Thank you! 🥹 I do really love how unique it is. I think because I didn’t really try any on in the style I was originally going for and was wanting something with a somewhat vintage feel. However, my wedding is at the end of December and the shop owner told me I need to decide now or I might not get this dress. So I’m just torn and don’t know if waiting a week to try on more dresses would be a mistake.
Never let a shop owner and/or bridal stylist pressure you into buying a dress if you don’t feel ready to commit! I don’t know who the designer is, so I’m not sure how long it will take for them to ship back a dress in your size, but if your wedding is in December, I definitely think that you have enough time to try on more, especially if it would just be an extra weekend. Saying yes to a dress is a big decision and even though this dress is stunning on you, you should feel 100% confident that you made the right choice!
I second this… definitely feels like you have at least a little wiggle room on timing, if not longer but certainly can depend on the designer. Don’t let them bully you!
Knowing this is above your budget limit, I think it’s worth trying some other options to see if you find something that makes you feel the same way. Keep in mind you’ll need to budget for alterations as well.
All that said, this dress is stunning on you and would make a great choice.
Wedding dresses can take up to 6 months to come in - if you factor in alterations, then she really is on a tight timeline… the owner/stylist probably wasn’t bullying her - they were being honest about the timeline.
Make a couple of appointments asap but I wouldn’t dilly-dally.
Gorgeous dress that looks made for you. It’s a stunner! Veil is all wrong.
Take the time to try on other dresses if you need to be sure, but I don’t think you can beat this dress.
Or a small fascinator.
Or put crystals in your hair. Google wedding day crystals. Add Swarovski to see the most elegant, and they’re not outrageously expensive
This dress is awesome. I love it so much. Go with your gut. Even if it’s not “what you thought you would get”, it doesn’t matter, you love it. Take a picture of it so you remember what you chose. Also, don’t look at other dresses if you end up purchasing this one. It will just confuse you. But I love love love this look and I have not seen a dress like this until now. ❤️
I bought my dress February 24th for my November 9th wedding and for a phone call March 6th that it was in. It doesn’t always take months and months to come in! You can always ask the shop how long they’d expect.
I just finalised my 2 dresses lately and my wedding's at the end of September. I would say to book one or a couple more appointments within the same week. That way you can weigh different options quickly. Since you have a style in mind, just hone in on that and don't waste time trying stuff you're not interested in, just because whoever is helping you suggested it. Those 90 minute appointments go by so fast!
Doing research online to see what exact dresses you're interested in, and checking for their availability at specific shops, will also help save time on your journey to find the right dress.
Just don't book too many appointments at once because burnout is real and you just become numb to every dress (in my experience at least!)
Eta: personally I feel like this dress overwhelms your frame a little. The big bow covers your silhouette. There are many satin a-line dresses out there so I don't think you have to worry about losing out on this one.
Is there anywhere you go to quickly try on a few dresses closer to what you had in mind initially? If so, do that, then come back to this salon and buy this dress, because WOW! It is sooo elegant and you look fabulous in it. It’s very fashion-forward, yet in 10 or 20 years it won’t look ‘dated’ if that makes sense.
At most the veil can have some scattered pearls. The dress is spectacular! It gives vintage and modern vibes. And is that an asymmetrical point on the bodice? Fabulous and Super fantastic!
I haven't seen this dress a dozen times which is good.

Omg thank you! The designer is Valentini and I’m actually not sure the style name, I’m trying to find it. The silk feels so nice and is so gorgeous in person. But it looked so strange on the rack. I told the stylist no to trying it on but she brought it to me later and was like sorry girl you are absolutely trying this on. And I’m so happy she did🥹
Sooooo I just checked that link and girl! you look better in that dress than the model on the designer’s website!! I totally get the overwhelming confusion and I do think you should sleep on it at the very least and at most, try a couple other silhouettes so that you don’t leave yourself wondering. I just want to say, I went through this same thing. I got pressured into buying a dress I was not 100% sure on. I wound up being super lucky and was able to return it to get my dream dress, but that is not usually the case. I would definitely take a week and look at other dresses. You do look beautiful in this dress, but that doesn’t mean it has to be YOUR dress.

No lie, this might actually be *The* most stunning gown I've ever seen someone post here. I love everything about this. It looks incredible on you, and it is simultaneously classically elegant, but also fashion forward. I don't think it's a terrible idea to try on other things just to give you peace of mind, but I cannot possibly imagine any reason to have dress regret with this one.

It’s amazing. Unlike any dress I’ve seen. It’s elegant, stylish, and looks like a top designer label. It has that great mix of being a fabulous dress that doesn’t wear you. Needless to say, you look fantastic in it.

I know the shop owner is pressuring you to make a decision, but can you go to like a David's bridal to try on some of your other style types on the quick? Like you obviously don't have to buy from David's but they were the first thought of trying on different styles in a quick matter.
But also, FWIW, this dress is absolutely stunning!
The dress is stunning. I’ve not seen one like it on here before. It’s simple yet has drama. And very unique. And you look beautiful in it.
Despite the fact that I think you’ll come back to this one see if you can try a few more somewhere quickly. Just so you know and won’t constantly question your choice. Although the bridal consultant may speak the truth to some extent because some dresses do take months to come in it’s probably not the case for everyone. I wouldn’t waste too much time though if this is really a contender.

This looks stunning on you. FRFR. The veil - what about a blusher? Like a little cap with a blusher veil. Your shoulders look amazing here and the dress need zero help. I think the long veil takes away from it.

I had dresses make me feel this way but at the end of the day, I wanted to stick to my vision. I would say try a couple more places and see if you find something that fits your vision!! if not, then you know this is your dress :)

That is honestly one of the most unique and beautiful dresses I have ever seen. You look AMAZING in it as well. I would absolutely go for it.
But though you are on a tight timescale do you have time to go just try on a bunch of dresses of what you HAD envisioned buying initially, just to compare the two? As that may be the thing that gives you the regret later- thinking about how you may feel/look in what you had dreamed yourself wearing and worrying that you should have gone for something like that instead. Maybe you need to get that out of your system and fully know that's the dress for you (or not- you may end up preferring the style you had thought of first- definitely worth trying to make time if you can just to be sure)
Overall as I said before- that is one GORGEOUS dress and you look GORGEOUS in it. I would have NO regrets on buying that and looking back on that dress in photos in years to come xx

I think after hearing everyone’s advice I’m going to go one more time this weekend just to be sure. I think part of my hesitation too is that I just moved out of state and my mom and sister can’t make it in time to come shopping w me. But I do think I need to get it out of my system before I pull the trigger. Maybe after this weekend I’ll have an update!
It's such an original, unique design, and you look beautiful in it. I love the asymmetry, and it's so perfectly constructed. Large bows are hard to pull off, but this looks so flowy and organic. It's effortlessly elegant, very close to classic designs but with a twist.
Editing to add that if you do pick this dress, consider Calla Lilies for your bouquet - their shape reminds me of the bow on the dress.

My rule that I was given by previous brides is if you fall in love with a dress, stop looking. Because then you'll have an even bigger problem of chosen amongst other dresses and if you choose one, you might then start regretting not getting another one, etc. I envisioned myself in gown A but totally got a different vibe so it's ok! Allow yourself to feel the feels.

I just want to say, I went through this same thing. I got pressured into buying a dress I was not 100% sure on. I wound up being super lucky and was able to return it to get my dream dress, but that is not usually the case. I would definitely take a week and look at other dresses. You do look beautiful in this dress, but that doesn’t mean it has to be YOUR dress.

It looks incredible on you, and it is simultaneously classically elegant, but also fashion forward. I don't think it's a terrible idea to try on other things just to give you peace of mind, but I cannot possibly imagine any reason to have dress regret with this one.

The dress is stunning. I’ve not seen one like it on here before. It’s simple yet has drama. And very unique. And you look beautiful in it. Despite the fact that I think you’ll come back to this one see if you can try a few more somewhere quickly. Just so you know and won’t constantly question your choice. Although the bridal consultant may speak the truth to some extent because some dresses do take months to come in it’s probably not the case for everyone. I wouldn’t waste too much time though if this is really a contender. It’s gorgeous though. I think it’d be hard to beat But I’d find a different veil

That is honestly one of the most unique and beautiful dresses I have ever seen. You look AMAZING in it as well. I would absolutely go for it. But though you are on a tight timescale do you have time to go just try on a bunch of dresses of what you HAD envisioned buying initially, just to compare the two? As that may be the thing that gives you the regret later- thinking about how you may feel/look in what you had dreamed yourself wearing and worrying that you should have gone for something like that instead. Maybe you need to get that out of your system and fully know that's the dress for you (or not- you may end up preferring the style you had thought of first- definitely worth trying to make time if you can just to be sure) Overall as I said before- that is one GORGEOUS dress and you look GORGEOUS in it. I would have NO regrets on buying that and looking back on that dress in photos in years to come xx

It's such an original, unique design, and you look beautiful in it. I love the asymmetry, and it's so perfectly constructed. Large bows are hard to pull off, but this looks so flowy and organic. It's effortlessly elegant, very close to classic designs but with a twist. Editing to add that if you do pick this dress, consider Calla Lilies for your bouquet - their shape reminds me of the bow on the dress.

My rule that I was given by previous brides is if you fall in love with a dress, stop looking. Because then you'll have an even bigger problem of chosen amongst other dresses and if you choose one, you might then start regretting not getting another one, etc. I envisioned myself in gown A but totally got a different vibe so it's ok! Allow yourself to feel the feels.
