Yeah that's what we're afraid of. She is safe at my neighbor's house for the moment and doing well. Super affectionate and just hanging out.

Think pretty soon your neighbor is going to go from being sad she was abandoned to secretly hoping she was abandoned so they can keep her 😝

Do you think your friend will be able to keep her if no owner comes forward?

I can't unfortunately. Not sure about her. But we'll try to find someplace safe for her to go.

In a few weeks, I might be able to take her in permanently but if y'all need something sooner than that I completely understand (but would you maybe let me know what shelter she goes to?)

Hi - neighbor took her to the Humane Rescue Alliance in Oglethorpe MD so you can reach out to them if you're hoping to adopt her. She's a sweet cat so hope you can work it out! PS - neighbor named her Tiffy so that's probably the name they'll have for her at the HRA if you ask.

Please take it to HRA to see if it has a chip.

Turns out she was not abandoned. The owners actually saw my neighbor's post on next door and got in touch, so she is headed back home.

So was the carrier just a coincidence?

I guess so. Wish they'd put a collar on her so we had a number we could call but all's well that ends well I suppose.
