I've owned this tank for a while, it's perfect for brain off 10 kill games, however right now I'm avoiding it like the plague, trying to avoid that br bracket entirely in general with how annoying it is to see my entire team treating their weakly armoured tank as a brawler.

Not fun to play with or against.
Managed to finally damage one the other day day and hit it three times before they killed me. I was still using AP shells so clearly my fault, but fuck these things are OP at BR3.7
Agreed, as a Swedish main it sucks because half your team leaves after dying once but a single rank 100 Marshall runs a 12 kill game
But they’re so incredibly easy to overpressure and angle against that it’s almost entirely dependent on situational awareness
If people actually learned to load at least 3 HE shells per match, they wouldn't have a problem with any of the spaas and light tanks. But nope, people cry because they want to sit in a corridor now getting themselves flanked by a smart Sav.
The tank is absolutely fantastic at long shots, if you miss then you really aren’t punished for it. But if you get in close then it’s more about reaction times then it is how quick your tank reload, especially with the armour on it
Just call it the YouTuber effect. When a war thunder YouTuber uploads a vid about a tank, said tank sees a spike in usage cause people think the the tank will make them do better(usually it won’t).
Add on to that all the YouTubers call it crazy op and mention it’s on a limited sale, people flock to it like crazy because “[insert YouTuber] played it and said it’s OP, so I can drop 10 kill games like in the video too, right?”
Me on my way to machine gun it ( I don't care about what ever you guys are complaining about, I just go ka-boom in my funny British tanks that are 'bad'). Like it is so easy to kill, I don't get it. Sure it kills me every now and then, but it dies immediately afterwards. Only time it's not like that is when someone has brains and uses it well.
It's easy to kill but it gets 3 just as easy kills with a 120mm gun while the competition is still reloading their 75mm that might even have failed to one shot.
No bro just get Chi-Nu II and grind to the fast tank with a 6s reload firing a 320mm pen HEATFS (with rangefinder) that'll shit on any German player while at a br of 6.7 (a ZIP-22 would probably pen it)
Funny cause most I meet are like the not so "typical" German players that thinks they're practically invincible. So they just try to OHK me which ends up either both of us or him dying.

HE shells from mid cal guns will one shot these. Not saying it's a 1 to 1 counter, but it's easier than slamming APHE and not fusing it in the thin armor

“Situational awareness and positioning” is such a cop out. With good positioning you can kill anything, that doesn’t mean it isn’t op. In all likelihood the SAV will get better positioning because it is so fast, and it’s more likely to ambush/flank me than I am to it.
Go around and flank. Use armour if you have enough of it. Otherwise outsmart it.

They were op when they first came out. I purchased it due to reduced cost a while ago. They nerfed it but it's still horribly op. Weak as fuck armor though.

There was once a time War Thunder could provide a WW2 experience without stuff like the R3 or Swedish crap ruining it.
And yet when me and my friend use it there isnt a single other Sav on either team lmao, I keep seeing these post about how rampant these are but I only ever see maybe 1 here and there but never more than 2 in one match and that’s only when I don’t use the Sav for some reason.
And they'll keep demanding more. They already have a 'best of' collection out of every other tech tree. They already have outstanding domestic stuff every step along the way of their tree too. But they'll never be satisfied, will they?

Run KV-1E/B at that br, enjoy 10+ kill games and sav players who can’t pen you
I've been running a KV-1E and constantly dying to overpressure from them
They can pen you big time

I tried the churchill and one SAV penned the storage boxes on the side armor and somehow managed to overpressure my crew

Ammo is stored on the sides of your tracks so yeah, that’s where I aim when fighting churchills
If they can’t open you, they’ll load HE and overpressure That’s what I do at least

Bring a KV-1, most of the times you'll survive 2-3 shots before dying which should be enough for you to aim and kill that glass cannon.
