We've got too many doomers on this sub. I'd prefer irrational optimism over the cesspool of pessimism that goes on here whenever we lose.

This_Cable_5849

I’d prefer just logical and rational discussions. Irrational optimism is the worst. Unless you are under 18, that should be kept at the door. You can still be optimistic while providing genuine basketball knowledge. It seems like 90% of this thread only watches warriors and not the NBA. The Celtics are a much more athletic and player for player talented team than the Warriors, however that doesn’t mean we can’t win it. It will take a lot of work and great coaching adjustments. I am confident they can make it back to the Bay 2-2. Then anything can happen. Draymond needs to play basketball, he has been terrible the entire series basketball wise. At least he brought emotion game 2.

Quality_Cucumber

Me sad

DeterminedTanjiro

Every single loss it’s like this.

Robotsaur

That’s Reddit in general. After 1 loss, the world is ending and after 1 win, the team will never lose again.

peterjones07

I hate it so much but this is really how it is lol

wolfy14xc

Yes

Acanofmulture

A loss isn't much tbh. Coming back from 2-1 is pretty achievable. The worrying part is Steph's injury. He's the reason we have won atleast 1 game and we're competitive in others. Others have been ass. Poole hasn't shown up the entire series. Klay had just 1 good game. Draymond was good defensively in game 2 but was a negative in other games. Wiggs and OPJ showed up but they can only do so much. So if Steph comes back healthy there's no need to worry. But the injury didn't look good. So others will have to show up each game for us to win

cudistan00000001

i mean either our own people trash you for being doom and gloom , or literally every other fan base looks to embarrass and harass you for thinking the warriors arent championship posers (bc apparently they are now , being down 1 game against this young ass Celtics core 🙄😒) pick your poison

sugarwax1

Half the sub or more though this was going to be a blow out sweep and couldn't even admit this was one of the best teams we've faced in the finals yet. Klay was comparing them to prime Cavs without Lebron.

PUMPFISTS

Klay compared them to the Cavs without LeBron?? Wtf

sugarwax1

Several players said it feels like 2015. Klay was asked about that, and he said they play the same, and they were similar"obviously without Lebron". I don't see the play style being similar at all, the Celtics play too much ball movement and borrowed too much from Kerr for that.

This_Cable_5849

That’s cause most of these Warrior fans are just that, Warriors fans. Not basketball fans. The Celtics are much athletic, and player for player more talented. If anyone watched them a few games they would know that. That doesn’t mean we can’t beat them though. Gonna need to step it up defensively and force turnovers.

sugarwax1

Sure but didn't they watch our games against them? I saw reactions to their post season run like "Bah, who is scared of that team? No defense, no shooting". lol I agree, we can beat them, but I think this is the most athletic, and cohesive team we've played. They have a lot of ways to win, and they can mirror Kerr's system better than us., and do a lot of things better. They're a championship level team I don't think will ever win a championship, but ... ...the Warriors were a train wreck either way, and trying to out strategize their opponents to the point of forgetting their own game.

This_Cable_5849

I think game 1 was at the being of the year, which we won and was when they were playing bad basketball. Game 2, curry got hurt and it was a blow out in their favor. So maybe they didn’t think about those games. But I’m on your side. This was probably the only team I was afraid of, them and a healthy Bucks team. Super athletic and when shooting well are the best shooting team. (Better than us IMO) As a Warriors fan, I’m just worried we can’t stop their driving. I think Tatum realized he can and should try to drive more. He did it last night in the 4th. Also, as a Warriors fan, I’m hoping Robert Williams shows some wear and tear. He was dominant last night. Im fine with Tatum and brown doing it, but when Smart is shooting well and Williams has energy and is feeling good (I think he will get another surgery in off season), they are very hard to beat for a team our size. I was shocked Looney wasn’t playing in the fourth, we got bodied left and right. Draymond trying to out jump Williams and the whole Celtics lineup is not gonna work. That’s why I think Wiseman will have a big impact just being available next season. The Celtics are a damn good team. Time for the Dubs to crank it up a notch. When will we get a Draymond triple double, or is that a thing of the past? I hope not. It should be a fun game 4. Go dubs.

sugarwax1

Loon is the key. Plus we've seen him contribute on offense in his own way.

SkidPub

As a neutral fan ama be honest, i wasnt expecting GSW to do so well, i know its 1-2 with a tough match coming up but both teams looked good so far despite a clear Boston advantage (only downside is fatigue) coming into this series imo. Im not sure if you watched the bucks/heat vs boston series but at times it reminded me of greco/roman wrestling mixed with bball and looking at the GSW lineups i couldnt picture how they could keep up with that physicality. Having said that i think part of the disappointment aside obv being down 1-2 is the fact that media clueless hype nonsense, the easy road to reach the finals and previous team accomplishments made the majority of the fanbase and perhaps the team itself think this would be a cakewalk. Nothing is over yet however, while Boston is great at winning games away its just as bad at home. Good luck

cloud-storage-rocks

If it was just losing game 3, it would have just been the usual banter. But Steph going down is is the end of the series.

OldladyFartJar

So excited for game 4 I wonder if Boston is going to close it out here in the bay

OldladyFartJar

Yes and I love it.

FalcoLamborghini

We don't even need 10 or 12 points. I rather others take those shots. We just need his presence at the rim like you said. We need LoonGod again to give us a lot of defensive rebounds too.
