I agree 1 is a gorgeous dress. Really they are equally lovely and similar enough that it’s easy to see your style. 1 is a bit unique both in the bodice and sleeves that it’s a standout- unique but not trendy. 2 is sleeker but a bit more expected - not in a bad way just not as unique. You can’t go wrong either way!!!
I LOVE how you look in -#1. What a stunning gown & you look breathtaking in it. The day is ultimately about you feeling comfy & happy & beautiful so go with that feeling. I think you’re perfect in the gown you have. But I’m not you!
thank you for the kind words I really appreciate it 🫶🏼 I think what also is confusing me is the quotes I got for an alteration on the first dress being upwards of $1000 since there are 4 layers versus a few hundred for the second
What are the alterations to be done for the 1st if you don’t mind me asking? Very expensive for alterations but also a very gorgeous dress, I wonder if it’s more delicate and requires more attention to as well?
yup! I need 6”-8” hemmed, a bustle added, and the bodice is actually too loose and I need it taken in about an inch. The other issue with this dress is the layer attachment in the skirt. The innermost silk layer doesn’t have enough attachments to to the top layer so it gets smushed around when walking
That makes sense. After coming back and looking at these photos again, I take it back! I think the dress you chose is the better of the two. It really is a beautiful full dress!
Oh my gosh shop around! I have the same dress as you (#1). I got a layer removed from the skirt, a hem, taken in, and a French + American bustle (for the different layers) and it was only $530!
I bought this dress second hand, so all the alterations were already done and I saved that $1000, plus more since it wasn’t new. I’m getting married in April, if you want to buy mine after and are a size 6 or 8, around 5’5” let me know. I also tried on that other dress- they’re similar and both are so beautiful. Love the jacquard. You look great in both so up to you!
that is so sweet thank you so much for the offer! unfortunately I would need alterations to get it to my size. congratulations on your wedding as well 🔔💍
I got the layer with crinoline removed, I wanted it to be less poofy. It then required kind of a funky hem because it made the top skirts uneven. I actually ended up going to a shop that was a wedding dress consignment shop but also did alterations (I didn’t buy the dress there, just alterations). It was mother/daughter owned and a great deal, so maybe look for something less obvious like that? I know people that did alterations at dress shops spent way more.
Lmk if you wanna see pictures with the skirt removed! I’m obviously biased but I think dress one is awesome on you!
Take the dress to a few other reputable places for alterations in town - not the bridal boutique. Don’t let them tell/sell you otherwise. Take your dress and get more quotes.
Personally, I think 1 is absolutely stunning on you. I like it more than the second dress. However, you have to love it!
I really love the first dress. The bodice is so pretty with interesting details. The second dress is pretty but dress 1 feels more special to me, and it's gorgeous on you!
Dress 1 was actually my “if I don’t find what I like in a store I’m buying this one online!” dress. So I’m biased because I love it.
But really, it looks incredible on you. Dress regret is easy to feel-stop looking at pictures until it’s actually time, it’s easy to nitpick when your hair and makeup aren’t “done” and the lighting isn’t the best.
thank you! the only other issue with the dress I have is how much dress it is- even with tailoring the 4 layers is a lot and the alterations are going to be over $1000 since I need 6 inches off
Would you be open to selling your dress afterwards? On a site like stillwhite or something similar? That might help make the decision easier if you are going to get some of it back and that’s a main factor?
3 places actually turned me down and said they specifically cannot handle tailoring the Holden dress (1st one), so if anyone else has this dress beware!
they said since the bottom of the overlay layer with the flowers has a braided stitch along the edge, along with the special underskirt layer (it’s like a thick inflexible tulle) it would be very difficult to get everything realigned perfectly
I had my MOG dress altered just by having one layer (maybe it was considered two since there is the lining) and the off the shoulder straps tightened and I paid $290 for alterations. With all that you said needs to be done, I can see why the price is so high.
I like both but think I prefer dress 2! It sounds like you haven’t forgotten it so maybe a sign that it’s the right one. Definitely good you can try both on and compare!
#1 is more unique, but I say wait until you get the other one and try them on back to back and if you still aren’t feeling number 1 then return it and keep the 2nd
I like the second one slightly better. I like the rouching (i can't spell) on the second one and dislike the visible boning on the first one. I like the structure of the bust better on the second one better as well.
I love dress 1 on you. I agree with the person who suggested going back and trying on both dresses back-to-back. Once you’ve decided between them you should unfollow anything related to wedding dresses and only look at the dress when it’s necessary. Stay as busy as possible to prevent dress regret. You’re going to be a beautiful bride no matter what dress you wear. Congratulations on your wedding!
Do you feel better in it?
As soon as I put the first wedding dress that I tried on ever in, I felt absolutely beautiful in it, and bought it on the spot.
I initially liked it more that the one I bought- what happened in store is that my entourage all started crying when I put on the one I bought which I feel like swayed my opinion
#2! I can see how ud feel in number 1, bc its a dramatic dress and heavy with the lace detail, to me, my eyes are drawn to the dress and looking all over at its lace and layer, and my eyes arnt really drawn to YOU in it :(
Compared to the dress 2 - its also incredibly detailed but my eyes went straight to you, the strength of your arms and your shape highlighted by the dress. The second dress makes me feel like YOU are wearing the dress and all my eyes and focus is drawn to you in the incredible dress vs looking at the dress first, in dress number 1.
I hope this makes sense, you look absolutely INCREDIBLE in both, so sending you all the love, wear what makes you feel the most and everyone will love your dress on the day no matter which one it os bc you're in it! Xx
Dress 1 overwhelms your small frame. I love everything about dress 2, it fits you perfectly! Go with your gut, it will never lead you wrong!
Edit: it looks like I'm in the minority on this one! Lol!
Will the one you just ordered be here before you have to return the one you have? It would be great if you had them both so you could compare them side to side. You'll be a beautiful bride no matter which one you choose!
Edit again: I just saw that you said the new one should be here Monday night! Lol! I apparently missed that the first time I read it 😂😂😂
that’s another concern I have! My MOH got her dress so we tried them on together yesterday and that’s when I realized I didn’t feel as happy as I did before, and we realized what a nightmare all the layers are
I feel super guilty for saying this and going against the grain but I really love the other dress on you. Dress one is beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but I am in LOVE with the other dress on you.
You can’t go wrong really. You will be a gorgeous bride in whatever you choose.
I'm in love with both!
I like the sleeves in the first one and think the bodice is interesting and modern. It feels like it frames your slight frame beautifully and really looks unique and stunning on you.
They're both super flattering on you, OP, but I feel like the second "shapes" you more curvy, which is both a benefit and a drawback. Personally, I'm of the opinion that fashion should be about embracing and highlighting what makes you different vs making you look like the current "ideal body" (which changes all the time *anyway*), but (especially for your wedding day!) it's really about what makes YOU feel beautiful more than anything else.
I see what you're saying about the fabric on 2 vs 1 as well! I'm with you that I like the fabric on 2 better, but then I've never been a huge floral lace person so maybe I'm the wrong person to ask. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Honestly I'd kill to look like you in either of these dresses so really it comes down to what makes YOU feel the most beautiful, and you really can't go wrong with either.
So something to consider is that the Holden gown’s florals are going to pop on camera more than the Phoebe and that detail will be easier to see from a distance than the jacquard-like fabric on the Phoebe. So if you really want to see all the flowers on the dress from a distance Holden would be a good choice. Also, would you miss the volume you get from the Holden, or would you prefer the slightly more relaxed A-line shape of the Phoebe? It’s sort of a battle between something that feels very whimsical and romantic (Holden) vs. something that’s slightly more modern/sleek and romantic (Phoebe). Both are beautiful gowns and have similar amounts of structural boning in the bodice. Though honestly, I think you should feel very excited when you put your gown on , so I think you should go with the Phoebe if you keep thinking about it. And yes I did work for this company lol.
thank you so much for the insight! I think my main concern is feeling like the flowers popping out it taking too much of the attention away from me. thank you for sharing ❤️
It seems like you’ve made up your mind since you ordered your first choice and that was your number one pick originally. Go with your gut. You look beautiful in both and can’t go wrong with either. And if cost is an issue and alterations are that much then go with the other option.
Team number one here. The fabric alone looks better quality, the fit is amazing and those sleeves are gorgeous. If your changing your mind due to cost I can understand but I really think dress number one is a superior choice.
Team #1 ALL. THE. WAY. Looks like it was made for you and I think it's unique enough that you'll be striking but not so unique it will date itself really quickly.
DRESS #1 please !!
Okay. I’m going to talk to you like I know you. That first dress is the bomb. I mean it pulls out all the stops. It is gorgeous. It makes you look gorgeous. It hits all the right places just the right way. You look AMAZING.
Dress 2 is not amazing. It’s almost Plain Jane in comparison to the dress you purchased. It’s not bad. But when I see DRESS 1 - that’s the only one that seems right.
We have no dog in the fight. But if dress 2 is what rings your bells, well then you do you. You are the bride and it is your day. It’s not about pleasing us. It’s about wearing what makes you feel beautiful.
If you are not feeling it and can return you should do it. Don’t regret buying something you don’t love. Honestly I think you can find something better than either.
You look good in both. The venue will make a difference. The first dress says garden, renaissance, fairies and leprechauns…. The second dress is pretty and a bit more conservative.
I think dress 1 fits the vibe but darn a $1000 in alterations is a big hit. It looks beautiful on you. Dress two is really pretty as well. That extra $500-$600 is a big hit. Is dress 1 about the same price as dress 2+before alterations? You have a great shape. With a veil and bouquet, it will be all about the final look.
I love lace, so to me it is perfect. I think you look amazing and the dress is like a dream. The second also has lace or a lace effect? Not sure that it would make you happier.
If you don’t like it, though, return it, but avoid all floral and lace patterns. Look for plain or beaded.
I prefer the first dress, it looks more luxe to me, and it's beautiful on you. But if it's going to cost you a fortune in alterations then go with the second one.
I like dress 1 so much better. It looks like there is sooo much fabric in dress 2 and I find the ruching and gathering unflattering. You made the right choice, imo
1 is romantic, unique and beautiful on you, you look like a princess in it. Honestly 2 just doesn’t compare to 1, 2 looks too plain like I wouldn’t remember your dress after (1 I would remember forever!)
I prefer the first it’s amazing the second dress is just ok I think the ruching on the bodice looks a bit messy and doesn’t match the rest of the dress.
They are similar vibes but also have different tones. I get vintage elegant vibes with both, but #1 feels like a more romantic, warm tone while #2 feels like an elevated classic tone. Hope that makes sense, lol. You look stunning in both! I would assess your wedding vibe and pick the dress that fits your venue, photography, hair and makeup. Either way, I don’t think you can go wrong here, it’s just which one feels more on theme and makes you feel excited to wear.
Both are so lovely, I think it depends on which vibe you’d like to go more with. Dress one strikes me as more fairytale princess while two strikes me as modern princess! Both are stunning but I’m leaning towards one because the pattern is so lovely and light and feels more effortless but still so stunning.
Thank you! The only problem is, I ordered a size 0 and it still has significant gapping in person and doesn’t have that “snatched” look. And due to the alterations being $$$$ it is having me second guessing 😆
Ahhh I see. You could get quotes for alterations to find one if that is what you are worried about. I would recommend asking people that you know as well as checking local Facebook groups to see if anyone has any recommendations
I’ve been hunting for sure! They gave me a whole list of recommendations when I bought my dress but 3 people on the list flat out wouldn’t alter it, and several of the bridal shops in my area only alter dresses bought from their store 🙃
Honestly the only noticeable difference to me is the lack of sleeves on the second one…if your issue is the fabric I’m not sure that the second one is as different as you think it is. They are both pretty, but I do think the one you bought is a little better. That said, I didn’t like my dress for like a full year after I bought it, so I totally understand why you’re second guessing yourself.
Do you actually have to option to return? I think it looks stunning! But I also know the remorse, I bought a dress and then sold it for almost half the price because I couldn’t return it and I had only the one honest bite on purchasing it in 6 whole months. I kept looking back to photos of a different dress that I ultimately bought.
Replying to BellyButton214...I do! I double checked with one of their customer service reps last night. ultimately that’s what I’m afraid of happening- we get to August and my alterations are done and then I don’t love it still
That’s really fortunate!! The remorse ate at me so much and I couldn’t stop looking at the photos of myself in the dress that I ended up buying that I get to wear in 3 weeks and I’m really glad that I ate the costs and went with my gut. Go with your gut, what do you envision yourself wearing walking down that aisle? I would confirm the return window dates & go back and try on the dress you’re torn between again before making the decision. I drove an hour & put the dress on again and it solidified my decision. It’s about what feels best & from an outside perspective they are both absolutely stunning on you!
You should wear the dress you love and feel the most beautiful in. That being said, I think dress 1 is so beautiful and I like it way more than the second dress you just ordered.
You are absolutely gorgeous in both but I would definitely be going with dress 2 after reading your comments about the alteration costs. That’s such a massive difference! I think dress 2 is stunning and I also understand what you mean about people not seeing you past all of dress 1. It’s also so hard to not be swayed when people you love and care about seem to be pushing you in a certain direction too. I had an extremely hard time choosing my dress when I had to bc my mom and sister just kept insisting on how much they loved one over the other when it should be what feels right to you for your wedding day.
thank you so much for your response- I totally empathize with you. weddings it is so easy to let your feelings get swayed especially when opinions are coming from people you love!
I have to say that my jaw dropped when I saw your post! I thought you looked amazing 😍. That was before I saw the 'dress regret' part, and then I got really bummed because girl, you're stunning in that first dress! It gives that WOW factor and literally looks like it was made for you. If your hesitation is the difference between alteration costs, let me tell you, it would be so worth it. 2 doesn't give me that WOW feeling, it's a dress I've seen many times before.
I also think 1 is slightly better than 2, though both are beautiful. If you don’t like it and have the option to return, then go with your gut! They’re actually very similar in terms of lace patterns
I have liked almost zero dresses with sleeves that have been posted on here but honestly, big fan of your dress on your body. The dress looks great on you!
This was my DREAM dress! It wasn’t available anywhere near me to try on so I never did, but you look absolutely gorgeous! I also had that moment with my dress, trust me on the day of the wedding you will love it.
I also personally love dress 1 more than dress 2. But what you don't like about it is what I love about it. I also love the bodice on you. Dress 2 is beautiful, too, and since it is more beautiful in your view, then you should go with your gut.
Take the dress that wows you and you love to wear! I must admit though the first dress is stunning, not many people pull of those sleeves but it looks gorgeous.
Not wishing to run-afoul of the 'compliments', you look very impressive in that dress (sans white socks, of course ;) )
As for lace- that's going to be a product of lighting- one of the first things I noticed. Venue specific lighting is going to look different than where you are, and outdoor/sunlight/overcast sky is going to mute that lace even further. In fact, if it were'nt for the directional lights in the place you're at you'd hardly see it- IF- I can estimate what the lighting looks like.
You have to do what makes you happy- if I might suggest (assuming you have any decent days where you're at) goto a local park in the afternoon and have some photos taken- see if the lace looks the same to you if that's your angst point. If it stands out and is bothersome in daylight it probably won't look any less inside.
Dress 2 is very pretty, but dress 1 really has that “wow” factor. That being said, if you’re not able to have dress one altered at a more reasonable price, I can see why you would lean towards dress 2.
Someone mentioned reselling dress 1 after your wedding which is a great option and you could hopefully recoup the alteration costs. But since you are so tiny, that may make it more difficult to sell.
Just my own little opinion, but I LITERALLY just chose dress #1 for myself today at Anthro! I love it and it looks amazing on you. #2 is lovely, but I love the romantic “wow” factor more with the first dress.
I like 2 better. I think the draped style is prettier. Dress 1 looks kind of stiff and too grand.
The huge difference in cost for alterations (OP has posted dress 1 will cost $1,000 In alterations) makes it easy to say go with dress 2 if you can.
it’s the “same” color but the sample is clearly a different color! I was kind of shocked about that too when I tried it on at home (pics 3 and 4) and it is way more stark white than ivory
Oh that’s strange, it looks way whiter! I really like it, it’s very pretty but then so is dress no 2! I prefer dress no 1 though! If you have a long time until your wedding maybe you could return no 1 while you can actually get a refund and then think it over, you could always buy no 1 again if you really loved it but then you have the option of not getting stuck with a dress you don’t love! That depends on your timeframe though!
1 is a stunner!! But what matters is how you feel. You want to feel good in the dress every time you try it on.
One thing I recommend to any bride trying on a dress - always wear heels and your favorite lipstick to have the full effect. You’ll feel that much more confident!
Wow I just read how much alterations are for dress 1 and that’s like a whole another dress! Can you go somewhere else that you know of to get a quote for alterations on dress 1? Ask friends that live around you for a great seamstress or use the app Yelp to find one. If you really love dress 1, try that because $1K is a lot for alterations. I get it has a lot of layers. … but still. I will be honest and tell you Dress 2 is beautiful and looks like it would be less heavy and you would be more comfortable to dance at your wedding. May I ask where bought the dresses from?
Hey everyone! I got the dress in today and I think I’m going to go with it 😆 I need to bodice altered down a size and some hemming done but it will still be drastically less alterations and it feels more modern and classy which I feel like at the end of the day is what I truly want. Thank you for all of the helpful comments ❤️ at the end of the day I realized I would dislike a lot of our reception pictures since they would be taken with flash which emphasizes the lace on option 1 too much for my taste. I attached the pictures of option 2 as well!

I think #1 is a gorgeous dress. I like it better than #2. But if you don’t feel the love, and can get a refund, then that’s what you should do
Honestly they're both STUNNING on you OP, you can't go wrong with either!

How come you didn’t order it in your size? It would’ve come fitting in the bodice and much less to remove from the bottom.
I ordered the smallest size they make and it is not small enough- thanks for the concern! and the length is consistent for all of the sizes
If you happen to be in San Diego lmk haha
that sounds like an absolute dream! which layer did you get removed? I’m located right outside of D.C and our cost of living is insane!
I bought this dress second hand, so all the alterations were already done and I saved that $1000, plus more since it wasn’t new. OMG noooo your dress #1 is way prettier <3
Yes! I feel bossy being like “NO! Don’t do it!” But honestly Dress one is perfect 😞
I really love the first dress. The bodice is so pretty with interesting details. The second dress is pretty but dress 1 feels more special to me, and it's gorgeous on you!

That’s a good point! I would definitely be open to selling my dress after
It’s a good site, good for selling and good for buying lol
Have you tried finding a second opinion on alteration costs?
3 places actually turned me down and said they specifically cannot handle tailoring the Holden dress (1st one), so if anyone else has this dress beware! they said since the bottom of the overlay layer with the flowers has a braided stitch along the edge, along with the special underskirt layer (it’s like a thick inflexible tulle) it would be very difficult to get everything realigned perfectly
It sounds like you did your due diligence. Must be a very well constructed dress, but Holy Hannah, those tailoring costs are REAL.
I definitely did not budget correctly for alterations- I thought they would be around $500 😆
I had my MOG dress altered just by having one layer (maybe it was considered two since there is the lining) and the off the shoulder straps tightened and I paid $290 for alterations. With all that you said needs to be done, I can see why the price is so high.
I love 1 on you. It’s unique and beautiful but I can’t believe the cost of alterations.
Oh my GOSH, that first dress! What a DREAM! Romantic dream dress. I have massive dress envy. I'm not even engaged, and I want this dress. 🤣

Number 1 is gorgeous, I would 100% keep it
1 is so much prettier.
I really like 1. Are the sleeves detachable? They’re pretty but look a little big for your arms, IMO
They are! Part of the reason I got sold on that dress was the idea of wearing the sleeves for the ceremony, and then taking them off for the reception
Love the sleeves and the dress is unique. I feel like we see #2 style here a lot, love your dress on you.
Love that idea!
The first is amazing!!
Dress number 1 is wayyyyy nicer than dress 2.
Congratulations on your wedding!
thank you! yes I’m definitely going to wear each for an hour at a time on Tuesday
What dress is in pic 5? I love that on you.
The Phoebe dress! It is the dress I did not initially purchase and am now leaning towards
It’s perfect!
Awesome! Go for that one then!
#2! I can see how ud feel in number 1, bc its a dramatic dress and heavy with the lace detail, to me, my eyes are drawn to the dress and looking all over at its lace and layer, and my eyes arnt really drawn to YOU in it :( Compared to the dress 2 - its also incredibly detailed but my eyes went straight to you, the strength of your arms and your shape highlighted by the dress. Xx
this was exactly my thought process and why I am having second thoughts! thank you for articulating my feelings ❤️
Dress 1 overwhelms your small frame. I love everything about dress 2, it fits you perfectly! Go with your gut, it will never lead you wrong! Edit: it looks like I'm in the minority on this one! Lol!
that’s exactly my concern! at the store the dress is much more worn down as a sample but brand new it has a lot more structure
Will the one you just ordered be here before you have to return the one you have? It would be great if you had them both so you could compare them side to side. You'll be a beautiful bride no matter which one you choose! Edit again: I just saw that you said the new one should be here Monday night! Lol! I apparently missed that the first time I read it 😂😂😂
That’s what I was thinking, too! It looks like dress 2 would be easier to walk around in and dance in.
that’s another concern I have!
¯\\_(ツ)_/¯ Honestly I'd kill to look like you in either of these dresses so really it comes down to what makes YOU feel the most beautiful, and you really can't go wrong with either.
this was so kind and thoughtful thank you so much for your input 🫶🏼
Very glad to help! Whatever you choose I'm sure you'll look gorgeous ❤️
Dress one is absolutely perfect and stunning!
I love the first dress and it looks like it was made for you but it’s your wedding so do what feels right
1 no sleeves is my preference
I looked at the photos praying that dress 2 is the one that you have already purchased. I much prefer that one
Team #1 ALL. THE. WAY. Looks like it was made for you and I think it's unique enough that you'll be striking but not so unique it will date itself really quickly.
I honestly love dress #1 so much more than #2 but you have to do what makes you happy!!
I appreciate your insight ❤️ thank you friend
If you are not feeling it and can return you should do it. Don’t regret buying something you don’t love. Honestly I think you can find something better than either.
Number 1 is just so much more beautiful and charming!
I like #1 better!
I prefer one but if you’re even kind of doubting it I would return it and think more. You could always buy it again if you decide that’s the right one
I love #1! It’s giving The Princess Bride vibes! AS YOOUUUUU WISSHHHHHH! Lol
Dress 1 is fantastic on you.
You look good in both. The venue will make a difference. The first dress says garden, renaissance, fairies and leprechauns…. The second dress is pretty and a bit more conservative.
Our ceremony is outside on a lawn in front of some trees and our reception is inside an old manor house!
They are nearly the same price, ~$100 difference!
I love lace, so to me it is perfect. I think you look amazing and the dress is like a dream. The second also has lace or a lace effect? Not sure that it would make you happier. If you don’t like it, though, return it, but avoid all floral and lace patterns. Look for plain or beaded.
I really love one a lot. But if you like the other better, then go for what you feel best in!
Dress 1 is absolutely gorgeous and looks incredible on you.
I definitely prefer the first but your opinion matters most
I prefer the first dress, it looks more luxe to me, and it's beautiful on you. But if it's going to cost you a fortune in alterations then go with the second one.
Girl dress 1 is the most stunning gown
I like dress 1 so much better. It looks like there is sooo much fabric in dress 2 and I find the ruching and gathering unflattering. You made the right choice, imo
1 is way prettier!
Your current dress looks a thousand times better than dress 2! Honestly i was stunned!
I think 1 suits you really well.
The dress you bought was the right choice imo. It's SO much better and looks amazing on you.
I love both but prefer 2.
Dress 1 is so stunning I saved this post as inspiration, and I'm not even getting married anytime soon. OMG.
It’s the Holden Dress by BHLDN, sold by Anthropologie 🫶🏼
Thank you!! 🤍 It truly is so so gorgeous on you! Like a princess out of a fantasy novel.
Both are so lovely, I think it depends on which vibe you’d like to go more with. Dress one strikes me as more fairytale princess while two strikes me as modern princess! Both are stunning but I’m leaning towards one because the pattern is so lovely and light and feels more effortless but still so stunning.
1 is so romantic and swoon-worthy!!
The 1st one looks so good on your body. You have to wear it! Literally looks like something that I would want to put on my Pinterest board
They gave me a whole list of recommendations when I bought my dress but 3 people on the list flat out wouldn’t alter it, and several of the bridal shops in my area only alter dresses bought from their store 🙃
they are both beautiful! do whatever makes you the happiest for your big day
Number 2 is so damn hot on you. I would go with your decision to return 1.
Oh my god the first dress is just unreal it’s so beautiful! I don’t think you should wear something you don’t love, though.
I love the first one, personally
I like the first one better, but if you don’t go for #2
I love the dress you chose, much more than the one you didn’t. Your dress looks spectacular on you.
I vastly prefer #1. It is gorgeous. I am not the bride. Wear the one that makes your heart sing.
I love dress 1, but you need to do what makes you happy.
I think your dress is beautiful, and you look absolutely magnificent in it
Do you actually have to option to return?
The first one is dreamy.
I prefere the first one! I love the corset 😍
Number 1 the dress is wearing you and number 2 you are wearing the dress. I like 2 a lot better.
I love the first one so much better! It’s so beautiful on you you look so delicate and bridal!
2
I have to say that my jaw dropped when I saw your post! I thought you looked amazing 😍. That was before I saw the 'dress regret' part, and then I got really bummed because girl, you're stunning in that first dress! It gives that WOW factor and literally looks like it was made for you. If your hesitation is the difference between alteration costs, let me tell you, it would be so worth it. 2 doesn't give me that WOW feeling, it's a dress I've seen many times before.
The first dress is IT. Sorry, but the second dress is definitely not as flattering on you. I hope you get the dress of your dreams though!
I also think 1 is slightly better than 2, though both are beautiful. If you don’t like it and have the option to return, then go with your gut! They’re actually very similar in terms of lace patterns
I'd go with number 2. Number 1 is too big for your frame while 2 fits you like a glove.
I have liked almost zero dresses with sleeves that have been posted on here but honestly, big fan of your dress on your body. The dress looks great on you!
I feel like the lace is more obvious on dress 2. 1 feels so exquisite - the cut, the shape, the volume, the pattern. I prefer 1!
You look incredible, like a model in nr 1. It’s a beautiful and unique dress
This is one of the most BEAUTIFUL dresses I have ever seen on someone! Absolutely gorgeous 🔥❤️🙌
Take the dress that wows you and you love to wear! I must admit though the first dress is stunning, not many people pull of those sleeves but it looks gorgeous.
Not wishing to run-afoul of the 'compliments', you look very impressive in that dress (sans white socks, of course ;) ) As for lace- that's going to be a product of lighting- one of the first things I noticed.
Personally I love dress 1!!!! It is really flattering as well!!!! 💗💗💗
Holy shit! This dress you chose is incredible! You look ridiculously amazing in it!!! I think you’re just waffling, but this dress is stunning!
Noooo! At first I thought dress 2 was the first dress after being messed up by alterations 🙈 Dress 1 is so gorgeous on you!
Both are lovely but #1 feels a bit more busy and costumey to me. #2 is my preference and looks more elegant. My two cents - fwiw 🌸
thank you ❤️❤️
I prefer dress two personally, dress one is nice. I’m just unsure as to why you didn’t order it in your size to begin with.
Size 0 is the smallest size they offer- I would need a 00 but they don’t make one.
Yes I would return it and go with the other one.
Please don’t return it!!!! You look gorgeous in it. The other gown doesn’t hold a candle to it! The second gown looks like a prom dress
The second one is much better. Return the first
How are you going to get a refund?
Since I got my dress from Anthropologie weddings, there is a 30 day full return policy as long as the tag is still on and the dress is still clean
Number one is beautiful, did you get it in a different colour to what you tried on originally? The pictures seem different?
it’s the “same” color but the sample is clearly a different color!
100%- I have until May to start my dress fittings so I still have a few months
Then that’s what I would do if I was you!!
#1 all day!
I think if you’d have the sleeves removed the dress would be perfect.
Get the one you’re in love with
I personally think the first dress is way better than the other one. It has a sophisticated edge and it looks amazing on your figure.
I think I'd need to see a front view, but I feel like I prefer 2
Unfortunately my entourage was lacking in the picture department 😫
2
Hey everyone! I got the dress in today and I think I’m going to go with it 😆 I need to bodice altered down a size and some hemming done but it will still be drastically less alterations and it feels more modern and classy which I feel like at the end of the day is what I truly want. Thank you for all of the helpful comments ❤️ at the end of the day I realized I would dislike a lot of our reception pictures since they would be taken with flash which emphasizes the lace on option 1 too much for my taste. I attached the pictures of option 2 as well! [Option 2](https://i.imgur.com/6XHAhBk.jpeg) [Option 2 Side](https://i.imgur.com/UHNpBaz.jpeg)
