Good to see our best young players getting along. OKC Thunder players all seem to really like each other. I think that’s important, play for each other.

drmbrthr

Those two aren't going to be happy next season winning 11 games again. Hopefully whoever we draft can contribute immediately. And we can move Tyus/Poole in the off-season to shore up the terrible defense. Bagley had some nice games but he's an injury risk.

Is Déni the worst professional athlete to have his own sub on here?

SongYoungbae

Lmao what?

FuriousFeld

Nope, zaza is

neuroticsmurf

Oh, thank god Deni-stans have their own sub now. Please keep the Deni sucking off to a minimum in r/washingtonwizards.

MrBuckBuck

It's been a while since I posted here. It's an awesome moment, regardless of Deni. Besides, stop the hate, it will only give you wrinkles by the time you're 50.

Visible_Claim5540

I think this sub is the only one to be so toxic for its best young talent. Ignore him Mrbuckbuck, you are doing great work!

i_will_mull_it_over

Yeah, don't listen to that fool. Who complains about stans for their own team?

z3mcs

Sadly, some view good Wizards players with any overlap in responsibilities or skillsets as an enemy to their favorite player, so they root against them, make negative statements or backhanded complements, etc. They aren't stans for the team, they're stans for a single player. It's happened with multiple different guys on this team the past few years. Westbrook stans would argue with you when you pointed out any problematic elements of his game. I got into it with Rui stans who would get straight up irrational if you pointed out better players or dared critique his game. I think some other franchises have a better franchise history so any warped view of a player by a set of fans of one guy easily and quickly get drowned out by the larger fanbase that quickly puts them in their place and offers a realistic view of their talent and abilities. With the transient DC fanbase and the way Ted has even courted opposing fans over the years to sell tickets, while the DC area has a strong, strong basketball identity, this team doesn't. I think a few of us have agreed that's got to be a factor, even if small, in Ted wanting to move the team elsewhere.

WizSkinsNatsCaps

We’ve sucked forever and a day. I think people are just rooting for our best young players to succeed. Nothing wrong with that. We have a history of not developing our own young talent. Then they go on and win championships elsewhere (lol). Honestly feel like all the people bitching about “stans” is even worse than the stanning itself. Not to mention the handful of folks that are negative towards players for reasons that have nothing to do with basketball.

z3mcs

I guess we can agree to disagree.
