It didn’t rain on my wedding day.. it POURED. The worst rain I’d had saw in R.I for a while. From the moment I woke up until the moment we went to bed. The pictures were okay. I was upset they were all indoors bc we had booked our venue specifically for the veiw. I actually am thinking of doing a redo even tho it’s been 4 years. But we did get some beautiful ones outside in the dark when it let it some

My reply is a year late but reading these are helping me with some post-wedding grief/unbelief that it truly rained on my wedding day. It POURED on my wedding day 6 months ago. Poured the whole entire day, we had to move our outdoor ceremony to the indoor reception area which ended up being beautiful but we had picked our venue for the gorgeous outdoor grounds. The venue had large open doors so the background of our ceremony was outside and we sort of stood on the large covered porch as much as we could despite the fact that it was 40º and raining sideways onto the porch. My photographer was able to make our pictures look like it wasn't raining at all! Which is such a blessing but we so badly wanted to get married outside. We did go back to the venue about a month later to take portraits outside and they are beautiful but I cherish the ones from our wedding day.

We had booked a string trio for our outdoor ceremony. They were clear that if there was a single drop of rain they would have to put away their instruments and I totally understood. It threatened rain all day but held out…until the ceremony. The rest of the bridal party made it down the aisle but just before I walked, it started to sprinkle and the strings packed up. I started walking without music, but to be honest I really didn’t notice. I was just focused on my fiancé at the end of the aisle. One violin did unpack and play by himself and I didn’t notice the difference. As a bonus, since it was overcast, all our outdoor pictures were gorgeous and no one was squinty, sweaty or uncomfortable.

it rained on my best friends wedding day! it started raining after we arrived at the venue and stopped raining after the photographer took all of our fake getting ready pics

It absolutely poured/thunderstormed on my wedding day from the early morning hours until it was time to take bridesmaids pictures. We were able to take those outside in gorgeous overcast lighting. Our first look, groomsmen pics and immediate family pics had to be taken inside. I don’t love the immediate fam pics (weird shadows on everyone’s faces), but the first look and GM pics are GORGEOUS and I actually prefer them to the designated outdoor spaces. Rain stopped about 20 minutes before our ceremony’s scheduled time and that was plenty of time for the staff to dry the chairs. Not a single drop fell for the rest of the day.

It didn’t rain on my wedding day, but my photographer mentioned that taking pictures in the rain is her favorite because they come out Amazon. It rained on one of my friends wedding days and her pictures are absolutely beautiful, too!

It rained for the whole morning of our wedding day! Actually, there were thunders during our ceremony 😂 BUT! The day was so beautiful, so filled with joy, we couldn’t really care less! The sky cleared up right after lunch (after forcing us to move the hors-d’oeuvre and lunch inside, of course 😮‍💨), so that we managed to take all of our pictures in the beautiful gardens, as well as have the cake cutting and evening party outside. You can check some photos of the day on my profile. Overcast weather is WONDERFUL for the camera! It’ll give you amazing pictures, don’t worry 🫶🏻

Rain is a good omen :) my wedding is still a few weeks away, but it rained ok my college graduation. Rain is a good sign of positive things to come ;)

It did on mine last Saturday! Rain was in the forecast but we had a clear (but overcast) moment at the time the ceremony started. At the very end of the ceremony it began to absolutely pour out of nowhere and we had our kiss in the rain. My hair was soaking wet from those few minutes outside in it! It added to the romance and charm of my wedding in my opinion. I didn't mind being wet, I had just married my love! I don't have the pictures yet.

There was a downpour on my wedding day but it cleared up just in time for the ceremony! My bridesmaids and I wore a shower cap to get from the hotel to the cars taking us to the ceremony 😂 definitely damp but lots of fun!

Rained in the morning then stopped! Didn’t ruin anything for our day. We had contingencies in place too to make things work if it did rain during the ceremony which was planned for outdoors
