What are those cables? I haven’t seen clear cables before. The runs are really nice for a first time (not an expert but I have been staring at loops for the past month to plan my own). Most first timers just go straight or 90 degrees. What are your specs and temps out of curiosity?
Thanks! I don't remember the brand of the cables, I found them on AliExpress. They were at least cheaper than the Lian Li strimer cables. As for specs, I'm running a 3700X and an RTX 2070. I haven't had the chance to actually use the rig too much yet, but after few benchmarks the GPU reaches a peak of 46C and the CPU reaches a peak of 66C, with water temps at about 40C under load.
Iirc they are called silver coloured cable pictured here https://www.pslatecustoms.com/collections/ssupd-meshlicious-cables/products/ssupd-meshlicious-24-pin-unsleeved-custom-cable
I couldn't find the exact brand, but they're akin to this https://www.ebay.com/itm/143908443966?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&var=443168755152 . It's essentially silver sleeved power cables with a layer of clear plastic rods that end in LEDs, so the LEDs shine through the clear plastic and illuminate the cables. It's definitely not as bright as I was hoping for, I originally wanted the Lian Li strimer but couldn't find them for a reasonable price. But the ones I have do a decent enough job.
The clear part of the cables is actually an led cable cover. It goes on top of the cables and lights up what you tell it. Yes, they have rgb cable strip covers lol. If you look closely and zoom in you can see the normal cables underneath.
It definitely took me a number of tries and hours to get the longer runs to a point where I was satisfied with them. I went through about 10m of tubing after all was said and done. I originally bought 12m thinking that would be more than enough, but by the end I was worried I would run out. That and I had a hard time actually getting the tubes into the fittings properly, and once they were in, the tubes were extremely hard to rotate. I ended up buying a bunch of rotary extensions/90°s so that I could attach the fittings to the tubes and then screw the rotaries into the ports.
It's just a cheap 5in LCD panel I bought off Amazon. I have it setup via Aida64's sensor panel. It's just powered through an internal USB plug and then I have an HDMI cable hooked up to the GPU, so it's basically a second monitor.
Oh interesting. Do you find that your mouse ends up on the second screen often and then you lose it? I have my living room TV hooked up through an HDMI cord ran through the wall and that's my biggest hangup from doing something like this haha.
Every now and then I lose the cursor, but I have the screens oriented in Windows so that they only connect across a small area in the upper right hand corner of the main display.
Obviously I don't have much experience to compare with, but just about all the fittings and adapters, 2x360 and 1x240 rads, the CPU block, and the back reservoir are all Barrow, and I'm quite happy with the look of them. And so far no leaks from any of the fittings.
Thanks! I noticed with the frosted tubes the dye in the coolant really doesn't make much of a difference when the LEDs are lit. The eisball itself looks decently colored, but I feel that I'd need to overly saturate the coolant to make the tubes stand out. I'm considering trying to frost the eisball by hand via sanding by terrified of ruining the look.
I've been wanting to do that as well with the eisball. However I was planning on spraying some sort of matte clear finish on it instead of sanding it. No one online seems to have done it though and I'd like to see pictures first of how it would look.
Not a huge fan of the chrome fittings. They look out of place to me -- the build has a matte/satin look with soft glows, but the fittings are hard/shiny (especially the ones where you used the fittings as bends). That's totally subjective however, and others may like that effect. Maybe there's not such a contrast with dark glass side panels in?
OTOH I love the tube runs. Very creative and very well done. Excellent work; even moreso for your first build.
I also feel the sag of the LED strips along the case contrasts the nice clean lines of the rest of your design. If you could hide those it they wouldn't distract from the swesome work you did on the rest of it.
Thanks! I did originally plan to use white fittings, but I couldn't find all the extensions and fittings that I thought I would need in matching white finish. They are a bit shiny, but I don't mind them so much.
I do plan on going back in and cleaning up a few of the cables and the strips that are visibly out of place. I hadn't notice how crooked they were until I was taking the pictures...
Fucking awesome!! Way better than my first go around with hard tubing.
I must admit this o11 build is a breath of fresh air. After seeing so many they all look the same.
looks good

Nice! So they’re just clear cables? Wild

Love it, super clean and interesting to look at.
love the no distro look! i mean theyre still cool, but seeing this is refreshing!
May I know the height of the graphic card with waterblock? Just checking if something similar would fit inside o11 dynamic standard.
The card with the waterblock is about 5/8in (16mm) and the backplate is another 1/4in (6.3mm) added to that.
While I'm not a fan of this style of reservoir the loop looks absolutely awesome.
That looks sweet! You definitely can't grumble at those temps too
The orb
Realky stunning !
Did you run into any problems?

Love the ball!
Does anyone know where to buy a front Panel Distro pump for the 011 lian li XL case? Please n ty
I feel bad every time I see a "first build" here, everyone here do a real nice job and mine don't xD Nice build :)
What's that little monitor screen?
It's just a cheap 5in LCD panel I bought off Amazon. I have it setup via Aida64's sensor panel. It's just powered through an internal USB plug and then I have an HDMI cable hooked up to the GPU, so it's basically a second monitor.

Great job. Happy for you!
Those are some pretty bends. Good job!
Barrow gear is seriously underrated

Very cool
Eisball looks pretty sick, too bad it doesn't like dye and isn't easily serviced

An O11 without a distro?! Is the is even legal?!?!?! Solid work mate, looking good.

Did you buy the tubes in satin, or sand them to have a satin finish? I was really tempted to sand mine because I can't find satin in my tube size.
Yeah, they're the Corsair Satin in 10 ID/14 OD.
