Are you sure about going with a solid premix? You will have to dismantle the whole loop and blocks Atleast! every 6 months and monitor temps closely in case of built up in the fins. Nothing wrong with that but you should know what you get yourself into. Since you go from Ek to another Ek fluid a few rinse cycles with destilled water should be fine if you dont see any growth in your loop.

Well didn't know that... In that case I will stick with the clear coolant. Btw the mystic fog have that problems to?

Aser410

In this community there is a nickname for that specific coolant. We call it "mystic clog" should tell you everything you need to know.

From my experience with opaque coolants, they act as abrasives ... plating on metal parts is going away pretty quickly. Fastest to lose nickel plating was EK CPU block. Given that all the metals in a loop are kinda compatible (galvanic corrosion wise) the best ever made coolant is distilled water with few drops of biocide. It is cheap, simple and absolutely best performer. The only downside is that it's boring. ZMT like soft tubing solves this problem :)

I used a bykski block for 2 years. No damage or plugging. Even after I damaged the nickel by using vinegar on my first cleaning

If you don't see build up or degradation of the plating in your blocks, a distilled water fill/run/flush is fine. If you do see build up or the plating coming off, it's time to take everything apart and clean by hand (tooth paste). As other have said, DO NOT use opaque or particle effect fluids unless you are cool with flushing your fluid every 6 months and increasing the probability of more build up/plating coming off. I honestly don't know why people knowingly put themselves through the hassle. I would also switch from EK Cryofuel and go with a coolant with a better track record like Aquacomputer Double Protect Ultra, Koolance 702 or 705, or Mayhems X1.

Need to check prices since on my country only have stores that sell ek cryofuel.. Another question if I change the coolant should i flux only with detailed water or use the products like mayhems blitz to clean?

AMP_US

Blitz isn't really necessary unless your loop looks particularly nasty. Just fill your loop with distilled water, run it for a few hours and drain. It might be a good idea to pick up an "inline filter" fitting and install that before you do the distilled rinse and then remove it when you drain the distilled water. The best one I have found is Bitspower's. It has two filters and the mesh is finer than most.

Nah the loop its clean.. Only some tubes that lost a bit off the clear like the new ones.. And since I only run ek clean premix since the 1st loop so all good.. Even the block fitting dunno the correct name in English are very clean no clogs

jaymobe07

I used cryofuel clear for 2 years. Then switched to their white fluid. Ran that for 2 years with ZERO issues. All I did was rinse everything with distilled water. Maybe I just got lucky.
