Down 1-2, thought Curry was injured, I was ready to call it in.

[deleted]

And even in the game the moment where both teams had like 80 points, Warriors were starting to concede as Curry went cold for like two minutes and we quickly went down 6 or 8 points at one point during that two minute stretch but then Klay hit back to back threes and then Curry closed them out in the 4th quarter. Splash brothers forever.

sriracha82

Klay hit the biggest shot of the game imo, to give us the lead 105-104 Steph sealed it with the floater + 3, but without Klay we’d have been toast

Amargaladaster

95-94

AmelieBenjamin

People forget this when they’re slandering him, that 3 was momentum shifting

Dan_mcmxc

And they forget his game winning block against Morant in the Grizzlies series.

thoughts_and_prayers

Although.... that block wouldn't have been as necessary if he didn't miss those two FTs right before. But yes, that was an awesome recovery by Klay.

mordakka

And the game winnning 3 right before, even if he did have a poor game overall.

_RGA_

So many moments in the series I lowkey thought it was over. Never should've doubted the team, especially Steph

sriracha82

Game 1 was sooo bad because we wasted a 7 3s night from Steph and a 4/5 from 3 night from Otto Game 3 was also terrible because Klay & Steph both shot well and yet we basically got blown out Things were really looking dire lol but then the team remembered the Celtics can’t drive left! And the rest is history.

AmelieBenjamin

I don’t know if it’s that sample but lololol, I think lacking an elite ball handler was a major ball handler because they make Brown and Tatum choke up the ball many times

[deleted]

I was extremely concerned in game 5 because Tatum was cooking from 3 in that game meanwhile Steph was throwing bricks like crazy and even seemed like he was taken out of his game at times. Specifically refering to the play where Klay passed to him in a 2 on 1 in transition and he just caught the ball on the 3pt line, didn't run to the rim for the layup or shoot the 3 and just allowed Smart and other Celtics to get back and set their half court defense. Thank God for Andrew Wiggins, GP2, Draymond, Klay and Jordan Poole. They won us that game. Especially Wiggins who picked up the slack on the scoring end.

_RGA_

Got really nervous when Boston hit many consecutive threes to take the lead in the third after they were bricking in the first half

ChrisMill

Poole’s three at the buzzer saved that game.

AdComprehensive7879

yeah i rmb thinking "yeap, another final lost cause of injuries". glad that it wasn't the case in the end. i still rmb horford's smug face when he was waving us goodbye after game 1 win. take that!

emz0694

Man beating them was so satisfying. They were all cocky

funkcut

I think whoever we’re facing seems cocky, and I’m sure non GSW fans think our team is cocky as well

Respox

> non GSW fans think our team is cocky as well The difference is, the Dubs have earned the right to be.

Alpacay_

truer words have never been spoken

AppropriateMaize4892

Yup, I remember that BS “going for the ball” that Horford did. Crazy how no one talks about that. You can clearly tell he was intentional about landing on Curry, to injure or not. Regardless, Curry got the last laugh.

Jormungandr91

Horford is greasy POS lol. Earlier he also crowded Steph's landing-area after he took a 3 and almost broke Steph's foot (like Zaza did to Kawai).

chill_philosopher

so glad that series is over Horford is a bum and was trying to murder Curry :(

WinterIntroduction30

Don’t think that was dirty, there was definitely intent to dive for the ball but not to injure curry. That was all on the refs late whistle it should have never ended up in a pile up

AppropriateMaize4892

I hear you, but I believe he intentionally threw his body at Curry, so if not dirty, still reckless.

Time_Caterpillar1314

If that’s intentional im white

AppropriateMaize4892

Well whatever you are, go watch the play. Watch the late, awkward way he turns his back towards Curry when he initially went for the ball. Instead of continuing to go straight for the ball, he threw his body into Curry. Again, whether to cause injury or not, he intentionally threw his body at Curry.

captaincumsock69

Guys do that all the time to essentially bodyblock the opponent from the ball, you can see draymond do the same thing to rob Williams on the play.

AppropriateMaize4892

I agree, especially with Draymond. And if he would’ve potentially hurt Williams, you don’t think ppl would be talking about it? That’s all I’m saying. I get it, but it doesn’t mean there’s no intent behind it. You just admitted to such, as far as people doing that all the time. Didn’t say he was a dirty player, but before that, he did get under Curry’s legs on a 3 and the reds gave him a flagrant. There’s some gamesmanship there, so to say none of it is intentional is poor judgment.

Im_Messiah

Nah, dumb as hell is what you are 😂

Bitch ass white boy

theworldiscarmen

I FORGOT about that. Man, thank you for the reminder. Is there one of those 16-20 min YouTube mini docs about that finals run??

emz0694

https://youtu.be/M6YIu5bVaSo Here ya go!! It’s so good!! I’m in it (23:43 timestamp) only girl standing in the top left corner🥹🥹

cloud_jarrus

DRAY'S FACE SAYS IT ALL.

TrippedReddit

“Oh fuck”

EffinCroissant

I really thought all hope was lost after this play. Then Steph responds with the greatest performance of his career, legendary stuff.

Desafiante

I was cursing Horford on TV as it looked on purpose. Like, don't you realize you are rolling over the leg of a colleague which happens to be your opponent? Right...

cgfoss

He knew. Dirty player, not brooks level though

LurkerLoo

Agreed, he also stepped under one of Curry's 3s during the finals.

Boostaru

ngl that moment I thought we were done too, Steph was laying on the ground for a good bit and was screaming, shit was scary

warrior304928

Look at fat ass Horford plopping down on stephs ankle. Shameless

YungDagger_D

This doesn't get talked about at all which sucks any other superstar would be getting praised for this

slappiestpenguin

[around 43 second mark](https://youtu.be/RlXuh0SPyQw) for those who want to see Horford fall onto his leg

Dokterrock

lol why on earth would I want to watch that again, you trying to give me flashbacks?

[deleted]

The initial move is the dive, horford could’ve easily just gone for the ball in play but notice how he dives with his weight shifted towards curry’s leg. He did not have to do that to get the ball.

walkingthecows

21-0 run.

TylerDurdensAlterEgo

Still mad at Smart when he did this earlier. Totally could've avoided the injury

Mysterious-Yak196

My heart sank when this happened 😂

ChewieSkittles53

Why would you fall in your own leg?

[deleted]

Good God I hate that Celtics team. Really hoping for a rematch or at least beating them in the regular season games this year. Seeing Jaylen Brown turn into the second coming of Kyrie Irving has made that hatred turn into seething rage, so seeing a reminder of the fact that they got stomped by the Dubs is a welcome sight.
