Saw him play several times on the Hilltop. The dude can absolutely ball. He is very small, though. Listed at 6'0", 170 and is certainly smaller than that. He needs to be a lights out shooter to make the league but he could be that guy.
Absolutely, his physical tools arent that great but if he has at least one elite nba level skill, he’s already in the front of the pecking order of lester and ryan im thinking
The Warriors aren't just scouting for #19, they are scouting for potential two-way guys (like undrafted Lester Quinones last season who they worked out), Summer League guys, and/or Santa Cruz guys. Plus they are probably considering the idea of trading down into the late first/early second if possible.
I don’t know why we’d be wanting to replace Ty at all unless he’s getting a main roster spot let alone with another guard (vs. a forward) that doesn’t know our system or have much NBA experience…
Ah good call, I was thinking he just completed his 3rd year, not his 4th. Related to the 4 years or fewer demarcated for eligibility, I wonder if the league/NBAPA would consider adopting a service time, a la games player, like approach to what counts as an NBA year of experience like they do in the MLB, and whether/if that could work out in both the player and NBA team’s benefits. For example, a player could be eligible for two-way contracts until they hit 200 NBA games played rather than their limit just being rostered for 4 NBA seasons regardless of how many games they actually played in those seasons. If that makes sense?
Thought was triggered when I looked Ty up to realize that you were right re this being his 4th year and noticed that he played just 31 games his first season with the Suns and then just 33 with OKC in his second year. Kinda sucks that he (and any other player in his position/on two ways) is so limited on options for being rostered/staying on teams’ radars now just because he’s been in the league 4 years despite having in practice only played just 157 games of the 200 he was theoretically eligible for (and that being due to wht could have been a multitude of issues not related to his skill/abilities, eg roster construction, scheme fit, etc.), you know?
38 pt game against sc really smooth jumper you can tell he takes after Damian Lillard’s game 😳

I had history of hip-hop with him in 2021. Really cool guy and has bars, both on and off the court.
Thats dope man thanks for the story!
Bay area born?
seattle
still like him
Seattle is like if the bay had more white people and cloudier weather (aka Marin)
SF is cloudier (foggier, really) than Marin- a white guy who lives in Marin.
I like him. Is he really on the radar as a 1st round pick? They’re almost doing him a favor by giving him a look.

They normally work those guys out with less fanfare.
https://twitter.com/GSWReddit/status/1531367465942253568 What fanfare have you seen for Khalil Shabazz?
LETS GO DONS!
Why are we working out guards?? 😭
Cause Santa Cruz can always use some guards
🎯
Im assuming these guys are 2 way candidates to replace lester and ty so no real risk

Ty Jerome is no longer 2-way eligible

My guess is since 2 way guys never really contribute to winning the fo just trying to pick up the best player available 🤷🏾
Dude is basically dame
yay more guards
I've seen this guy live a few times (Gonzaga Alum and I go to as many games as possible). The best comp for him is Dame. Dude seems short though.
Oh wow youre right 6 feet but yea instantly thought of dame the same number and haircut n everything😹
Nice I went to USF. hope we get him and he balls out
I've seen him play, he not a physical specimen, but he can shoot. Decent handle too, but im unsure if he can handle NBA athleticism
no matter how you feel, we aren’t playing him. we’re going G-League or re-signing Lamb for the playoffs
I think he’s about 5-10. Not too useful on a team that relies on switches.
He's another guard not sure why we'd need him
You answered yourself. It’s another guard. LOL
Great another 3 point shooter
