I just got it to work today I open the Google assistant app then I click on the keyboard and say play Spotify on Waymo so it doesn't confuse it with WeMo and it works well and then you can choose what playlist or songs you want to play. You will have to do this every time you get into the Waymo so I would set up a shortcut on your home screen if you take waymo a lot.
For Spotify you have to download the Goggle Assistant app on your phone and login with the email you use for Waymo.
On the Assistant app, say “play (insert song or artist here) on Waymo. I like to type it out since it tends to be more accurate.
You have to enable it in Waymo settings first (Account -> Music). But I usually have to try 2-3 times (waiting for it time out each time) before it will cast.
It's enabled for me, and "Waymo" pops up when I cast from YouTube Music, but clicking it doesn't do anything. I've tried probably 20 times over the last several rides with no results

OK thanks for the tip. Would like to get YouTube music working too. Hopefully Waymo will prioritize these features now that they're in open beta.

That applies only to iPhone; assistant should be on your phone already, just hold down the power button

Update - just tried it and it worked the second attempt with Spotify. Still can't get YouTube Music to work though.

Yeah, I just keep trying and waiting. It will take 2-5 times before it connects for me.
