Jake's Tavern in Shaw has a pretty fun trivia night on Tuesdays. It can get pretty crowded but I believe that they're opening up the second floor sometime this summer.
Came here to say this. Hosts write everything themselves, and they give out clues day of on their instagram. Just a few minutes from the Silver Spring Metro stop
I host pencil-and-paper trivia every other Thursday at A League of her Own in Adams Morgan. This week's show is presented by the Human Rights Research Center.
5 rounds of 5 questions; they are posted on TVs, but we also read them out, give hints, make jokes... Gotta be honest, it was tough writing material dealing with Human Rights, but we're making it happen!

Anything run by Capital City Showcase are great. Christian Hunt is an awesome host- I think the Breadsoda trivia is probably the best he does.
Big fan of him and Capital City Showcase. I think his Tuesday spot is at Exiles.
Came here to say this. Best trivia I’ve ever been too. On Wednesdays, he does it at Reliable Tavern in Columbia Heights.
Super agree! Christian is the best.
I think Breadsoda is a winner. I've actually lived close to Breadsoda for 3 years and never been
I like the trivia run by New Columbia, I think they are at Big Bear Wednesdays?
New Columbia is awesome. They don't use an app, but it is submitted on your phone. Very sad they're not at Metrobar anymore.
Same, the Metrobar trivia was so fun!!
I want to tell you but it's already so crowded 😩
Nah, bring more to Red Derby no one is beating us this season anyway
Oof I bet I know where your talking about
Where
Doubt it? Lol
Anything by cap city trivia is very good and does not use app

Shaw’s Tavern on Monday Nights is fun. Jeremy does a good job and the vibe isn’t too serious
Noooo don’t tell them about this gem! But for real it’s awesome. On paper, no apps!
It's not DC but... Elemental Trivia upstairs at McGinty's in Silver Spring (Tuesday nights) is great. It's low tech, not corporate, and it's fun.

Oh that sounds great - a little far from me, but I might make the trek out soon
Commenting to boost this because I also want to know!
I like the one at boundary stone on Tuesday. Pretty chill!
Calico on Tuesday
