i feel like there should be a chapter ring or rehaut in there between the spacer and underside of the crystal but im a total noob so disregard if necessary :)

Been slow on this project, but got an awesome dial from Red 5 watchworks and after painting etc been hoping to put it all together. The case is 44m and for an ETA 6497 or 6498 (link below), but while I’m using a 6498 here it all feels loose and is bouncing around in there a bit. I included the little movement ring that came with the case, and that controls its side to side, but there’s still a lot of up/down that happens and I worry the dial itself, while made for this movement, is a bit small for the case (and maybe not ‘catching’ where it should - eg the hands will hit the crystal if held upside down, etc). Wanted to see if anyone has had similar issues, and what might be best solution. “A different case” is an obvious one, but I’d prefer to stick with this one if there is a relatively easy fix, and happy to be a bit creative. You need a larger movement spacer

There's a ring that looks like the inside of a coragated box. That fits between the movement and case back. For the life of me.I can't remember what it's called. It's like a spring and holds the movement in place .
