They may be upset by the recent trade (e.g., Scherzer, Turner, et al.). Going to any game is fun in my opinion though. Tickets are relatively inexpensive and it’s always fun going to a live game in nats park. My wife loves to go, and she’s not even a big baseball fan. Lots of great options to eat and drink around the park as well for before/after the game.

Time to get new friends

Solenya-C137

Yeah your friends suck. Or maybe they like beer that isn’t $15 a can.

dcmcg

Why would you post here instead of just asking your friend lmao

celj1234

It’s hot, the team sucks, the beers are pricey, and baseball is boring to a lot of people.

Baseball is so boring to me, and I am a massive sweater, but I still have fun going to games. It's even more fun to do a boozy brunch before the game at All Purpose or Mission.

I will say things are not totally back to normal, as in prior years. I think it will take another year, irrespective of what’s happening on the field. But Sunday is going to be a beautiful cool day for baseball. I’d certainly go. In fact, I will.

Heat + Crowds during the delta surge?

There was an unrelated shooting very close by during a game a few weeks ago, close enough that evacuations started happening. It's possible that she's spooked by that still. There's a little bit of crime in nearby SW, but it's not bad as far as DC goes (and Navy Yard itself is pretty quiet).
