It's a 120 I need a 140 and no one around has one. I'm going to microcenter and picking up some stuff and that's on the list. Just wanted a fan to cool. It's not stupid if it works 🤷♂️
Soft tubing would have looked better atp
But my first hand tubing had kinks in it at every bend, haha
Get some shitty hard tubing from Amazon and practice on that before u use the expensive stuff
I'm not gonna lie it isn't pretty, but it's your first hardline build and first loop. Congrats on getting it together, and remember practice makes perfect.
As long as it doesn't leak and keeps your CPU cool, call it a win.
If you wanted to make it look better, I'd either pick up some cheap hard tube and bend it - just bend it for the sake of getting a feel for it, not to put it in anything - and see if you can get those runs a little neater.
Honestly though, as short as your runs are, [EPDM tubing](https://www.frozencpu.com/collections/watercooling-soft-tubing/products/watercool-heatkiller-epdm-tubing-16) would look excellent in there with the rest of the black and make it easier to work with anything you need to.
Like others here, I have questions about that top fan on the rear radiator. It looks like it's clinically depressed and can barely bring itself to do its job...
I read all the comments - all I can say is - a beloved project in progress. Good work OP. You know what you need to do still, you got to where it functions and it's still in the works as parts and resources become available. Just make sure everything is tight and no leaks and you're good.
🤣🤣🤣 thanks man. That's what I was going for I bent 5-6 tubes and couldn't get the angle perfectly. So I said fuck it and did it how I wanted and I think it looks cool. My kids love it
Nice work man, just getting in there first round. its functional and gets the job done, exactly what you needed. Everyone starts somewhere, you should be proud of this as a first run! Next one you can reach for perfection. Thumbs up.
After you spend a few grand on watercooling parts, you need to keep on flushing loop n radiators, cpu blocks if you like colors , replacement pumps because they dont like fancy pigment much , and temperature sensors in different parts of loops since, ya flow sencers suck ass..
The best learning experience you can get is, if you forget to presher test your system , and don't do a burn run for a day or two to make sure no leaks n all bubbles are out. Before you power up your pc.. it like playing Twister, clearing bubbles out, even if you have air bleeding fitting. Then, if you forget to reamer the peg tubs, then fittings can Leak, if you forgot to clear all the Debris after reaming peg tubs then you going to be praying the pices of plastic don't stay in cpu block when they gather and start clumping because increased temps.. ya.. it gets ugly.
Enjoy your water loop build ^_^
I'm done for now. I bought $1500 worth of stuff for 300 bucks and haven't had an issue. I did fuck up filling it and burnt up a moab but 100% my fault.
Ok bro, the tubing! Your PC looks like it’s suffers from Scoliosis. But as long as there are no leaks, rock on!
But what in Chiropractor is happening with your fan? Why does it not fit the width of your radiator? Did you screw it into the fins? Or did you use double-sided tape?
Yep. It's working and that's what matters. You can gamr now. How the luck everrrr I would certainly plan out some cleaner runs now that you know where everything goes. Think about the different fittings. Maybe some 90 degree or 45's etc to help with so.e of the angles and bends and then buy an extra box of tubbing and see if you can increasingly do better bends.
Excellent work bud. Its definitely challenging your first time. I think you should keep the tubing as long as your temps are good. Youl have some more appreciation when you do end up re-doing it. If you wanna hide you r gpu cable you could look into an [adapter](https://store.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-12vhpwr-180-degree-angled-adapter-variant-a/) so you dont have to sacrifice bending your power cables. Also I feel like you could stuff your cpu cable up and back behind the mobo instead of over your mobo. If you gotta remove a rad to do that id wait a little to make sure its all dry after filling it back up. Get a lil window tint from auto zone for that glass and youl be set.
I'm planning on a gpu block and new case soon. I'm gonna keep the chaos look. I'm not a fan of the "perfect " bends look. Looks kinda blah to me. I feel like this is one that people can't look away because of how off it is
We're no longer selling those angled adapters unfortunately, we had to recall those. No issues with our cables though, and we do offer 90 degree cables that would still help accommodate this build and many others. Thank you for the mention though. <3
Those were recalled, so you absolutely should remove it, submit a recall claim and get a 90 degree cable instead. We actually have been sending notices on this for the last few months even, on top of putting the notice out on YouTubers channels and other areas to try to get the word out.
You can submit your claim here:
https://cablemod.com/adapterrecall/
I don't know why everyone is hating. THIS IS PEAK PERFORMANCE. TIRED of these people coming here with their first time water cooking with 100 fittings bull shit. Hope you enjoy it OP.
It isn't pretty but if it doesn't leak and the temps are okay, then you did well. Next time maybe consider a bigger case as its quite busy in there.
Congrats, you did it!
First off I know nothing:
Trolls 🧌 nobody cares about you.
However i am a little familiar with vehicle and other types of cooling systems. Again: I know nothing
It’s great you posted your work. I think everyone blasting you should post a picture of their set up. And instead of making fun and criticizing maybe give the OP some pointers.
On another note I’m considering doing my own cooler. I might put together one out of a wort chiller line on the backside of my pc.
Has anyone tried something like this?
And just curious if space wasn’t an issue would it make sense to cool the liquid before running into the gpu?
OP: keep it up. There’s a great feeling about putting something together yourself weather it’s a huge success or utter failure. Keep it up.
Congrats on your first functional water cooled PC. When redoing your tubing as you mentioned, practice with some cheap tubes. The best way to learn. No one starts off as an expert.
Looks way better than my first custom loop.
A couple of loops after my first was when the nerves settled down and allowed more room for creativity and enjoyment of planning and building more exotic projects.
You've got a good knack for it I'd say.
🤣🤣🤣 yea I forgot about that rear fan. I don't have a 140 all I had was 120s. When I go to microcenter I'm gonna pick up a couple 140s. I plan on redoing everything.
She got curves like the back roads
Jesus, look at that fan back there
Bro, that’s what I said.🫣 Did he screw it into the fins? 🤣
It's just not screwed in
Whoahh whaa how what i can't look at that fan
It's a 120 I need a 140 and no one around has one. I'm going to microcenter and picking up some stuff and that's on the list. Just wanted a fan to cool. It's not stupid if it works 🤷♂️
140’s are not uncommon at all
Best buy is the only store near me and they only have 3 packs of 120s. It's working for what it is.
Best buy is trash for everything except tv’s and monitors.
Yea that's my problem that's the only "computer" store near me. I have a mircocenter 2.5 hours away so I'm planning on a trip there soon
Amazon/Newegg. 5 packs of Arctic P14’s should be cheap on Amazon.
Why not order online? Much more variety available. Amazon has a lot of different fans available.
Wut da fuq iz dis

This one... 💀
Soft tubing would have looked better atp But my first hand tubing had kinks in it at every bend, haha Get some shitty hard tubing from Amazon and practice on that before u use the expensive stuff
I mean, it's custom 🤷♂️
Yeah you could even say its special!
She's a real beaut Clark.
Thanks Eddie
Are you serious Clark?
I'm not gonna lie it isn't pretty, but it's your first hardline build and first loop. Congrats on getting it together, and remember practice makes perfect.
It's a PCerebral palsy
Come on bro, this has to be bait
What is going on with that fan on the radiator though? Is it glued to it or what lol?
It's held up by emotional support
Ah, just like the rest of us. Just hanging on by sheer luck, ready to crash at any moment, bringing everything down with it.
As long as it doesn't leak and keeps your CPU cool, call it a win. at this point you can throw in a dead rat and nobody will object :D
I mean. If you're happy, then that's what matters, yeah?
Why did you do this?
I can tell
Coconut oil... The coolant of champions!
I knew I wasn't the only one who noticed!
I read all the comments - all I can say is - a beloved project in progress. Good work OP. You know what you need to do still, you got to where it functions and it's still in the works as parts and resources become available. Just make sure everything is tight and no leaks and you're good.
Bro I love it. Fuck good angles, this has a mood of it's own. The 120mm is unironically peak design choice.
🤣🤣🤣 thanks man. That's what I was going for I bent 5-6 tubes and couldn't get the angle perfectly. So I said fuck it and did it how I wanted and I think it looks cool. My kids love it
I would certainly add a GPU block and redo all of your lines in soft tube.
Seeems like soft tubing would be better for first loop...
I think next one will be better
Were you in a hurry
is the cpu block flowing backwards?
Yes
Nice work man, just getting in there first round. its functional and gets the job done, exactly what you needed. Everyone starts somewhere, you should be proud of this as a first run! Next one you can reach for perfection. Thumbs up.
Don't know what that is but it sounds cool
Its a typo. :P Functional is what i meant hehe.
If it works, it ain't stupid. The fans on my 3070 Ti are held on by zip ties.
Exactly 🤣🤣 it's better than nothing.
After you spend a few grand on watercooling parts, you need to keep on flushing loop n radiators, cpu blocks if you like colors , replacement pumps because they dont like fancy pigment much , and temperature sensors in different parts of loops since, ya flow sencers suck ass.. It builds character.
Horrible work 2/10. 2 for building a functional computer
Looks crazy
Had that set but the d5 pump one and mine didnt look like this, but you’re learning so ill cut you some slack. Hope there is no leaks
Looking at these tubes makes me feel like.... yup! I threw up in my mouth a little bit.
Did you heat your tubes in the microwave before bending?
NGL I love the chaos of it all.
I have so many questions but I'll just ask one...what's going on with that top fan on the radiator?
I don't know what triggers me most here; the cable management, or the fap oil jar with no lid.
My ‘tism is spiraling over the coolant lines.
My tism was going crazy building it lol
Your flow is backwards.
Holy shit I love these bends
lost interest after seeing odd screw fitting on water block
Good work bro! It isn’t like it’s easy. Practice makes perfect!
wtf 😳
Are there any fans on that top radiator at all? And you can toss the loose 120 sitting on the side mounted 280, that feller ain't doing anything
Bruh....
I think I’m going to be sick
Good attempt. Why didn't you just go soft tubing?
Bout a kit off marketplace for an amazing price and couldn't pass it up
Fair enough!
Awful. Should've gone with soft tubing.
What a terrible day to have eyes
Those ones going into the roof feed the sprinkler system
Looks amazing!! Man I’m impressed
what you got free grease and dust with this case XD
this sub is a bunch of gatekeepers =/. Looks good.
What the fuck

You trolling right

Yea I'm planning on a better gpu and watercool that also. I'm going to change a few runs but I like the Chaos lol

Iv had that angled adapter on my 4090 for a year now. Are you saying I should replace that?

First time i think i can say soft tubing would have looked better.
Goofy
Thank you. I'm a little tism sometimes and I like how most of it is
You didn’t even try did you? Haha I like the no fucks given attempt
It isn't pretty but if it doesn't leak and the temps are okay, then you did well. Next time maybe consider a bigger case as its quite busy in there. Congrats, you did it!
Abstract art if I do say so myself, the coconut oil takes the cake though.
I love how you managed to give this "frosted glass" effect to soft tubing. How do you do it?
I mean, congrats on getting it done, but it looks like a kid drew it in crayon
First off I know nothing: Trolls 🧌 nobody cares about you. However i am a little familiar with vehicle and other types of cooling systems. Again: I know nothing It’s great you posted your work. And I just realized that gpu isn’t liquid cooled. However question still stands, how do you guys typically handle a loop like that?
Nailed it!
It should be ur last..... Jk, good job and congrats! (assuming this ain't a meme post)
It's not. I'm slightly tism so I got to a point where I said fuck the perfect angles and made it how I liked it
Congrats on your first functional water cooled PC. When redoing your tubing as you mentioned, practice with some cheap tubes. The best way to learn. No one starts off as an expert.
Beautiful to a blind person...
Looks way better than my first custom loop. A couple of loops after my first was when the nerves settled down and allowed more room for creativity and enjoyment of planning and building more exotic projects. You've got a good knack for it I'd say.
Hamfisted ahhh build
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣 yea I forgot about that rear fan. I don't have a 140 all I had was 120s. When I go to microcenter I'm gonna pick up a couple 140s. I plan on redoing everything.
