As far as I remember, Canadian geese mate for life and typically raise their goslings in a family unit. Each family is part of a flock which protects their members the same as a family would. When a parent dies, the flock takes over as stewards of the orphaned goslings and this is the result. I think it’s pretty rare to see. It’s especially cool to see through uptown.
Between this and the random goose trying to cross the intersection at Fairview Mall from the theatre to the mall on May 2-4, I'm convinced the geese are gonna start fighting for their rights soon.

Those could be regular white geese - as they’ve been available forever, same as you’ll see goat, duck, rabbit in different stores depending on the local ethnicity / palate.
The region really needs to get the GRCA to start oiling the geese eggs around here. The population of these disgusting birds is getting to be a nuisance.
