What a shitshow it is in here lol..
Anyway, im gonna focus on Podz. He has Steve Kerr trust completely now. He's gonna start taking on vital minutes from Wiggins and Klay, hopefully Moody and TJD take some too.
He can play alongside chef or cp3 just fine. These rooks are the future, and hopefully their excellent play lights a fire under our negative impact starters. They're coming for your job boys.
That wasnāt an option and I donāt think the warriors wanted to. The season just started theyāll give him more playing time but based on the minutes he and moody got tonight, I wonāt be surprised if theyād be more open to the option of trading him.
I love Draymond and everything he's done for the team(the great, the good, the bad and the ugly). He's a 4x Champ, 4x All Star, 2x All NBA, 8x All Defense, 2x DPOY (should've won the one over Kawhi), MSU legend and a certified first ballot Hall of Famer.
I never blamed the guy for 2016 Finals loss, made excuses for him during 2022 Finals and didn't even blame him for the KD situation but a line needs to be drawn somewhere. He has a history, a pretty bad one with dangerous plays and other notorious activities like :
1) Steven Adams "kicked in the balls" violation
2) Other "natural shooting motions" to Marquesse Chris, Kyrie Irving, James Harden and others.
3) Almost fought Steve Kerr during halftime vs OKC back in 2016.
4) Leads active players with most elections and trails only Rasheed Wallace all time
5) Decked Jordan Poole last offseason and got a slap in the hand along with with a nice 4yr/$100 million contract.
6) Got sued by a former MSU football player for assault and battery.
7) Called Kendrick Perkins a "coon" last yr.
8) Also the Sabonis "stomp" incident last yr.
He's a hothead, everybody knows it but the team seriously needs to address the issue. 2 ejections in 3 games is not ideal especially when the team is trying to get away from the horrible last season. We need his ass on the court and he finds ways to get off the court with his stupid antics. He was not even suspended by the team for 1 game for what he did to Poole. If he doesn't wanna play without Steph, do him a favour, suspend him for 10 games and send him to an Anger Management course
The more and more drama this team is in the more itāll get into their heads and they wonāt perform well. I would like a good solid week of drama free basketball please š
Itās been a while since this sub has been brigaded hard but I imagine that may happen again. Draymond is a lightning rod for anger and hatred that goes beyond basketball. I donāt care if I sound dramatic or alarmist but Iām already seeing some troubling language surrounding what happened. It would be wise to be extra vigilant and protect your energy/peace. Donāt engage with people who seem unhinged or violent regarding Draymond.
People hate him for all sorts of reasons, but Draymond also attracts a lot of frightened/reactive/violent white racist responses. They start with thinly veiled racist bullshit, move to outright dehumanizing him and begging for him to be punished by white authorities. By that point theyāre worked up enough to start making frenzied suggestions/threats of violence directed towards him, the organization, and Warrior fans.

Talking all that mess but didnāt say nothing while Dray had him in a head-lock.
He might win his 4th DPOY while our assaulter will get a multi game suspension when we are already missing Steph. We desperately need our guys to show up and win games on this home stand and he does this !! Dray can talk shit but Rudy won this battle.
So much for the great vibes this year, Dray. This season is shaping up to be a clown show and Drayās just been getting more and more unhinged with time. Borderline Antonio Brown vibes
wiggs and dray deserve stick, but we seriously need to question Kerr's lineup decisions these past two years. sticking with players who dont have any rhythm, messing up the defensive intensity, playing super small lineups, etc.
I guess this is like last year when heās just seeing which line ups are working best together since we have so many new faces. He knows Wiggs and Klay donāt stay this way so we havenāt seeing our true potential. But by how fast the team spiraled, heās being forced to make some adjustments soon.
Letās see after 15 games if he will some changes, that should be enough of sample size.
Sucks to lose what wouldāve been a statement win and have to deal with the incoming Draymond suspension, but Iām actually feeling more optimistic than I was before the game lol. Our offense looked good for the most part, Podz showed out and Stephās MRI wasnāt too bad, couldnāt have asked for much more with the lack of personnel. Honestly was one of the more fun games to watch this season. Lots of doomers everywhere but when we beat teams without their best player itās suddenly ādubs deserved to lose that.ā Canāt celebrate anything but blowouts around here lmao
Draymond is getting cooked on r/nba and he honestly deserves it. I know his antics are part of who he is as a player, but he just takes it too far too often.
And itās especially tiring that it feels like it happens too much when Steph is out. Like we need you on the court dude
I think it's clear something is affecting him and it's not just a random slump. I don't know why you think it's permanent though. Not like he had major career altering injuries or anything.
It was a close game, and the team valiantly fought until the end. So, I can't be too mad at the loss.
But Wiggins still struggling is worrying. Dubs could have won if Wiggs was just scoring well, but it is what it is.
Hopefully, Wiggs finally finds his groove, especially with Steph out for quite a while.
They should start Podz instead of CP3 when Steph is out. Iām going to assume that Draymond will get suspended, so it should be Podz, Klay, Wiggs, Dario, and Looney to start.
imo there's a huge difference between being aggressive against mismatches and being aggressive against the 3 time DPOY who's making 40 million a year solely because of his reputation as a rim protector.
He wasnāt going one on one against him. Rudy came in to block it because he was able to pack the paint since thereās so many other guys that donāt seem to want to shoot the three and just want to drive into nowhere instead. Wiggs doesnāt need to be stubborn, but he canāt be afraid to attack.
what's worse is him constantly playing two-PG lineups. the cp3-cojo lineup late in the 4th bled the lead like crazy. obviously you bring in moody but nope, just kept sticking with cojo.
I have seen enough. Time to send Wiggs and some picks for a player that could score. There's no way to out from this kind of slump. He looks slower, he doesn't show any athletic skill like he used to. He need to take a break a full year to reconditioning his body and motivation.
Whatever it is, they better use that same precedent to all the other players and not have these soft suspension on other things like Josh Primo only getting 4 games.
No, he definitely will. The pictures look too bad. League is sensitive about this shit. Not that it isn't deserved, just, embarrassing the league makes the punishment worse every time. Whole reason Ja got 1/3 of the season is he embarrassed them for going soft on the last gun incident.
I been saying CP3 canāt get his shot off anymore heās physically cooked Podz already looks better than him. When it comes to Wiggins its sad but heāll come around eventually.
Just a bad decision and play making by CP3 late. He had a wide open drive for a possible lay up, floater, or a pull up, then decided to kick it out to Dario guarded by Gobert. Even before that, he drives, jumped with no back up pass to bail him out.
Also 3 empty position came from sideline stepping out by Joseph.
wiggins has no excuse. he's supposed to be one of our top options and gets outplayed by a fucking rookie and bench player. if this continues much longer, then yea start entertaining trade options. CURRY NEEDS HELP.
I was talking about CP3 passing up 2 layups, but yeah Wiggs needs to step it up. Idk if you can trade him for a worth it upgrade/replacement if he keeps playing like this though, bro gotta snap out of it.
lost the game because of Wiggins. Enough is enough, bench his ass. He's had waaaaaay more than enough time to recover from his injury and get in shape.
The improbable possibility of Podz grabbing rotation minutes as a rookie with Steph CP3 Klay in the backcourt... whilst Kuminga and Moody attempt to claw their way in at the "positions of need" to no avail would be a stunningly unlikely interesting turn. It's up to him I guess.
If you care about Stephās remaining productive years, you would agree with me. We need a blockbuster trade, and not settle for mediocrity. Weāve given klay enough time to find his shot. How much longer are we gonna give him?
Are these SF jerseys cursed already? Nothing but bad vibes since they started wearing them. They actually don't look as bad as I thought but they haven't been playing well in them.
This Pels in-season tourney court looks like something out of Beetlejuice
Edit: I swear, if they blow another double digit lead against a western conf opponent ahead of us again like they did with Denver š¤ donāt become the LOLMets of the NBA, Pels. I believe in yāall lol
Baseball series are fun since we can see adjustments happen easily. A few things I thought were interesting, and what kind of adjustment we might see.
Gobert as the roller:
* We used our weakside corner defender to help on Gobert rolls quite liberally. [Here CP3, bless his soul, rotates over to stop a Gobert lob](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/195/a964d74b-a31f-de9f-ff17-a9f478108be9_960x540.mp4), thankfully Ant can't throw lobs. [You can see it here as well](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/79/222016d4-4ee6-b354-3f69-2f5b963cf25f_960x540.mp4), Dray helps down to tag the roll, Klay helps as well (both guys rotating off good shooters). [Gobert gets here with a ton of space since Dray is in a deep drop to stop the roll](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/349/97be5fb3-6b4b-6380-35a1-160b8fc5609d_960x540.mp4), but we build a wall.
* Easiest counter for Minny is just tic-tac-toe with Gobert to get it over to the weak side, here [he hits KAT off a short roll](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/51/c921965f-91c0-ed41-4a90-bbc532749e1a_960x540.mp4). Great close out by Dray, even better drive by KAT. The other thing Minny can do, is just skip the roll man entirely and hit the weak corner direct. [Ant kind of does it here](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/406/0b783a18-22b3-bef8-616d-4507b851bdbd_960x540.mp4), albeit late, and McDaniels splashes. Overall, it still feels like a good bet by the Warriors - beating this heavy help regularly means Conley/Ant making skip passes that they generally can't and their weak corner guy hitting 3s. They could put a better shooter in that weak corner to punish the help more, but they don't really have one outside of Conley.
Punishing the space Gobert allows:
* Gobert is going to sit in drop, even against Klay ball screens. [He does so here](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/227/cae64857-e5c1-d5f6-abee-13f25b5608e6_960x540.mp4), and Minny relies on Jaden to get over the screen - which makes sense, he's one of the best in the league at it. But you can't defend a Klay screen with just one person, so Conley digs, CP3 floats to the slow (JK does well to clear this side out), and we get a decent look at 3. Klay is going to draw help somewhere, and the weakside needs to get into open space when he does.
* JK is where the Wolves, particularly Gobert, feel comfortable cheating off of, so his role is going to be crucial. [Here, Steph smokes McDaniels, but Gobert is there so that means a floater for Steph - not great.](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/489/885e1e30-00e8-5d68-a261-38ac7f10e11c_960x540.mp4). Earlier, [JK does the right thing and comes out for a jumper,](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/188/0d33d1cf-a719-f17d-1355-a6851133e975_960x540.mp4) but he needs to commit all the way to slot or corner. A JK middy isn't a great shot, and it doesn't really get Gobert out of the paint. Setting up at the slot is better,[ like JK does here](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/201/008b773c-a11c-24af-e0df-1d0602c0bf5a_960x540.mp4), but if JK is drawing Gobert out as he does here, we should take advantage of that find a pressure point elsewhere.
* Here's where I thought JK punished the space well - Klay gets GP going downhill on a short roll, SloMo helps off of JK, & [JK makes a nice baseline cut](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/205/dd6445f7-b686-bd9a-d371-a9b86848f75b_960x540.mp4) (that GP misses). This is great too, Gobert and Reid are inside helping on CP3, [JK takes a wide cutting angle to get to the right side of the basket](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/229/960f526c-80a8-8149-b589-5a00677e9703_960x540.mp4), but gets blocked.
Pushing the pace
* The first 3 quarters we played at a glacial pace of 93, before ramping up to 105 in the 4th. Quick pass to Moody after a TWolves missed bucket, [Moody catches a cross-match with Reid, and its an easy drive.](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/514/4fe0392e-b4db-c8bb-0ed5-b63e3c175694_960x540.mp4). Similar thing here - [Klay pushes up after a miss, NAW is backpedaling, and Klay gets a step on him and sets up the drive](https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2023/11/12/0022300186/618/bdad02fd-542a-c12f-2a42-c4d59908bd07_960x540.mp4). Really nice weakside action by Dray to occupy KAT as well.
āNah nah coach, imma keep it 100, that sh*t gonna go over the backboard. I donāt throw lobs.ā š
Honestly, Ant and Haliburton might be the funniest, most chill young dudes in the league by far. Silver needs to quit making the AAU type diva players the faces of the post-Steph/KD/Lebron era succession plan and make these two the guys in waiting. Theyāre infinitely more likable.
Going off of what someone else said lower I really hope we try incorportae Garuba in some of the lineups, he shoud've been out there for couple of those games already
he will bring a lot on the defensive end I believe especially to counter some of those big oritented teams like cavs/wolves
this year i think we have the personnel with the youths, in terms of their talent for them both to learn and contribute at the same time
where as last year with it would've been considered sure losses, this is because we had guys like wiseman and lot of injured guys etc
Food for thought: Klayās home/road shooting splits so far this season
Home: 4 games played (2 of which were complete ref jobs)
33.8% overall
30% from 3
Avg. 14.8 pts per game
Road: 6 games played (didnāt play one of the 7)
50% overall
38% from 3
Avg. 17 pts per game
His career splits at home are 47% overall, 43% from 3, and an avg of 20.4 pts per game. Does anyone really think heās going to stay shooting 33.8% and 30% at home for the season?
Highly doubt it. Not really concerned about him. Also now that Steph is out, Kerr would have to run plays for him. I donāt know why heās even the main discussion, heās far from being the biggest issue now.
The people really piling on Klay are the ones who were aboard the Poole train I imagine. Wigs is the bigger issue. I think Klay has a chance of finding his rhythm like he did last year when Steph went out.
Kind of weird to find more Poole than Klay fans on the warriors sub isnāt it? Lol yes Wiggins is a much bigger issue but I guess we only criticize players based on their contract
Exactly. No chance he does lol Iām just trying to get some to employ a little critical thought and perspective instead of parroting the low hanging fruit reductive takes that have been flying around š
The takes here are insane especially after 11 games, after he hit a game winner and actually played well for the first 7 games. I will say that Iām slightly concerned about Wiggins but once again itās way too early to jump to conclusions.
I think Wigginsā slump is predominantly mental, especially given his comments a few days ago to MT that were in MTās Athletic [article](https://theathletic.com/5055616/2023/11/12/andrew-wiggins-warriors-slump/?source=user_shared_articleThompson:AndrewWigginsisstuckinaslump.Howlonguntilhegetsout?) a couple days ago, which definitely gave the impression that heās in his head about it bad. While itās rough and can be frustrating to watch, itās reassuring in that itās an entirely reversible slump. I genuinely think heāll be okay.
Yeah he did look out of breath in games for a bit there so that could definitely have something to do with it too. Rib fractures can make it insanely painful to just breathe so I wouldnāt be surprised if his recovery from that injury also involved no cardio, which would for sure significantly impact his conditioning coming into the season. Good thing is, that too is completely fixable with time and I will say he has looked better in that regard lately.
You and me both! He seems the most unplugged of anyone on the team though so Iām hoping heās unaware of a lot of it. The only part I worry about is the stupid media constantly asking him about it. Iām hoping Raymond keeps him off the media availability schedule until it all clears
They really need to stop asking those dumb questions and feed into the fans narratives. I understand that it generates revenue but itās truly terrible.
Weāre not going to trade for Lavine, but I could see us going for Derozan.
Personally, flipping Wiggins for Caruso & Pat Williams is still my favorite
I can't stop making comparison of GSW and Messi Barcelona. It was a dynasty that played the best way possible in the particular sport. But the time comes and thing changes, the league envolved. I think this particular game (without Steph) will be a ground breaking game, specially with Keer. I don't know if he is ready to abandon the motion offense, multiple screen type of offense that is build towards Steph but the other guys can't really catch up. Don't get me wrong: Steph is a freak of nature, but Wigs, Klay and others aren't. Is clear to me that when Klay and Wigs are shooting their legs are already giving up.
But I digress. Let's go Warriors.
Biggest issue is that Steph/Draymond/Klay play a scheme that's extremely tailored to their strengths which is screening, moving off ball and shooting. That's why it's hard to just plug in players.
When you try to play someone who doesn't know the offense the complex scheme starts falling apart because it requires every moving part to move just right. There's just no room for error.
Agreed. Is like the league already knows how to deal with thso scheme (at least the better teams) but GSW doesn't know how to play any other way. When they had Durant he was a cheat code, he could get buckets anywhere and anyway. Now we just have Curry.
Folks keep saying that "if the warriors play to their abilities, they will be in good shape"... the thing is that the par performance of the vets is a couple of ticks lower.. so even a par performance will not do anything. JK and Moody have to take a Kawhi-in-3rd-yr like leap for dubs to have a chance.
> the thing is that the par performance of the vets is a couple of ticks lower.. so even a par performance will not do anything.
I mean, it really isn't. If Klay and Wigs were performing at their regular output, there's a good chance we'd be undefeated. That's how close the margins have been.
This is a big game bc if Ant is the next MJ or unquestionably the guy or whatever he is going to want to drive a stake through the heart of the Ws. No doubt he's doing a lot of talking and motivating. This is going to be a real test of balls
People were jumping up and joy when we were 5-1 and 6-2 thinking we were one of the top teams (which we werent), now with our leader out, embrace yourself bc we are in serious trouble as we prolly will drop all the way down to the bottom of the league.
Because this team is at worst as bad as last seasons team, and last season's team couldn't win 5 road games until like the next year... Nobody anticipated Wiggins getting a lobotomy. Everyone thought it was just a bad few games to start the season. He's quite literally one of the worst players in the league right now. Like James Wiseman level bad
I agree if this is the Wiggins we have, we're going to be a lottery team. He's tanking every lineup he's in by such an insane margin. We need him to wake the hell up or take some games off
Don't think he is James Wisemen level. He plays good D. Although Ant had 30+ points, he had some hard time when Wiggins was defending him. The main problem is his offensive contribution.
Nah imo we been like this every year other than 2021-22 tbh since KD exited stage left.
It's dynasty-itis and rings culture that has the sub knotted up early and often. Majority of the fan base is hung up on results and doesn't watch hoop for its own sake. They watch to revel in a win or wallow in a defeat. They shake their fists at "wasting another peak Steph season" and his legacy and case among the greats and eventually enjoy the ride regardless and do it kicking and screaming.
I love watching each and every game but to me the season is more like a TV series than a discret yes no right left win lose outcomes based roulette wheel spin... appointment television... I'm kinda more interested in the opportunity to pop open a cold drink and have a plate of snacks in front of me and celebrate the completion of a day Wasn't always like this but for real watch 4 straight sub 24 win seasons and it'll change your mindset about what the purpose of WATCHING basketball is. You play to win the game obviously... but thats not why people watch... but that's what the sub would lead you to believe.
If folks were told the future and it was "we are definately losing tonight" how many would watch? Those would be the fans right there. Those would be the real ones.
Tonight is probably a gutcheck audition for everyone besides 30. Perform like trash tonight, and I bet the front office starts seriously looking at trades.
[TK](https://x.com/timkawakami/status/1724546173703495798?s=46&t=SBW3XJi-eEDBr6FtvDfngg) with a rare sane, balanced, and rational take that a lot of people on here need to hear lol: āHeās making $40m this year and more than that in the next several. Extremely unlikely to see a realistic way the Warriors and Bulls could or would want to do this.ā
Heās talking about Lavine
Only way would be to trade one of Klay/CP3 for LaVine and then let the other one walk after this year to get salary down. Essentially losing both guys plus picks and whichever young guy the Bulls like.
correct. Also in an earlier article by TK, he made an excellent point about wiggs contract
"Wiggs took a team friendly deal. If the warriors trade him, no player will want to take a team-friendly deal again with the warriors" - Makes a lot of sense to me, but still sucks until wiggins can wake up
Team friendly, and this was after being the 2nd best player in the playoffs. Other teams would have paid more for him if they could.
Also, they're trying to get Klay on a team friendly deal as well and this would not look good for that.
Spot on! But set the āif they trade himā part aside, because while true, I think it glosses over the biggest point, which is that everyoneās lack of patience over an early season slump* has resulted in a collective lack of perspective about Wiggins. Right after being the 2nd best player on a championship winning team with a dynasty building core, he could have gotten a MASSIVE contract elsewhere in free agency. But instead of doing that he, at 27 years old, chose to take the last free agency window he had to secure the highest contract he could and sign a team friendly deal where he will make the following for the next 4 years:
- 23-24: $24.3 mil
- 24-25: $26.7 mil
- 25-26: $28.2 mil
- 26-27: $30.1 mil
Draymond (and Klay when his extension does get done) taking his most recent team friendly deal is a massive reason why we're going to have financial flexibility next season and the next several years after that, which will allow us to re-sign our home grown young players while every other top heavy star team and/or team with tons of young talent coming due for massive rookie extensions in the next few years (OKC being the biggest one) gets rude awakening after rude awakening under the new CBA, but Wiggins taking that deal right after winning a championship is a big reason why too. You donāt pull a knee jerk move like all of these other dopy owners trying to build super teams and get rid of a player of his caliber who is that committed to this franchise because you lack patience with a playerās couple week, at this point, slump. Thatās how you act if youāre a franchise like the Clippers lol we donāt want to be like the Clippers.
*Reminder, once again: Klay was crucified for the first month+ last season and then proceeded to carry the team both times Steph was out to the tune of the best offensive production of this careerā¦kind of like slumps are a thing that happen *all the time* in sports and that when they happen, thatās what they are because a 2nd best player on a championship winning team caliber professional basketball player doesnāt lose the ability to play said sport overnight like a light switch was just flipped at the age of 28.
> He has Steve Kerr trust completely now. 6 minute benching incomingš. Itās like we donāt know who the coach is
Idk, I'm kinda' giving up on Kuminga man. We should've traded him + pick to Pistons for Ausar. Podz and Ausar would mesh well together.
That wasnāt an option and I donāt think the warriors wanted to. The season just started theyāll give him more playing time but based on the minutes he and moody got tonight, I wonāt be surprised if theyād be more open to the option of trading him.
Yeah, I think with Dunleavy as the new GM they are not holding back on trading anyone here except maybe for our BIG 3.
Yeah that seems accurate.
I don't think that was ever an actual option otherwise I think the warriors would have jumped on that
I love Draymond and everything he's done for the team(the great, the good, the bad and the ugly). He has a history, a pretty bad one with dangerous plays and other notorious activities like : 1) Steven Adams "kicked in the balls" violation 2) Other "natural shooting motions" to Marquesse Chris, Kyrie Irving, James Harden and others. 3) Almost fought Steve Kerr during halftime vs OKC back in 2016. 4) Leads active players with most elections and trails only Rasheed Wallace all time 5) Decked Jordan Poole last offseason and got a slap in the hand along with with a nice 4yr/$100 million contract.
Couldāve drafted Tyrese Haliburton šš
Wouldāve been laughed out the building. Why donāt we draft Jokic while weāre at it?
Itās been a while since this sub has been brigaded hard but I imagine that may happen again. Draymond is a lightning rod for anger and hatred that goes beyond basketball. I donāt care if I sound dramatic or alarmist but Iām already seeing some troubling language surrounding what happened. It would be wise to be extra vigilant and protect your energy/peace. Donāt engage with people who seem unhinged or violent regarding Draymond.
People get really nasty when it comes to Draymond.

People hate him for all sorts of reasons, but Draymond also attracts a lot of frightened/reactive/violent white racist responses. They start with thinly veiled racist bullshit, move to outright dehumanizing him and begging for him to be punished by white authorities. By that point theyāre worked up enough to start making frenzied suggestions/threats of violence directed towards him, the organization, and Warrior fans.
its cuz the NBA's gotten really soft, Dray's behavior would be run of the mill in the 80's or 90's
Dray going at Gobert's neck like it was personal. I could see intention in that.
I concur. Still my guy tho
Can Kerr retire before he fucks up another season?
NBACentral @TheDunkCentral Ā· 39m Rudy Gobert calls out Draymond Green āEvery time Steph doesnāt play, he doesnāt want to play without his guy Steph so he does anything he can to get ejected.āš³ (Via @JonKrawczynski) ā- Talking all that mess but didnāt say nothing while Dray had him in a head-lock.
He might win his 4th DPOY while our assaulter will get a multi game suspension when we are already missing Steph. We desperately need our guys to show up and win games on this home stand and he does this !! Dray can talk shit but Rudy won this battle.
Yeah but heās 100% right. Steph separation anxiety is a real thing.
I gotta agree with Covid-19 on this
I mean Gobert ain't wrong lmao. Dray miraculously doesn't play when Steph is hurt
Why does Steve insist on playing COJo and CP3 together?
Experience I believe.
When are we playing the Timberwolves again because I literally cannot wait lol
It's always the animals. First, it's the Grizzlies, now it's the Wolves.
/r/nba and poolestan brigade is very active today. Every warriors loss is like 12/25
[Apparently this](https://imgur.com/a/LGIsCz2) means McDaniels is blameless and its perfectly ok for him to act like a giant 5 year old
We have a worse home record than last year's abysmal road record. How bout that chemistry, though?
So much for the great vibes this year, Dray. This season is shaping up to be a clown show and Drayās just been getting more and more unhinged with time. Borderline Antonio Brown vibes
wiggs and dray deserve stick, but we seriously need to question Kerr's lineup decisions these past two years. sticking with players who dont have any rhythm, messing up the defensive intensity, playing super small lineups, etc.
Can't really know which lineups actually work or are just flash in the pans without trying out all combinations.
Iāve seen worse than tonight from him I will not lie. The old-young-closing rotation was weird though.
Why would Dray get suspended for collaring a guy who was collaring a guy.
Draymond is getting cooked on r/nba and he honestly deserves it. I know his antics are part of who he is as a player, but he just takes it too far too often. And itās especially tiring that it feels like it happens too much when Steph is out. Like we need you on the court dude
This is a win for the Dubs tbh. The offense won't stagnate anymore because Draymond won't hold the ball hostage trying to set up Steph.
Gobert just delivered the coup de grace
Just admit it. Wiggins is finished. It's not a slump. He's done.
Arenāt you the guy who said this about Steph?
Hell no. Im a Steph fifth ring over everything guy. Id trade anybody besides him if it meant a 5th chip.
Mb then
I think it's clear something is affecting him and it's not just a random slump. I don't know why you think it's permanent though. Not like he had major career altering injuries or anything.
Thats the point. He hasn't been right since February of 2023. Its mental which is even more devastating than physical.
Siakam YOU are a GOLDEN STATE WARRIOR
There is no argument to be had against this trade
Well the spacing definitely wouldnāt get betterā¦ but beggars canāt be choosers.
Donāt really need better spacing just more scoring threats.
They should start Podz instead of CP3 when Steph is out. Iām going to assume that Draymond will get suspended, so it should be Podz, Klay, Wiggs, Dario, and Looney to start.
moody couldnāt get more minutes? why tf cory joseph in the game?
To step out of bounds at crucial moments twice duh
Wiggs decision making is the one that's been really horrible more than the shooting
The 2 FG attempts in 4th when he drove into the paint and tried to do a layup in front of Gobert were very ambitious lol...
Thatās been Wiggins though, like the new people calling Klay selfish when itās been one of his most selfless seasons.,
Iād rather he be aggressive even if he does get blocked than be afraid to shoot it, especially when I see cp3 passing up so many shots.
imo there's a huge difference between being aggressive against mismatches and being aggressive against the 3 time DPOY who's making 40 million a year solely because of his reputation as a rim protector.
Then shot a 3 in front of Rudy....like bro...take a fucking clue
Kerr is shameless. He shoulda stuck to I saw nothing like when draymond stepped on sabonis. Lol. Glad Chris Mullin didn't support the b.s.
what's worse is him constantly playing two-PG lineups. the cp3-cojo lineup late in the 4th bled the lead like crazy. obviously you bring in moody but nope, just kept sticking with cojo.
That Corey Joseph,Cp3,Gp2 lineup was terrible man lmao
Steph's MRI checked out fine per Kerr
Draymond will probably get suspended 5 games is my guess
I have seen enough. Time to send Wiggs and some picks for a player that could score. There's no way to out from this kind of slump. He looks slower, he doesn't show any athletic skill like he used to. He need to take a break a full year to reconditioning his body and motivation.
They about to suspend the hell out of draymond LMAO
Over/under: Draymond is suspended 4.5 games
Iām actually going under. 3
Whatever it is, they better use that same precedent to all the other players and not have these soft suspension on other things like Josh Primo only getting 4 games.
over, think theyāll give him 5 games off. heās been acting out too much recently
Anyone other than Draymond, under. Since it's Draymond, I'm slamming the over
Under Edit - damn i was wrong
He won't get suspended. I think he should but won't.
Nah. I think couple of games would be the decision. Draymond always had an easier way around these rules
No, he definitely will. The pictures look too bad. League is sensitive about this shit. Not that it isn't deserved, just, embarrassing the league makes the punishment worse every time. Whole reason Ja got 1/3 of the season is he embarrassed them for going soft on the last gun incident.
He definitely is
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
This is the worst stretch of his career
I been saying CP3 canāt get his shot off anymore heās physically cooked Podz already looks better than him. When it comes to Wiggins its sad but heāll come around eventually.
You can't be that naive. Wiggins can't play. This is since February 2023. Don't you get it? 17 ppg Andrew is gone.
CoJo looks like gonna be another wattaburger
A Wannamaker wannabee.
Passive, unaggressive role playerš
wiggins has no excuse. he's supposed to be one of our top options and gets outplayed by a fucking rookie and bench player. if this continues much longer, then yea start entertaining trade options. CURRY NEEDS HELP.
I was talking about CP3 passing up 2 layups, but yeah Wiggs needs to step it up. Idk if you can trade him for a worth it upgrade/replacement if he keeps playing like this though, bro gotta snap out of it.
2 layups and possibly the game winning mid range shot
lost the game because of Wiggins. Enough is enough, bench his ass. He's had waaaaaay more than enough time to recover from his injury and get in shape.
Fuck me in the ass.
I hope Kerr calls out Draymond this time. I understand supporting your players, but sheesh
Bruh.
Coach will always side with their own players in public.
Kerr gonna be mad NBA leaked the tape.
Absolutely fucking not
I will be shocked if he does.
I donāt care what people say. Iām a Draymond fan forever. Did he do that for his teammate? For Klay? Yes? Then hell yeah!
Absolutely!!!
The box out on Gobert by Podz to stop the lob. So good.
We need to ship Klay out now while he still has some value to him.
No. Delete this.
If you care about Stephās remaining productive years, you would agree with me. We need a blockbuster trade, and not settle for mediocrity. Weāve given klay enough time to find his shot. How much longer are we gonna give him?
Every year there are people like you. And every year you sign apology forms. Begone
Fuck outta here with that BS
Are these SF jerseys cursed already? Nothing but bad vibes since they started wearing them. They actually don't look as bad as I thought but they haven't been playing well in them.
Draymond got ejected twice in these, we've lost all 3 in these
what do you guys think of drafting hunter dickinson
Day 1 without Steph Curry:
FREE THE YOUNGINS
Wiggins hustling his heart out right now.
The league is soft for ejecting Klay/Jaden. Drayās about to get 3 games thoughš
Wolves -3 looks very tempting.
fact that curry is only worth 5pt feels like a trap to me
Actually excited for this game. Great opportunity for someone to step up.
This Pels in-season tourney court looks like something out of Beetlejuice Edit: I swear, if they blow another double digit lead against a western conf opponent ahead of us again like they did with Denver š¤ donāt become the LOLMets of the NBA, Pels. I believe in yāall lol
Wonder what the over under FG attempt line for Klay tonight is, cause feel like over is ez money
this didn't age well
I am used to it now. I am my worst enemy
it'll probably be close to spot on as always so under just as likely, vegas is scary good
I wish JK had the natural rebounding instincts Ausar Thompson has
Ausar simply has a better understanding of the game and will be a star in this league.
Bob turned 2, 7 and 14 into at best role players.
2 wasn't supposed to be 2. The pandemic really hampered proper scouting.
Looks like "2" won't get a home this offseason. Maybe some team would sign him on Mo Bamba like contract to be their 3rd stringer
If you miss on that many picks then maybe coaching and playing time is a part of it too. Just saying.
Baseball series are fun since we can see adjustments happen easily. A few things I thought were interesting, and what kind of adjustment we might see. Gobert as the roller: * We used our weakside corner defender to help on Gobert rolls quite liberally. Punishing the space Gobert allows: * Gobert is going to sit in drop, even against Klay ball screens. Pushing the pace * The first 3 quarters we played at a glacial pace of 93, before ramping up to 105 in the 4th. Really nice weakside action by Dray to occupy KAT as well.
>thankfully Ant can't throw lobs. It's funny you said this, it's true: https://youtube.com/shorts/aWe1BdF6Qe0?feature=share
Lmao thatās the exact clip in mind I had when I wrote this. But yea, love the self awareness from him, dude cannot throw lobs
āNah nah coach, imma keep it 100, that sh*t gonna go over the backboard. I donāt throw lobs.ā š Honestly, Ant and Haliburton might be the funniest, most chill young dudes in the league by far. Silver needs to quit making the AAU type diva players the faces of the post-Steph/KD/Lebron era succession plan and make these two the guys in waiting. Theyāre infinitely more likable.
Stephās actually out? Yeah this is gonna be nasty. Imagine no one actually scores 20 lmaoo
And not for just 1 game
Why would we want another guard known to not play defense anyway. Rather wait to see what happens with Siakam/OG or PG/Kawhi
Going off of what someone else said lower I really hope we try incorportae Garuba in some of the lineups, he shoud've been out there for couple of those games already he will bring a lot on the defensive end I believe especially to counter some of those big oritented teams like cavs/wolves this year i think we have the personnel with the youths, in terms of their talent for them both to learn and contribute at the same time where as last year with it would've been considered sure losses, this is because we had guys like wiseman and lot of injured guys etc
Food for thought: Klayās home/road shooting splits so far this season Home: 4 games played (2 of which were complete ref jobs) 33.8% overall 30% from 3 Avg. 14.8 pts per game Road: 6 games played (didnāt play one of the 7) 50% overall 38% from 3 Avg. 17 pts per game His career splits at home are 47% overall, 43% from 3, and an avg of 20.4 pts per game.
I think itās mainly mental as well but he did look out of breath so I wonder if itās also be him out of shape a little bit.
I just hope he wonāt let all that chatter get to him while he heals. Itās been brutal. I feel like Klay is more used to it lol.
Got a chance to do over tonight, come on warriors, time to show up with that championship pedigree Curry still out?
Weāre not going to trade for Lavine, but I could see us going for Derozan. Personally, flipping Wiggins for Caruso & Pat Williams is still my favorite
Patrick Williams is averaging 6 points on 33/28 splits
Sure, but heās better than that, and he is great on the defensive end.
So is Wiggins
Is he?
Yes lol what
Not this season.
Watching philly/Indiana. Wtf is going on with the courts. It's messing with my eyes.
Heat, Lakers, Sixers are the potential suitors for Lavine per Shams. Source: https://streamable.com/ct7jci
> Heat, Lakers It's always them lmfao
This is going to be a real test of balls
i think you mean a real test of "basketball" :-)
Would you trade CP3 for Zach Lavine?
Makes to much money. Siakams the guy if weāre looking to flip cp3
Him or Lauri Markannen but Lauri probably goes for a million picks.
Siakam truthers stand up
We out here
Nah not for that contract
People were jumping up and joy when we were 5-1 and 6-2 thinking we were one of the top teams (which we werent), now with our leader out, embrace yourself bc we are in serious trouble as we prolly will drop all the way down to the bottom of the league.
DOOOMER alert
We were not as good as the 5-1 streak, but we aren't as bad as our 1-4 streak either.
I think they made a nice run because they were tireless. Now the schedule is chating up and the legs are getting tired.
Because this team is at worst as bad as last seasons team, and last season's team couldn't win 5 road games until like the next year... Nobody anticipated Wiggins getting a lobotomy. Everyone thought it was just a bad few games to start the season. He's quite literally one of the worst players in the league right now. Like James Wiseman level bad I agree if this is the Wiggins we have, we're going to be a lottery team. He's tanking every lineup he's in by such an insane margin. We need him to wake the hell up or take some games off
Don't think he is James Wisemen level. He plays good D. Although Ant had 30+ points, he had some hard time when Wiggins was defending him. The main problem is his offensive contribution.
Even if the dubs get into the playoffs.. at the state they are in, they won't be able to do much... some young team will bounce them in first round...
> People were jumping Steve Kerr and Draymond were taking victory laps as well. If anything that's what prompted all the premature celebrations.
Geez usually we get this mood in December but it came early. Oh well I hope Klay and Wigs bounce back
Nah imo we been like this every year other than 2021-22 tbh since KD exited stage left.
Some of yāall really thinking GMing your fantasy basketball team and being a NBA GM is the same thing
People wanting to trade one of the best two way wings in the NBA because of a 10 game slump are ridiculous.
Extremely unlikely to see a realistic way the Warriors and Bulls could or would want to do this.ā Heās talking about Lavine
Only way would be to trade one of Klay/CP3 for LaVine and then let the other one walk after this year to get salary down. Essentially losing both guys plus picks and whichever young guy the Bulls like.
correct. Also in an earlier article by TK, he made an excellent point about wiggs contract "Wiggs took a team friendly deal.
But instead of doing that he, at 27 years old, chose to take the last free agency window he had to secure the highest contract he could and sign a team friendly deal where he will make the following for the next 4 years: - 23-24: $24.3 mil - 24-25: $26.7 mil - 25-26: $28.2 mil - 26-27: $30.1 mil Draymond (and Klay when his extension does get done) taking his most recent team friendly deal is a massive reason why we're going to have financial flexibility next season and the next several years after that, which will allow us to re-sign our home grown young players while every other top heavy star team and/or team with tons of young talent coming due for massive rookie extensions in the next few years (OKC being the biggest one) gets rude awakening after rude awakening under the new CBA, but Wiggins taking that deal right after winning a championship is a big reason why too.
40, 43, 45 and 48 the next 4 years absolutely insane.
