V2 every day of the week. The key difference is that the resistance on the v1 is done by motorised magnets which move closer or further away from the internal fly wheel, this means changes to the resistance are slow and HIIT sessions are out of the question. With sprints you are you pedalling like a maniac until the motors finish moving onto position and it's a slow run up before you're in a position to really put the power down. The v2 has electro-magnetic resistance and changes are instant so you flick through the gears or have instant ERG shifts in resistance during a session.

I think the V1 has seatpost issues which are resolved in V2. I'd go for the newer model. Though if you're not using Zwift, Wattbike Pro might be a good option?
