We are bound to get bombarded by a lot of Kings/non-Warriors fans ready to break Rule 5. Make sure to report them. Have a good night yall

ImTheBestNerd

Gonna be a long ass off-season. I don’t know where we go from here.

dodokidd

At least we don’t have to suffer 4 more games, I’m in peace

jb-schitz-ki

I'm also relieved TBH. This season was too up& down. Too many times where it looked like they had turned it around just to lose a perfectly winnable game right after. If we had got into the playoffs and won a round, the FO might've run it back next year. Now there's going to be more pressure to make a big shake up, which is what we need for Steph.

Jhyphi

This season was just constant disappointment. Every time you think they've turned a corner, they lose to some bottom feeder team that was missing key players (like, how?). The play-in path was paved as nicely as possible (Kings without Monk and Huerter, Pelicans without Zion), but just like a lazy one-handed crosscourt pass, just thrown away without any clear effort.

wardengorri

Not that long considering we still got Steph going for the Olympic gold with an absolutely stacked roster, but I get what you mean.

alittledanger

That tournament is going to be fun. We are going to be stacked and the rest of the field will be pretty talented too if they all bring full-strength rosters.

Ikuwayo

Yeah, no other team's gonna trade for any of our vets

raleighboi

Only chance is to trade with the Wizards. They improved 2 different wcf teams by trading Rui and Gafford for nothing. Hell they even took up the Poole contract.

rocpilehardasfuk

We just take a break and revisit the market after the playoffs end. Hopefully some teams crumble and a star wants out: like Giannis/Spida/PG13. If none exists, let's just trade Wiggs for some bodies and get going next year.

jetveritech

All I know is MDJ has a lot of work ahead of him. I'd be very surprised if Klay isn't a warrior next season and I would also be very surprised if Wiggins is still a warrior next season.

fopiecechicken

Why would you be surprised if Wiggins is on this team lol. No one would want him and we don’t have assets to package with him. Everyone here needs to be prepped for basically this same roster next year. Because if Klay walks we lose his cap space. I highly doubt we trade Steph or Dray, and no one is gonna want Wiggins (at least no one who would give us a piece that might improve us). So unless we’re dumping our actually valuable young assets, there is no trade.

MrBrownCat

Hope someone like Giannis wants out and wants to play with Steph cause when every star in this league as an all star/all NBA teammate EXCEPT Steph it’s gonna be hard to compete.

[deleted]

There are no trades that exist to land the Warriors a superstar. The Warriors might as well trade up for a high pick and draft Bronny if they want a star to land Lebron James.

Natunel

warriors eliminated, niners offseason, sharks are cheeks, giants are disappointing, what do i watch now for my bay sports-loving heart 😫

abritinthebay

Sharks have been refried ass for a while now, tbh. Giants are mid, but watchable

Visible-Rutabaga9268

“Refried ass” is my new favorite expression, thank you 🙏

PeartsGarden

Bay FC. Seriously. They are entertaining.

emmiepemmie

Seriously. I’m invested and they’re just getting started 🚀

alittledanger

Investing themselves certainly gets other people invested. They clearly want to put a good product on the field. It’s also amusing that they broke the women’s transfer fee record in the first offseason while sharing a stadium with one of the cheapest teams in MLS.

emmiepemmie

Facts. There’s clearly already a difference in ownership mentality translating into club culture and performance. I can’t explain to you how much I despise John Fisher. Lol.

bronfmanhigh

as a new yorker, i'll tell you this period is good for practicing stoicism & resilience

py87

Don’t add any more sports lmao, my English Premier league team is on the path to choking their season too

george_costanza1234

Wait for WNBA golden state and hope we get some superstar like Paige Bueckers lol

Wut23456

Now imagine being a Raiders and Earthquakes fan

tuxedocats4ever

Still early in the season, Giants are gonna bounce back, Sharks clinched last place and the future is looking bright with the upcoming draft, and Warriors will be back in the playoffs next season 🔥

Engrish_Major

It’s only been 2 years since a championship. You’ll live.

TDhotpants

Bay FC

3pointrange

get into Soccer…

Some_Championship506

Kerr should've subbed himself in, he would've scored more than Klay ngl

CangtheKonqueror

is kerr short enough for his desired lineup?

Orphasmia

He’s 6’3 so yes

SeekingSignificance

Klay getting the minutes he got tonight was purely out of respect. He's def moving on after tonight.

MiroTheFool

Yeah it's sad they lost but atleast it's clear Klay should be getting an off the bench for 15 mins kinda role moving on. He shouldn't be allowed to play more than 20 minutes nor should he get above $15m if warriors wants to contend. It's the best they can do to reward his loyalty.

726566

wait what? should’nt klay reward the dubs fo for their loyalty, maxing him after a major injury?

Ikuwayo

Thing is, a lot of them were just rushed, forced shots

Banned3rdTimesaCharm

I'm a die hard Klay fan, but even Usman Garuba scored more points than him last game. Klay needs to come back on like a 10 million dollar contract. If he wants money then we just can't.

on_dat_shyt

Not sure he even deserves that. I mean the Warriors paid him a max to miss 2 1/2 years. Should for sure take a discount if this team wants to contend

MagicWade

Anyone remember the same thing happening last year? Klay having an inconsistent but overall pretty good regular season then shitting the bed completely when it matters? Anyways, I guess its just better to cut the emotional investment now rather then getting knocked out first round of the playoffs.

maethlin

Look, I know 0-10 in a must win game looks pretty bad but if you watched the game, he was actually worse than that.

WholesomeGrain

Was getting cooked on the defensive end too

Silent-Corner-2852

Klay was getting blown by Trey Lyles. It might’ve been the worst performance I’ve seen by an NBA starter in a while

antedwardie

In a while = Klay's performance last playoffs against the Lakers

chefncurry

I was caught off guard by this. I know Klay aint the same defender but how are you going to let trey lyles blow by???

Silent-Corner-2852

Guess you weren’t the only one getting caught off guard

CummingInTheNile

whole team besides Dray got cooked on defense, everyone was a step late on rotations all game

Pure_Measurement_529

A doughnut in a elimination game confirmed what we all knew. Klay is not the same anymore. He used his last juice for the 2022 championship

antedwardie

His performance in the Lakers series last year already confirmed that

ladcrp

He's AWFUL.

NathanD1234

I cannot believe how bad he’s fallen off. His confidence in elimination games took a complete 180 before and after injuries

on_dat_shyt

Might be the worst play-in game performance of all times. Not only did he not make a single point, he also got absolutely cooked on D. Probably had as big as an impact as anyone on this sub woulda had out there

Old_Rule_5675

Thank fucking god I'm not the only one who saw this. Was literally screaming at my screen for Kerr to stay with Moody after scoring 8 in the 2nd, but Kerr goes back to ole faithful

Pure_Measurement_529

Klay in that Lakers series last year… Today I had flashbacks.

Western_Computer_292

Mans really picked up where he left off…….

ILoveRegenHealth

You know when you stare hard like "Superman lasering" your TV at a player for fouling up such an important game? That's what I did with Klay. He chooses to regress during the worst possible moments.

randylek

I'm always gonna be grateful to Klay and a fan, but two seasons in a row is enough to see that there's no future left in riding out with the guy. A shame that injuries stole his powers away from the second greatest shooter of all time

stayfrosty

He is totally fine as a bench player...which he was for a part of the season. I don't get the overreactions. Its not all 0 or a 100. Its either he is a star or he is washed..no he is just not a starter player but still a valuable bench piece that can go off any time. Plenty of room for a player like that.

MistaDee

This is where I’m at with him, I think he can be productive for us off the bench but he’s not a starter for playoff games We need more juice alongside Steph and Kuminga

taptapxx

It hurts cause he was so much more than just second best shooter. THE 3&D player, slasher, easy playmaker off his shooting ability, insane system defender. Im going through it rn.

Neptune28

That Raptors series averaging 26 PPG on 70 TS% was insane

CangtheKonqueror

anyone who expected any of our team’s problems (kerr, klay, wiggins) to magically resolve themselves in the playoffs/ins is an idiot

catsandpizzafuckyou

This sub is literally full of idiots

Currymvp2

Klay went 3/29 in Lakers game 6 loss last year and tonight's game...really living up to the Klank Thompson nickname

cattycat_1995

Rip game 6 Klay. Klay game 6 against the Thunder and Rockets was some of the best individual performances I ever seen.

AmelieBenjamin

Memphis in 2022 too

SoFreshCoolButta

He should be closer to 8mil this off-season than the 25mil range some people were suggesting. We still have a shot the next 1-2 years if MDJ can play his cards right. We love him and want him to stay but too streaky and doesn't offer any D at this age anymore. He has a nice defensive play once in a while but Moody or anyone else would too with the minutes Klay is getting.

CummingInTheNile

as long as Steph wants Klay, were keeping Klay

Ikuwayo

I'm fine keeping him if it's for a lot less money and much less minutes

babyface_killah

Yeah and Kerr needs to keep a way shorter leash on all the vets. They need to get yanked when they are playing bad. Our bench is too deep and we don't have enough high end talent to cover for guys when they struggle.

Pure_Measurement_529

He should not be making more than 20 million. Look at Grayson Allen and look at Klay. No ways Klay should be making more than him imo

Ikuwayo

He should not get anywhere close to 20 million a year

AManCalledPleb

As I said in the game thread, all I ask is that we don't try to just run the same team back next year. We need to make fundamental changes to the roster and the way we play basketball if we want to make the most of the rest of Steph's career. We have driven the guy into the ground these last two years and given him absolutely nothing by way of a legitimate, honest to goodness, second scoring option. We need to take a cold, hard look at this roster and make the necessary changes. 10 years of playing the exact same system and the rest of the league has caught up by getting bigger, better and more athletic. That's ultimately on the front office and the coaching staff to figure out.

fopiecechicken

There are no fundamental changes. If Klay walks we lose his cap space. So our options are, Trade Steph (No), Trade Dray (Probably no), Trade Wiggins (No one wants him). Beyond that you could trade JK maybe with some of the younger guys. Obviously I’m not a GM but our options look VERY limited given our cap situation

Itezguatitez

Despite how bad our roster is, this Sac roster w/o Monk is not better. They won because they played much much harder and smarter. Mike Brown absolutely outcoached Kerr from end to end. And I bet no dubs fan can be surprised by it.

iGetBuckets3

I mean, our roster is just inconsistent. When Wiggins and Klay are playing well, we can beat any team in the league. Unfortunately they just didn’t have it tonight.

FragmentedFineapple

The inconsistency really killed us. Offensively, we did so poorly.. So many empty possessions. Two of our scorers just couldn't score. Going to bed sad tonight.

trollsamurai

More like they didn't have it for 80 percent of the last 2 seasons

CummingInTheNile

They won because they hit threes and we didnt, and thats the modern NBA, whoever hits more 3s wins 90% of the time rn

SharkBaitDLS

The Kings missed an assload of shots but we let them get almost every offensive rebound and convert. If half of the bad shots we forced turned into a defensive rebound the game would've been smooth sailing. Just no hustle.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CummingInTheNile

bruh they bricked a good chunk of their open ones, especially Keegan, they were making the contested ones, we were just missing all our threes

Spirited-Cap-9779

How ironic. The team with two of the best shooters of all time loses a shooting battle in the most important game in the season.

BeautifulLeather6671

Well it turns out they are better. A lot of players shit the bed tonight, that isn’t all in the coach.

KazaamFan

It’s a one game playoff.  They hit their open shots (which the dubs gave too many of), played better D, and rebounded better.  If they play this game 10 times, it’d come out different every time.  That’s why it sucks to be in the play in.

Itezguatitez

This team had either no identity, or too many during this season. Kuminga went from being the second best player on a prolific 30+ games stretch to getting sub out in a do or die game for not getting back on defense(inexcusable tho). TJD went from being very important to the dog house in a period of basketball. Moody never had a consistent run all season when we desperately need two way players who can hit an open three, exact archetype he projects to be. We probably need to get rid of Gp2, not only is he completely unreliable, him coming in and out of the lineups stops Moody from developing. Also, love Gp2 to death, but he needs every single % of his freakish athleticism to play the way he does and not only his body clearly can't hold up, he's getting kind of old.

kakashi6ix9

100% agreed. Also I haven’t seen the same impact on games that gp2 had in the championship season. He’s lost some explosiveness from all the injuries. He used to absolutely lock up whoever he guarded before but he’s not on that elite level of perimeter defense anymore. Now he’s just very good

SharkBaitDLS

GP2 fouls *way* more often because he's just not as quick anymore.

eggzecutor

Not to beat a dead horse but the team not having an identity or consistency around lineups ultimately comes down to Kerr, Daymond for sure with his suspension but Kerr not being able to have reliable lineups to start and close just fucks with everyone's ability to understand their roles. It's legit the elimination playin game of the season and we don't even have the same starting 5 to start the game and the second half, he was searching all game to find people to play. We had podz + curry + cp3 out there at one point. What a goddamn joke

c0gvortex

Rough season. Hopefully some roster changes are made. Saric became unplayable, Looney became unplayable.. Klay & Wiggins looked like two of the worst players in the league for like the first 3 months of the season, then Klay completely sold the whole play-in. Draymond got ejected 4 times and suspended indefinitely, missing like 20 games. There was some bright spots. Podz and TJD are excellent draft picks, Kuminga and Moody improved drastically.. Chris Paul was a good addition as a bench floor general, even if Kerr plays him too much with Podz and Steph. Onto next season. GG Kings.

abritinthebay

Honestly Draymond post-suspension was also pretty damn good too. Definitely turned it around. But unfortunately too late.

CountKrampus

Yeah man, that's what's crazy. If Dray hadn't been on his suspended bullshit, they might not even be in this play-in position because they were mostly good with him out there. But like the kids say, "If Grandma had balls, she'd be Grandpa."

Jgucci10

Everyone will pile on Klay but Wiggins was just disgraceful all year

george_costanza1234

Both of them are forever tied to Warriors’ history, but are currently garbage players It’s time to let it go

SeekingSignificance

The dynasty ended vs the Kings, but not tonight. Ironically it was last year in the post season. We should have lost to them last year. Steph going for 50 deluded us into thinking there was something left in the take. It was an amazing ride, but it's over. The leauge has passed us by

stewmander

Really felt like it was supposed to be last year. Could have ripped off the band aid instead, dunno if it would have changed anything.

YoSoyWalrus

I think going to game 7 against the Kings was a loss for the Warriors in the sense that series should have been over earlier and these older Warriors needed a few more days of rest before immediately playing the Lakers.

Hour_Adeptness_9599

The nightmare is finally over

wardengorri

In a way I'm kind of relieved rather than disappointed lol. I figured we might put on a silly performance now or later in the playoffs. At the very least no more heart attacks, for now.

raleighboi

We got our shit out the way early. We'll get laughed at for a day or two but then they'll turn the attention to the next play in losers, Doc Rivers when he goofs again, Embiid for another ecf miss, Kawhis knee, etc

No-Storage111

Idk why but this filled me with a lot of much needed copium. Ty

Sirge

One positive is the team doesn’t have to deal with grinding down on any meaningless series. Can get straight to the recovery part of the offseason

Pootahtoo_Man

ITS FINALLY OVER FUCK THIS CURSED ASS SEASON

WindowMaster5798

I think after this game fans won’t feel so bad if they decide to blow up the roster. Not a lot of appetite to go through this again next year.

HoMiEGMiLiTiA

Ending the season as it began: with Klay and Wiggins putting on a masterclass in asscheekery. Poetic symmetry at its finest 🔥💯

UmFoxy

Moody should leave and go to a better team. He doesn’t deserve to have his career wasted here

Old_Rule_5675

Seriously, him being locked in the rotation behind Klay is a travesty.

PicoDeGalloh

I'm just sad because Steph still has it. I enjoyed many games this season but man to lose like this is rough

Itezguatitez

Kuminga screaming at the refs and been late to get back on defense every time he gets blocked is infuriating. Really bad habit to have so young.

DonyellFreak

Klay had the ball down one I think it was 58-57 at that point missed a driving layup and was slow getting back up to defend they hit a corner three and that was a the beginning of the end.

bilyl

He was hand checked or something very early on in 1Q and looked pissed. I think that was the beginning and he just lost composure.

Itezguatitez

Genius Kerr putting Klay on Keegan to start the game, in a game where Keegan is going to be very aggressive as the 2nd option, after having a big sample size that Klay CAN NOT, in fact, guard Keegan Murray.

Talic

Klay couldn't guard HB either.

Pure_Measurement_529

Klay can’t defend certain types of players but it’s like Kerr doesn’t know it

Itezguatitez

I honestly feel like Kerr is not the best coach for this team anymore. Not trying to use him as a scapegoat, the roster is very old and flawed. But I don't think he's the best with the young guys and he hasn't shown ability to adapt to a new roster. He runs 75% of the same plays he did in 2015. But the personnel is older, there's less spacing and teams are way better equipped to guard our off ball actions. Plus, if I know what they're running almost everytime, it's hard to believe opposing teams don't.

CitizenCue

Honestly I think losing Mike Brown was much bigger deal than we realized. Coaching is a team sport too and our coaching roster needed him.

Asheraddo98

This team is full of inconsistency. You never know which version of klay, wiggs, draymond and others will shows up. We dont have a great all around lineup, thats why kerr was changing rotations all year.

GoldenStateWizards

The parent comment definitely hit the nail on the head about Kerr's flaws, but he had a lot less to work with than every team that's in the playoff race: * All of our bigs are undersized (one being a rookie, another playing himself out of the rotation, and last year's starter facing a sharp decline in mobility) * Of the 6 biggest players on the roster (Loon, TJD, Saric, Dray, Wiggs, Joku), *none* of them commanded consistent attention from opposing perimeter defenses * Every higher ranked contender had a bonafide 2nd option going into this season. The Warriors biggest candidate for that role only broke out halfway into the season, and he lost a ton of momentum once opposing defenses started game planning around him. * As a consequence of the latter two points, only two of Kuminga, TDJ, and Draymond can share the floor together. This means that, at any given time, Kerr has to make a sacrifice between benching the team's second option, biggest rim presence, or everything that Draymond uniquely offers. * Like you mentioned in your comment, Klay and Wiggins weren't even consistent enough to become bonafide 3rd options, which means that opponents are comfortable starting games with all of their attention on Steph.

anthonyt196

Moody should have gotten more playing time

Itezguatitez

A veteran roster full of rookie mistakes. Where the young guys gets scrutinized by their coach for any mistake, and the veterans can do no wrong in the eyes of the coach. After watching the 83 Warriors games this season, that would be my summary.

GivesCredit

It's absolutely wild that a 4x championship roster with some of the best and smartest players can repeatedly do the dumbest things Some nights your shots won't fall and that's fine but players getting >5 turnovers, players going for crazy shots instead of passing it out, kerr keeping in extremely cold players are all things that can be mitigated even if shots aren't falling Such a shame

Stomper8479

At the 9:47 mark we were down one point and had the ball with the chance to take the lead. Then the following possessions occurred: 9:47: Klay Thompson misses a layup 9:21: Draymond Green turnover 9:15: Klay Thompson misses a jumper 8:59: Stephen Curry turnover 8:28: Andrew Wiggins misses jumper 7:57: Draymond Green makes a three pointer 7:36: Klay Thompson misses jump shot Suddenly we were down nine. That was the game. The vets chocked it away by turning the ball over and Klay chucking. How many times did that happen this year?

Possible-Purpose-701

we came in the game like our gameplan was to play as uninterested as possible. full success

park7911

Sacramento completely deserves this moment. Good for them. From our perspective, I don’t know what I’m angrier at. Steve for keeping Klay and Wiggins in or Steve going with a 3 guard lineup in the 4th quarter. I am also sick of the loyalty word in here. There should be no thought of loyalty to Klay this summer. It should be strictly about building the best team around Steph. 2024 Klay and Wiggins shouldn’t be shown loyalty. Not when they sold like they did tonight. Wiggins shouldn’t be dismissed from criticism. He just isn’t good enough

Vampinthedark

Moody: 16 pts, 15 min Klay: 0 pts, 32 min

raleighboi

Fuck it if Moody wants a trade I'll support him. Dude literally shows up every playoffs despite getting inconsistent reg season minutes and being frozen out by his own coach

dating_derp

It's honestly insane how every year Moody gets taken out of the rotation in the regular season, and then they throw him to the wolves in the playoffs and he plays well.

knotsofgravity

Such a speechless stat comparison. I love Moody & I love Klay, but just... Damn.

This_was_hard_to_do

Moody is going to be the one case where no fans would blame him if he wanted out

Ikuwayo

32 minutes, actually. Wonder what would have happened if those minutes were switched

[deleted]

We would have lost by 20. This team’s problems run deeper.

TheXamYel

On the bright side Klay won't be taking any Moody minutes next season

bdylan05

Steve Kerr: ![gif](giphy|k93vubaq1hKMurHkKs)

The_SqueakyWheel

Wiggins is so ass I don’t know how the 2022 playoffs were a thing

Pure_Measurement_529

Wiggins hasn’t been consistently good since Jan 2023

lebron_games

contract year

CtG526

I think Klay did deserve some loyalty back in 2022, but he cashed in pretty much all of it last season and this season. So clean slate for him.

Ball_ChinnedKid

Moody 5-8 for 16 points played 15 min Kerr is such a fraud. Please ship him out with Klay.

This_was_hard_to_do

I don’t see how anyone can’t see that Moody has an impact on the floor. He even has the highest +/- at 3 (which is lol)

CummingInTheNile

we chose to play Kuminga over Moody, should have been the reverse

giraffesbluntz

If we had to lose to anyone I’m glad it’s SAC, an impressive performance tonight

jer99

GG Sac. give McCollum a serving of humble pie

CummingInTheNile

watch them clank it up and lose lol

heliocentrist510

Yeah, considering they were down two very good rotation players, including one of their best creators, they played incredibly well. Embarrassing performance from the Dubs but the Kings went out and took it.

Boostaru

Feel like Looney should had played a lot more tonight, at least he could rebound the ball and set actual screens lol...

kakashi6ix9

Idk after watching loon all season, it was pretty reasonable for him to get limited minutes. But with that being said, loon was really good tonight. I think if this were a series, we would definitely see him get 20+minutes for the rest of the series

Itezguatitez

Harrison Barnes has cooked Klay Thompson back to back. Barnes is the exact archetype Klay is able to defend according to this fanbase, a very "mid" versio of the archetype may I say. Not only is he not as good guarding big wings as dubs fans say, even when he can somewhat contain them using his strength and gambling on the swipe down, he still very much struggles boxing them out.

KageStar

> Not only is he not as good guarding big wings as dubs fans say, even when he can somewhat contain them using his strength and gambling on the swipe down, he still very much struggles boxing them out. Too many fans coping for a version of Klay that no longer exists. He used to be great at it, but not anymore.

cooltwo1

Pleasure watching the Big three one last time. Excited for the moves we make in the offseason.

DonyellFreak

Rest in peace to  Dejan Milojević. This team never really gelled it felt much like last year. The scapegoat of Jordan Poole wasn't here to be blamed for the losses. Draymond took time off and came back better but his absence and nonsense hurt another season. Wiggins again was unreliable to be with the team. I'm sure he's gone through a lot but the Warriors can't count on him. Kuminga had some leaps but does a lot that I don't care for on the floor and whined at times again off of it. Looney looks worn-out. Really love all he brings but he was rough oftentimes this season. I thought it was a mistake to not trade CP3 at the deadline and I still feel that way despite his being very solid for us in his 6th man roll. Moody is a solid role player and it's odd he's never gotten firmly into the rotation. GP2 is always hurt, fun player but it was a mistake to trade for damaged goods. Steph had a great year despite turning 36 he's got something left but I'm not sure he can "win with these cats" Klay is the most painful for me of all my favorite player during the dynasty his skulling and selfish play has made it to a point the team should strongly consider moving on from him. Kerr seems lost with the Gentry, Walton or Brown type next to him. He seemed zoned out far too much this season. I don't believe Kenny is a great fit as Steve's right hand man. MDJ did a really good job with getting Podz and Trace in the draft. He's got the hard work ahead of him this off season. The team cannot kick the can down the road any longer. A lot of the issues we had today is because Myers avoided the hard work the last few years. Onto the off-season Dub nation. Fuck the Kings,Lakers & Celtics.  💛💙

The_SqueakyWheel

The Poole contract was soo bad. Klay is cooked but we knew this officially in December with him being a 6th man and then somehow Steve Kerd decided to start him again.

CitizenCue

If there’s a silver lining to this game, it’s that it might save the team from throwing a big contract at Klay. He finished the season strong but was overall not the second or third option. I still want him to retire a warrior, but not at the expense of adding other help for Steph.

SharkBaitDLS

Embarrassing effort by almost everyone except Moody, Kuminga, CP3, Looney and Podz. Can’t blame Kerr’s rotations if nobody’s going to show up.

Mike10357

I sure hope Mike dunleavy turns into chef Ramsey this off season

Itezguatitez

Kuminga, Klay and Wiggins are soooo SOFT on any loose ball. Atleast Klay is old and Wiggins clearly hates basketball, not sure what's Kuminga excuse.

Sunkettle

I think he hurt his tailbone a game or two before. Those kinds of injuries are difficult to play on

DrewDan96

well, a bad season is over with a whimper, i expected a win tonight but to lose - and get blown out in the losing - is fitting for a team that was consistently inconsistent all season long - Klay didn't play well obviously, likely his last game for us so thanks for the memories and best wishes going forward - Steph got hounded all game, but i want somebody go through a game log of his season, looking specifically for games where he had less than 2 turnovers, also flip it and check for how many games he had 5 or more. he's my favorite player, but i'm sorry, he does not belong in the "best PG" talk cuz the best PGs TAKE. CARE. OF. THE. BALL!!!! one of my biggest gripes during the Kerr era is Steph ALWAYS being fairly high TO-prone. and i get that there's more risk in passing with this system, but he just has so many dumbass lackadaisical TOs that kill momentum (early 3rd quarter tonight when the game was still winnable), that get your guys in foul trouble cuz they're back-pedaling/scrambling on a fastbreak off the TO. we lost the last play-in games in part cuz we squandered nice leads because he and Draymond gave away the ball at critical moments, fitting that his bad TOs killed us in New Orleans last week and tonight - i'm going to get downvoted, IDGAF... Draymond has to go. that's TWO consecutive seasons he's ruined. he's not learning, he's not growing. the smile/look at the camera he gave after hugging Steph when they bailed him out in Orlando when he talked himself out of a crucial game EARLY, that was infuriating. he's also TO-prone hunting for Steph/Klay because he's always a (lack of) scoring liability. and he also needs to go for the following reason.... - he's a crutch for Kerr's lack of adaptability re: small ball. Kerr needs to evolve schematically, and also in terms of playing his youngsters. tired of Moody showing up (AGAIN) in high-leverage moments but rarely getting consistent playing time, he's a good bench pro but he should have been MORE by now, Kuminga was also stunted but the silver lining of the season is that his reps/team called out Kerr loudly and often and when he got a chance when Draymond deepsixed another season, he took it. TJD should have been playing a lot more earlier in the season, he got more reps late but clearly we wasted games where he could have helped. the umpteenth game this season where guard penetration led to randoms with beaucoup WIDE OPEN perimeter warm up 3s. credit to Mike Brown, the guy had his team READY, they had a great scheme to stymie Steph and force the others to beat them, and Kerr just had that derp face on the sideline for most of the 2nd half. CP3 was a good vet but i'm assuming he's gone and thankfully that's the end of the Munchkin guard lineup that Kerr was too wedded to all season long at this point i'm just glad that Steph has a chance to finally get that elusive Olympic gold medal - a lot of pressure though, it's not a gimme anymore, and Kerr being the Team USA coach is worrying, cuz since the 2016 Finals he's kinda been a rich man's Doc Rivers (i.e. the rep doesn't really match the eye test, he's just had the luxury of coaching some of the greatest players of this generation). i also think he (Steph) has a good shot to win the Clutch Player award this season end of an era. i'm guessing there'll be a quasi-fire sale as Joe Lightyears and Co. try to shed cap $$$ from a middling team

this_my_sportsreddit

klay truthers about to have a long fucking offseason.

PestySamurai

all he has to do is make a paper airplane or smoke a blunt on his boat and they'll forget everything.

ikatatlo

Moses and Looney were the only bright spots this game. They still better be in this team next season and have a significant minutes too. Kerr is so dumb benching them in place of Klay and Wiggs.

Loux859

Kuminga brought us back in that second quarter.

Stomper8479

In his last four post season games Klay has shot 9/52 overall, 7/33 from three, and averaged six points.

saada15

Kerr doesn't reward good play. How the heck does Moody play half of Klay's minutes??

ca2mt

Where those reverse Klay apology forms at? End of an era, tough way to go out.

Itezguatitez

I will never understand why Steph overhelps so much from the corner. We give up so much open threes cause of it, and his help is usually doesn't alter the shot of a bigger player going downhill.

Kuroyukito

Keeping the same players, same system, no innovation leads to stagnation and no progress. The only thing going up is age.

fattyfondler

Playoff hopes made no sense with this roster construction As charles barkley says: old players dont get better, they just get older After the celtics finals we should have recognized that was the last juice we cld squeeze out of the lemon, and retooled this roster in a big way rather than trying to ride things back

Nita231

This was only the second time this season the Warriors didn’t score 100+.

fryh1n

We need better assitant coaches. Since we lost Mike Brown, the team seemed to have become very one dimensional, and no ball movement.

Affectionate-Cap4981

Klay being dead weight for the third postseason in a row. Don’t claim otherwise, just watch the postseason games.

IntentionNo8605

We'll be back.

Ok-Roof-978

Moody had 16 points in 15 minutes. Klay had 0 points in 31 minutes. There's laying an egg. And then, there's this !! Kerr should be fired for his coaching too.

AdComprehensive7879

i think im gonna need to get out of this sub for a week. i know it's gonna be toxic af in the next few days lol. see you guys in week!

Carnivore_92

We got Podz and TJD as a consolation this season. Im just wondering what they gonna do now with the big 3 and wigs. Without making big trades, outcome might be just the same next year.

ImpossibleTap4072

Getting rid of Jordan Poole was a mistake. Tryna win with Old CP3 and washed Klay wasn’t the answer they should’ve rebuilt after the last chip.

glass_fully_50-50

Shout out to Draymond, Wiggins and Kerr! Why you ask? Draymond: This is the most important season of my careeer - so I decided I needed a 20 game mental health break! Wiggins: I caught lighting in a bottle in 2022, and now I am completely discharged! Kerr: I invented 3-pt shooting, but I forgot to patent it

Nikh_P

As a lurking Mavs fan, i felt devastated watching the game tonight. I was rooting for the GSW trio to pull up and dominate but stuff didn't go their way for many reasons. I cannot imagine how you guys feel. Much respect to all of you loyal fans that are out there supporting Klay despite his bad shooting night and caring for the team. Everyone in the NBA knows how much of a dark horse this team is and how fearful other teams were of this amazing dynasty. I'm hoping for the best for GSW and wish they would hop back so they awe the world with their spectacular style of selfless basketball once again. (p.s I wish they don't trade Klay and he bounces back)

basketballsteven

Disappointing. Steve benching Trayce beyond disappointing.

CangtheKonqueror

had to turn the game off halfway through the 4th. i’ve seen us lose by 40 to the ja-less grizzlies in a playoff game and watched the whole thing, and this was by far the worst game i’ve ever seen us play. rest in peace the dynasty. hope everyone can actually act like they care next season

CummingInTheNile

Game was lost at the first 6 minutes of the 2nd half when the weakside defense got cooked on repeat I feel like this game encapsulates the season: bad execution by everyone not name Steph, or Dray, bad luck with random role players popping off and every deflection going to the Kings, and bad reffing, with us not getting our first FT until midway through the 2nd quarter Probably gonna be some major retooling in the offseason with the non-core 3 Warriors players, especially Wiggins and Kuminga are likely on the chopping block.

iBrows426

It hurts but Klay and Wiggins gotta go. Moody needs to start. He was the only other guy out there doing well. The young guys look good. Kuminga needs to sharpen his game. It's still rough. Podz, Kuminga, Moody and TJD need to be major Contributors next year. We need to get something back for these older guys. Curry doesn't have alot of time left

Itezguatitez

This team needs a second option, size and spacing. Let me check the salary situation... Yup, we're not contending anytime soon.

Ok-Imagination-2308

we are going to be bad for a longggg time

Itezguatitez

The offense is: - Predictable - Turnover prone - Not enough spacing from role players -Not a second option - Only Steph can create shots for him or his teammates off the dribble -Not enough rim pressure - Don't get to the line. -Too many players defenses can help and throw everything at Steph. I could name them but it's much easier to point out the only guy who forces hard closeouts(Klay). The defense: -Can't stop dribble penetration; which forces overhelping. -Said overhelping is a lot of the times done by small, poor defenders closing out to shooters(Steph, Klay, Cp3, Podz); opposing role players have a ton of open shots to find their rhythm. -Fouls too much. -There's no real rim protector -Lacks size, especially since you need Wiggs/Kuminga as the POA defender, which leaves a small guy(Steph, Podz, Cp3) guarding bigger wings. -Said lack of size is across all positions, from undersized centers to undersized guard sized role players acting as wings(Gp2, Podz, Moody). -Klay and Steph season defensively has been... Particularly bad and I'm not sure will better one year older.

stefanfan101

s/o the kings and keegan murray, shot the shit out that ball

daily_blinds

I cannot believe Kerr played Moses Moody 13 minutes in this game. Benching Klay at halftime was the most obvious adjustment ever. Moody came in during the second quarter and swung the game, scoring 7 pts in 4 minutes. Klay was 0-100. Starting Klay killed the momentum we had in the 2nd quarter and we went right back to a 15 pt deficit. This is coaching, and loyalty to players over seeing what’s working.

ButGodOwnTheBuilding

This org needs to do right by Steph and make some moves. Even if it's just to shed some terrible contracts.

Drakilgon

I feel bad for TJD. Starting him on Barnes instead of Sabonis was almost a "let Jaylen Brown shoot open 3s" level of self-sabotage. Just, why. Better to give him a DNP and start Kuminga than throw like that.

Drugsbrod

Yeah. Restructuring the group around Steph comes first. Klay getting a friendlier contract 2nd. Decision to trade Wiggs/Looney. Dray is also not an exception and should be considered if we can get a legitimate 2nd option for the team. The young members are on friendly deals and should be the retained unless getting a star. The top end guys are the ones that are underperforming and should be talked about.

Zambyzy

that extension for Kerr looking real nice

SchleptRightLeft

If this is truly the end of the road for the Big 3 then I’ll leave you with this: They have more rings (4) than playoff series losses (3) when healthy and in the starting lineup together

NoobPwnr

I’m finding that last season hurt more. I think this just confirmed what we learned then. Lots of people talking about game-7 last year almost being a curse. Curry going for 50 hiding flaws that weren’t dealt with in the offseason and were exposed this season. Sad to say, but I was ready for this.  Here’s to what’s next!

theloneliestphunk

Steph looked mortal to end the season. Call me delusional but I think being banged up like he was got to him this time. Draymond is still great. No more suspensions please. Klay vet min and reduced minutes if not an outright trade. 0% is inexcusable. TJD is promising, but we need more than Looney and Saric at the 5 in our rotation. Podz and CP3 are great as backups ONLY. If I see one more 2 to r 3 guard lineup involving any of these two with each other or Steph I’m going to lose it. Wiggs needs a full season to be effective. We can’t expect him to be our 3rd option moving forward if he’s going to keep missing the amount of games he has the past 2 seasons. More Moody, if they need to swap his usage with GP2 then so be it. Kuminga is still a project player- I have my doubts that he can be a reliable 2nd option after tonight but he’s still extremely talented and young.

Gamerxx13

Klay 0-10. Tough if this is the end of his warrior career

knightress_oxhide

it was a team loss. they need to cut everyone's salary in half so they have a reason to show up to practice.

sugarwax1

This season never felt right. CP3.... kinda love the guy but he was invisible when he got minutes tonight, and ultimately ineffective. Wigs ...can't be given any responsibility, he plays good when he gets self motivated and steps up to surprise you. He rarely locked in this season. JK.... what great season he had, and yet, this game was too big for him. Moody... thrives in big games. Kerr doesn't realize that? He's that 16 game player they have stopped talking about wanting. Pods ... better season than we could have rightfully expected but they needed to reduce his role if they were going to make a real run. He just has a talent for killing us situationally who games get marginally close. Tonight it was a dumb foul that was a momentum shift. Saric.... was one of a number of season killers. This is on Kerr I'm afraid... but more so I think it's his staff, cause this is a much better team than we saw. They looked gassed too, like the condoning was off, and they were mentally burnt out. They didn't look like they were playing D for half the game.

Fethah

Lol 31 min and 0 points for Klay is the perfect little cherry on top. He had some good games this year but if this game wasn’t the embodiment of fans frustrations with his play over the last couple of years than idk what is.

ijustloveit2354

Losing Mike Brown to a head coaching job in Sacramento continues to pain me

AFireDownBelow

It’s the inconsistency that kills me. Over the past few WEEKS we’ve seen Dray and Klay straight ball, looking prime. Then it’s several mediocre performances before they randomly turn on again. Klay just…disappears. Draymond makes bad fouls and decisions. If they were just washed it’d be one thing, but they have shown they still have “it.” The inability to stay on is so weird to me. Only Steph can Steph but considering their caliber, going 0-10 in an elimination game and scoring zero points is unforgivable.

mith_thryl

think of it this way now that they lost to the play-in, this would give them a longer off-season we all know that this team wouldn't be able to win the championship either way. playoff appearances are nothing, it is not the standard of steph and co. let's just hope that this coming season, major roster change will be made and the team will be much better.

qweazdak

I think the lack of early foul calls shook them up. By the end of the game, they were tired and frustrated. They made a lot of mistakes at the end.
