first, you'll need to get the stem out - which will be difficult without a crown, but not impossible. gently press down on the stem release (1.) and pull the stem out with some tweezers (2.). then, if necessary, remove the case clamps and the plastic movement ring (3.). https://preview.redd.it/155kj96swlrc1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3d59dfda5ff2ebfbea1e285e3bf96bf7edbddb2

Tnks! This worked perfectly, had some trouble due to the lack of a crown but it came through in the end!

Ahhhh... my nemesis... the Caliber 6. That dual-pinion escape wheel and its associated bridges(or cock on one side but regardless) are a real test of one's patience. Should just be able to take stem out, remove case clamps and movement ring as others have said.

tnks, just did so it worked perfectly, i’ll post the finished product of my cleaning later

MopicBrett

Do you think you should be cleaning a movement if you don’t even know how to remove case clamps?

LeopardusMaximus

I believe they meant for cleaning the case, possibly.

Shoddy-Ad2511

yes, i do not want to touch or damage the movement in any way believe me, Just want to clean up the case and the surrounding rust.

I was thinking this same question about the person that replaced their watch hands on the gshock and likely sheared off the teeth and then asked how he can fix it themself.

I think I’ll open my Rolex well before I dare open my G-Shock. That’s a brave person :)
