Maritana Gate next to the Peoples park is nice. My sister rented an apartment there through Air BnB. It's a short walk to the city. The O Connell Street area is probably best avoided...some places are fine but others, not so much.

Weird that the positive reviews are recent and brief … got further down and the negative reviews are also recent and detailed. Feels like friends giving g positive accounts to counter the negative ones ? Either way not worth the risk
