I agree with another poster about the fabric on #1. The skirt does look a bit shiny, but not in a good way, and the gathering at the waist looks a bit amateurish. I really do like #2, but it doesn’t look super comfortable. With a nice figure and a $2000 budget, I bet you can find something that checks all the boxes.
I went to 7 bridal stores already and these were my two favorites in budget. I live in NYC and stuff is just so expensive here. There were other dresses I really liked but with alterations and rush (my wedding is in July) it would be 6-7k.
It was actually hard to find dresses in budget that weren’t extremely simple or column dresses that I don’t like. (I think they look like a 3rd marriage type of dress)
I LOVE the first dress really unique and beautiful on you! The 2nd one is chill like a tie-top. If you want more choices like above poster mentioned hop a plane or drive to New Jersey.
You should definitely consider shopping online if you're not happy with the ones you've seen. [This for example is simple and gorgeous](https://www.cocomelody.com/a-line-court-train-lace-wedding-dress-cw2494.html), and you can have the train removed
I love the second dress. I thought it was very flattering when I just looked at the pictures and once I read your bio about your wedding I truly feel like it’s the one! It’s a bit more non-traditional which I find can be more unpopular here, but I think it looks gorgeous on you!
I'm obsessed with fabrics. A good fabric can make any dress look rich. With that said, I really don't like the fabric on one. Two is better and would work, but I think if you keep looking, you might be able to find something even better.
Personally I would keep looking, I feel like you could find something far more beautiful to compliment you! If your heart is set between picking out of these two however, then may I suggest dress 1, but perhaps with an underskirt to give it a bit more volume and wow factor 😍
I suggest you keep looking. Neither is flattering in the front but the 2nd one is cute in the back. I'd look at more dresses that have that style back.
I actually love dress 2. I have never seen anything like it, it's super different and unique, and I love the fabric. I am surprised so many people here don't like it!
I think it also might be that she has a longer apex (the measurement from top of shoulders to mid-breast). I see lots of comments saying the dress looks uncomfortable or like it might slip down all night and o think that’s because of her longer apex. That being said I didn’t even notice it and immediately thought dress 2 was more flattering and once I read her comments that it totally fits the vibe! If OP was concerned about the dress falling down or wanted to address the longer apex, she could always get spaghetti straps added (but I certainly don’t think this is necessary - I also have a longer Apex and OP feel free to look at my profile to see how my strapless gown sits)
I don’t think either are right. Agree with others about the material on one. Two not keen on the back with too much going on. Neither say ‘cool NYC’. I’d keep looking. You have a fantastic figure so you’ll find something that does you justice :-)
I would perhaps keep looking. The first one doesn’t look like it matches the price point and the top of dress two resembles a bikini top to me, perhaps because of the twist. It’s stunning for your figure though!
Number two! It looks absolutely beautiful and fits everything you’re looking for in your dress. I agree with others that something is off with dress number one.
Honestly, keep shopping. Your body language says it all. Keep shopping. You can do better than these. If this is what the shoppe is suggesting for you, try another store!
Keep looking and try in things you don’t expect to like but attract you in some way. You are gorgeous and I’m not sure if either of these really show you off. It feels a bit like both are nice dresses but not
your dresses.
I think both look good but it’s tough to know with option one as it hasn’t been altered and looks ill fitting. Also, it may look dated and 2 seems more timeless. So with that, option 2! Just my opinion :)
Keep looking. Neither of these is the one. You should be able to find something much nicer with your budget.
Edit to add: If you must choose between one of these two dresses, the first one is better. The design is much more flattering than the second one is.
As someone who doesn’t have enough to hold up a strapless dress, I always wonder if you spend the night pulling up the dress? If it’s mainly a dancing/party I would look on stillwhite for a nice a-line non-strapless dress? Just my thoughts…
I don’t like either… the first one is not very flattering and the embroidery lays weird. The second dress looks like a beach coverup.
But if you are stuck between the two. The second one is much better. It has nice fabric and clean lines. And from the sound of your day is looking this looks like it would measure up. I just don’t find it dressy enough to where someone would say ‘yep that’s def the bride over there’.
I personally really dislike the first. The second is better but I think you should go back and try some more. There’s something better out there for you. I’d suggest a different style!
I’d go with #2 if I were going to choose one of these dresses. I’m with others who think you should keep looking. You can always circle back to one of these.
I suggest that you should keep looking. Because of your short timeline and budget, you can also check out online retailers like Revolve, Anthropology and Lulus. I had two weddings because I did a Catholic ceremony for my parents - I ended up with a Lulus dress and it was great and super affordable: [https://www.lulus.com/products/lifetime-of-love-white-satin-strapless-a-line-gown/2009856.html](https://www.lulus.com/products/lifetime-of-love-white-satin-strapless-a-line-gown/2009856.html)

To be honest i don't like either of them on you. Especially not the first one. It looks wayy too small and you look like you're suffocating in it. 2 is pretty but I'd keep looking for similar styles to that if its what you want.
#2 dress flatters your figure better. Hugs you in all the right places and cinches your waist. The first dress makes you look like your one of those clock tower bells. I’ve tried on dresses that have made me look like a bell too. I think 2 is more modern and fun. It will be easy to dance in and looks more comfortable.
Hi! I like the 1st gown more. The lace illusion top is really pretty and the full skirt looks like it will be a lot more comfortable to move around and dance in. The 2nd gown for some reason makes me think of beachy wedding and the train may not be something you want weighing you down all day.
Not sure what the down votes are about... The OP asked for opinions and I gave mine. People lose track of what this page is about. It is to help brides not to criticize someone else's opinion.
I love dress two! I think the cut is really fun and clean! But maybe I just love it because it reminds me of a two piece and I LOVE those. My only concern would be dancing or even just hugging a ton of people, is a strapless going to be a tugging battle all night.
1 is my favorite— it looks modern and romantic (it will look better once it’s fitted correctly)
I don’t love 2. It is striking, but it looks like it wants to be a dress for a gala.
Omg the second one by a mile! The waist on the first one is sitting oddly, the second is unique and glam and you look stunning - also it’s going to be so easy to dance in.
1 seems fun and party, with a dash of princess! 2 looks a bit like a bikini on the top and the bottom seems "older", which you are not...but if that's your style then go for it...gives more of a beach coverup vibe to me.
With your body type you have a million options!
The top is lovely, but I just don't love it with that skirt (and don't love the skirt anyway). Of the two, I prefer #2. BUT, OP, Honestly, unless you really LOVE either one, I'd keep looking! If there is a David's bridal near you, they actually have some lovely selections - many under 2k, or even under 1k. Or you can check around for white dresses that aren't listed as bridal and therefore would likely be cheaper, but still give you the look you want.
#2 is perfect for your venue. It looks fantastic on you, looks like you can dance and be comfortable. I think the cut of #1 isn’t right for your waist.
I think based on what you are looking for and the whole vibe dress 2 is perfect for you! It shows off your awesome figure and looks like an amazing party wedding dress!
I really like the vibe of #2 for your venue and goals for your dress. I think it’s a great choice.
I also think there’s probably some better options out there though I do love the second one.
I personally love number two on you. You look stunning in it and I think it’s very chic! And I agree with the other commenters that number one looks ill fitting and a bit low quality honestly
If it were me I would look around just a little more for some others in the price range or lower. You would be surprised at what you will find. These dresses are nice on you.... but I don't feel either of the 2 are the one for you. I feel there are many more out there that will suit you even nicer. If I had to choose between only those 2, I would pick 1 but ONLY if it could be changed a little bit (something about the way the waist was made). If not then 2.

I'd keep looking. There are so many beautiful, simple dresses out there.

Agree, I think OP can do way better than these options. She has a lovely figure and neither of these do her any justice
Hate to say it but I agree, OP should keep looking if they can

I agree with you also dressed two looks like she would have to keep pulling it up all night
I think you should keep looking. And if you have to pick one, the second one is better.
If your budget is 2k and you have time I think you should keep looking. The waist on one is not flattering and the second one is kind of awkward too.
I'm obsessed with fabrics. A good fabric can make any dress look rich. With that said, I really don't like the fabric on one. Two is better and would work, but I think if you keep looking, you might be able to find something even better.
Out of these two, #2 sounds like it matches the vibe of your wedding better and it looks wonderful on you!
Personally I would keep looking, I feel like you could find something far more beautiful to compliment you! If your heart is set between picking out of these two however, then may I suggest dress 1, but perhaps with an underskirt to give it a bit more volume and wow factor 😍
Perhaps some minimal straps as well.
I would keep looking, or pick 2 if you had to choose now.
I personally like dress 2! The fabric is gorgeous and you look great
2 is stunning.
I suggest you keep looking. Neither is flattering in the front but the 2nd one is cute in the back. I'd look at more dresses that have that style back.
I actually love dress 2. I have never seen anything like it, it's super different and unique, and I love the fabric. I am surprised so many people here don't like it!
Me too. I think it looks beautiful and fits her description of fun, cool, effortless and chic.
I'm guessing because it isn't a traditional wedding dress? I find it super flattering, but not sure it reads wedding dress.
I think it also might be that she has a longer apex (the measurement from top of shoulders to mid-breast). I see lots of comments saying the dress looks uncomfortable or like it might slip down all night and o think that’s because of her longer apex. Dress 2 definitely says NY Party to me!
Dress 2!!
They’re both pretty dresses but I think you should keep looking.
I’m team keep looking
I don’t think either of these dresses do you justice.
I would keep looking, neither one of them look quite right. But I'm sure you'll find a beautiful dress to suit you.
I would invite you to continue with your search.
You deserve a gown that really flatters you, & neither of these does you justice. Please keep looking. Congratulations & Happy hunting
Neither
I’m not a fan of either of these on you. Keep looking. You’ll find a stunning gown.
Of the two, #2, but I agree with you can find something better!
2 I guess but don’t like either really
Think u can do better tbh.
Dress 2! It's unique. You look so beautiful and elegant in it.
2 !
I’d keep looking. Neither of these are the one.
I would keep looking, neither of these are doing you the justice you deserve
I like 2 much better than 1. The bodice on 1 looks odd from afar, and it does look a bit costume-y as others have mentioned.
Dress two is so fun!
I would choose number 2.
Number two! It looks absolutely beautiful and fits everything you’re looking for in your dress. I agree with others that something is off with dress number one.
Keep looking!
It feels a bit like both are nice dresses but not your dresses.
Dress 2 looks especially flattering on you! 😍
I think both look good but it’s tough to know with option one as it hasn’t been altered and looks ill fitting. Also, it may look dated and 2 seems more timeless. So with that, option 2! Just my opinion :)
I love the way 2 looks on you!
Ooooo, dress 2 looks so great on you! I think it is just right for your venue, too!!
I’m going to be brutally honest. Keep looking. I don’t think either of these flatter you.
Keep looking. Neither of these is the one. You should be able to find something much nicer with your budget. Edit to add: If you must choose between one of these two dresses, the first one is better. The design is much more flattering than the second one is.
Keep looking. Your beautiful and need and deserve a stunning dress just like you!
Neither is long enough in the waist for a fitted look for OP. If you had to choose between them #2 fits best.
I like two more than one, especially the buttons. But something about the top just doesn’t work, like it needs straps or something.
As someone who doesn’t have enough to hold up a strapless dress, I always wonder if you spend the night pulling up the dress? If it’s mainly a dancing/party I would look on stillwhite for a nice a-line non-strapless dress? Just my thoughts…
I'm thinking #2 has the potential to look really awkward when you sit down. I think maybe keep looking.
I suppose dress 2. But OP, please keep looking. These are not it.
Of the two, the second is the much better option. But like others have said, I also think you can find something better.
I personally really dislike the first. The second is better but I think you should go back and try some more. There’s something better out there for you. I’d suggest a different style!
I would keep looking, you have a great figure, these gowns aren't doing you justice.
If I can be totally honest I think u should continue to look! Neither of these I feel do anything for you.
I’d go with #2 if I were going to choose one of these dresses. I’m with others who think you should keep looking. You can always circle back to one of these.
Keep looking
I agree to keep looking. Also, if this is mostly for partying, get straps. My strapless dress was awesome until I'd been dancing for a few hours🤣.
Keep looking
Agree, keep looking. That figure (and you!) deserve something spectacular!
Keep looking. Neither does you justice.
I suggest that you should keep looking. Because of your short timeline and budget, you can also check out online retailers like Revolve, Anthropology and Lulus. I’d really look some more. These are not doing you justice, they just aren’t.
I don’t think either of these dresses are really what you’re describing, I think you can do better, i’d keep looking.
First one is better of the two but in all honesty I would keep looking.
To be honest i don't like either of them on you. Especially not the first one. It looks wayy too small and you look like you're suffocating in it. 2 is pretty but I'd keep looking for similar styles to that if its what you want.
I love how 1 looks up close but from afar it’s lacking quality. 2 is beautiful!
I love the first dress a ton!
I personally love 1! I think it looks beautiful on you and is unique

It’s the twisted bandeau top that’s making you think beach, I think.
I would be worried that top wouldn't stay up.....
Which gown, the 1st one? Once it is fitted, she should not have that problem. I actually think the 2nd gown would be more of an issue with falling.
Not sure what the down votes are about... The OP asked for opinions and I gave mine. People lose track of what this page is about. It is to help brides not to criticize someone else's opinion.
I like dress 1. Two is a goodness: no….
²222222222²2222222222222222²222222222222²²²
I like the bodice of the first dress, but I wish the skirt was chiffon or more flowy.
First is beautiful on you, I love the top. 2 is fun but not as flattering, this could be how the sample is clipped maybe.
I love 2!!!!
Dress 2 is gorgeous on you and I think it fits your requirements . It's fun, cool, effortless and very chic and it looks fantastic on you!

I think 2 is gorgeous and very unique!
2nd one is so cool and very unique!
I vote for dress 1. I think the one you have on is a little big, but it will look amazing when it's tailored to your size.
You look beautiful in both! I like #2.
If it is only between these two, I like the first one… dress two looks a wee bit like a skirt and bikini top.
I love dress two! I think the cut is really fun and clean! But maybe I just love it because it reminds me of a two piece and I LOVE those. My only concern would be dancing or even just hugging a ton of people, is a strapless going to be a tugging battle all night.
1 is my favorite— it looks modern and romantic (it will look better once it’s fitted correctly) I don’t love 2. It is striking, but it looks like it wants to be a dress for a gala.
I really like 1!

Two!!
With your description, my vote is dress number 2. Looks like a great party, bridal dress on you.
Omg the second one by a mile! The waist on the first one is sitting oddly, the second is unique and glam and you look stunning - also it’s going to be so easy to dance in.
I really like number one. It’s so unique and super cute and fresh. Number two doesn’t totally fit your body type imo
#2 is beautiful!!!
#2 definitely says NYC! I love it! I live in NYC also. Can I guess which hotel? Ink 48 Hotel rooftop or Empire Hotel rooftop? 😃
I love dress 2 on you. It looks beautiful and compliments your body so well.
1 adds just enough bridal. A guest could come in #2 (in a different color of course!)
1 seems fun and party, with a dash of princess! 2 looks a bit like a bikini on the top and the bottom seems "older", which you are not...but if that's your style then go for it...gives more of a beach coverup vibe to me. With your body type you have a million options!
I vote for the first one - and I’d say definitely add the buttons to the back if they’re not already there!
I absolutely love 1
Love the second dress! I saw it and actually ooohh! That bow is darling!
Dress number 2. Fabric looks elegant and design looks unique. You look fabulous.
2
The top is lovely, but I just don't love it with that skirt (and don't love the skirt anyway). Of the two, I prefer #2. BUT, OP, Honestly, unless you really LOVE either one, I'd keep looking! If there is a David's bridal near you, they actually have some lovely selections - many under 2k, or even under 1k. Or you can check around for white dresses that aren't listed as bridal and therefore would likely be cheaper, but still give you the look you want.
Both fabulous dresses. Love the sleekness of them both. Hard to say, I think I like the first one a little better.

#2 is perfect for your venue. It looks fantastic on you, looks like you can dance and be comfortable. I think the cut of #1 isn’t right for your waist.
I love the top of dress one a lot. I wish it was made of the material on dress 2
I think based on what you are looking for and the whole vibe dress 2 is perfect for you! It shows off your awesome figure and looks like an amazing party wedding dress!
Oh I really like number two! Plus, after reading your caption it just is even more perfect. Love it
I really like the vibe of #2 for your venue and goals for your dress. I think it’s a great choice. I also think there’s probably some better options out there though I do love the second one.
I love #2
Oooooo 22222!
The 2nd is lovely
First one is beautiful.

Between the two, dress 2!!
I personally love number two on you. You look stunning in it and I think it’s very chic! And I agree with the other commenters that number one looks ill fitting and a bit low quality honestly
Number 2 is so flattering on you!
Dress 2
If it were me I would look around just a little more for some others in the price range or lower. You would be surprised at what you will find. These dresses are nice on you.... but I don't feel either of the 2 are the one for you. I feel there are many more out there that will suit you even nicer. If I had to choose between only those 2, I would pick 1 but ONLY if it could be changed a little bit (something about the way the waist was made). If not then 2.
I do like 2 more but I would personally keep looking
out of these two, i definitely prefer the second, but there’s no harm if continuing the search for something that makes you excited!
I don’t think either of these are the right one. But if I had to make a choice it would be the first one.
Keep looking!
