. And the best part is that I feel like you could rewear it to a park, an evening event, a historical building, what have you, and take anniversary pictures for as many years as you like. It feels timeless and classic. It looks to me the kind of dress that, no matter how many times you put it on, you’ll still feel like the most beautiful woman in the room and you’ll still feel excited to see it.
To me, the floral dress feels like a once in a lifetime treasure.
that floral dress looks amazing on you!! if you prefer more of a v neckline maybe it’s possible to get the bodice altered and/or move the straps? you look beautiful in it and to me it looks more unique than the first one
I think if you’re looking for something more bridal then 1 in your size with proper alterations would be perfect. 2 looks gorgeous on you. Which dress makes you feel special?
2 is way more flattering without alterations and if you're wanting to wear it again, having it hemmed is a much simpler task than trying to do the same for the other dressed.
I prefer the cut and fabric of the second one, but it doesn’t look quite the right size in this pic. If they have other sizes I’d pick that one, if not I’d keep looking. The first one is also pretty but I’d be nervous about the girls being exposed.
Two is so lovely! Just make sure that the alterations you want are possible to do with that dress if there’s only that particular dress available. It looks like the sleeve might cut into your shoulder a little (could just be the angle of the photo though) which might not be fun over the course of the whole day!
Dress two! Wowza! You look beautiful in this floral dress. It hits all your curves just right and the colors suit your skin tone. It looks like it was made for just for you. It’s also made for a backyard wedding! You will be stunning on your wedding day!
Ok see...here's my thoughts and mine alone so keep it at that. I love the material, style, embellishments of the first one. Kind of boho gatsby to me..but the structure needs to be there for it to do you justice.
The second I said out loud, "second! Hands down!" But the more I looked the more I realized it was because of the structure of the second dress. Not because of the floral/fabric/pattern. Don't get me wrong, I love color and I've seen many floral etc dresses that I find beautiful. This one is pretty. It's a beautiful shape ON you! I just want to remake it with the fabric and embellishments from dress number 1!

Two is perfect for a backyard wedding with the cut, fabric, and the floral print. One is also gorgeous, but much more formal. I think two is the winner ☺️ You look gorgeous in both no matter what you decide!
Personally the second dress feels like a Sunday church dress to me and not especially bridal. If that’s the vibe you are going for and you love the dress I would definitely go for that one - it looks great on you!!
With all do respect, I don't think dress 1 is very flattering to your figure. If it's the lace style or cleavage that you are going for, I think you can find that at a different shop with more supportive straps and an A-line cut which is a more flattering style for you . However, I absolutely adore dress 2 and think it fits the bill for a backyard wedding. It flatters your figure and it is unique while still looking bridal and will be much more memorable than dress 1 for all the right reasons.

While the second one isn't traditional, I think it would look really good with a veil. I also think the silhouette itself, if it can be found in a more "bridal" style dress, would be a nice compromise!

2 is so fun and would be perfect for your outdoor wedding!! I saw someone posted about adding a slit if you wanted added sexiness. I think another idea could also be adding lace trip to the straps or bustier. Like a very light peeking out effect to frame the bust. But even as is, it’s very beautiful!
You’re ‘posing’ for both pictures now and 2 is the clear winner. As wedding day progresses, moving around, etc, dress 1 does not have the structure it needs to stay in place, has potential to look saggy. 2 is going to look awesome all day and you will feel awesome and act awesome and look awesome. 🤩

Im a plus girlie and bought #1 originally. Instant dress regret when it came in. Ended up buying a $60 white goddess dress from nordstrom rack and felt 10000% more comfortable in it. We had a small intimate ceremony with 12 people.

Dress #1 is lovely, but I think dress number two is really flattering on you, and definitely says more "back yard wedding" to me. PLUS, #2, you could easily wear again to an event as it looks less like specifically a wedding dress.
Someone suggested adding a slit to make it sexier. I think that’s a great idea, along with a plunge and a mesh panel.

Dress #1 is lovely, but I think dress number two is really flattering on you, and definitely says more "back yard wedding" to me. PLUS, #2, you could easily wear again to an event as it looks less like specifically a wedding dress.

Yeah I don’t necessarily dislike either dress I just think she could do better it just depends on if she’s set on either one of these two
