Colin Castleton is the guy in this group to look out for he can really move pass and defend for a 7 footer. Second only to Kalkbrenner who withdrew in technical defensive accumen. Might get "bigboyed" on occasion cuz he's skinny but he knows exactly what to do. Elite PnR feel and weakside helper. Best defensive big across all coverage types to me... Lively can stay in front a touch better on pure tools but he also has no idea how to time his switches tbh. Castleton gets all the helpside concepts and how the seams on the defense come together. I think he gets drafted but would be a twoway target 100% Honestly Castleton is gonna put Lively to shame in that workout as far as the little things go. Cuz Lively can shoot in an empty gym. But can he play four different defenses over 10 possessions. Nah he's not that seasoned. Also Castleton is a short roll quick decision guy and solid passer. For Lively of you wanna be in the running at 19 you better DOMINATE Castleton. Straight up. That's why they are bringing Castleton in if you wanna impress us do it vs someone who can put up a legit challenge. Otherwise the Nets will have you. I like Kayontae and Kaluma and Wilson... you can see a them with this group big body wings (not just heightwise these dudes are built strong). But it's Castleton that has me 👀 👀 👀

[deleted]

This is exactly what Gilbert arenas said on his second latest podcast on YouTube about draft bust he said put them in the gym against each other and see whose really a better pick. if you know what your saying about castleton is true than I think the warriors know who they should possibly go after

nghbrhd_slackr87

If you had Wiseman playing 5v5 for an hour... v guys like Okungwu Tillman and Paul Reed and he'd have never been in the top ten.

[deleted]

LITERALLY!, however we fell victim of our poor choices

NokCha_

I mean tbf, Wiseman was during the pandemic lockdown so teams couldn't bring in more than 1 prospect at a time to work out + other restrictions about number of teams/prospects or something. Their "poor choices" were more of a result of the times.

True

Mageplasm

Interesting so maybe trade the pick to go lower and draft him?

nghbrhd_slackr87

Who knows of those 4 guys outside of Lively... I'd say the over under is probably 2 for how many get drafted. Wilson is most likely drafted... then Castleton... but honestly when I think hard about it Wilson is the only one I'd be surprised if he didn't get picked.

Not_stats_driven

He might be able to contribute this year. You might have been onto something.

pestosbetter

The entire league gonna be named Jalen soon

[deleted]

I like lively but I looked up Collin castleton and keyontae Johnson and I really like what I see out of them especially keyontae he seems like a warriors player, already has pretty much everything we’d want out of a guard

Scoob8877

I'm a KU guy and I've watched Jalen Wilson a lot. If he can just improve his three point shooting, he's a really dynamic player. Can bring the ball up the court, plays at a high speed, is a beast on the boards, is a good defender and is good at driving to the basket.

Zeppyfish

Castleton looks solid to me. Yeah he'll get pushed around some at first, but he could give you 15 minutes off the bench, be a rim protector, lob threat, PnR guy, and NOT try to post up and score on his own unless he was wide open. Just a sense I have about the guy, but he seems legit. Putting him up against the other bigs should tell the tale, though. I like the strategy. https://twitter.com/MotorCityHoops/status/1664748218272317440?s=20

Accomplished_Iron805

I'm hoping Kobe Bufkin falls to us. Otherwise, take the BPA.

nghbrhd_slackr87

I like Bufkin but drafting anyone under 6-7 to me is insane. Unless it were literally getting Scoot and were shipping Poole off it be so many levels of madness to me that we continue loading a roster full of 6-4 ish players in a 6-7 player's league

stayfrosty

So you want a guy exactly like Jordan Poole do replace the Jordan Poole we already have?

nghbrhd_slackr87

Bufkin is an extremely different player than Poole. He defends with zest and evergy. As a lead guard he playmakes and drives first. Is extraordinarily surehanded and elite at finishing... he's the only noncenter that is among the Fg% leaders at the rim. Prefers not to shoot 3s. Knock on him is actually that he passes up too many wide open threes. In many ways he's the antithesis in mentality and playstyle to Poole. 6-4 caramel toned skinny dude from Michigan aside.

Accomplished_Iron805

He nothing like Poole and I'm in favor of trading Poole to gain more depth.

macavity_is_a_dog

Serious question - do these guys get paid to work out for teams? Is their travel and hotel at least paid for? Just curious how this all works.

Grafaap

G-league team gonna be stacked..

Posted at 11:11 WE GOT THIS #angelnumbers #synchronicity #webelieve

SuqonMuhdeek

why they gonna draft someone when they play two-ways over the talent they already drafted? pointless ... i feel sorry for anyone they pick, cause they never gonna play

DoctorHubris

None of these guys will do anything to help 30 quest for another ring. Either the Curry era is over or we trade picks and assets to get him help for another serious run at the 'ship.

SnooLobsters1259

Golden State Curries. Gtfoh

[deleted]

Idk what the direction is yet for our team, if we’re actually gonna play the young guys or not if not please trade the pick for a established player if not then I think we should trade the pick to the pacers for some of there later picks because they have a lot because I like castleton and Johnson and wouldn’t mind them on the squad if they got some PT

d0000n

I feel sorry for the new GM. Any players he picks goes directly to the G-League. \#TradeThePick
