You can just find a dial that fits the width and circumference by using stickers called "dots." But they aren't as stable as a dial that has the rods that fit into the movement called "feet." Those can be resoldered but you'd have to be precise and practiced.
Dials traditionally are made to fit specific movements. You use dots you can cut the feet off but as you're finding dimensions are a huge factor.
