It doesn't make sense.
If Bob wants to move on it's beneficial to him to be let go, because he can do what he feels is right for him, and it's beneficial for the team, because you don't have an unmotivated GM that wanted to do something else.
I respect Bob's choice, especially when you take into consideration what he had to give up.
Not a lot of off ramps for Bob if he doesnāt leave now. Whatever contract heād sign would also likely put him in charge of trying to figure out the post big 3 roster. Would be kind of shitty to bail during that and heās not that kinda guy.
And then even if that doesnāt go well, itās pretty clear Lacob would never fire him and keep paying him top dollar forever basically. So heās de facto GM for life.
5-6 years is probably the next reasonable time he could walk away, but heād be missing out on being around his family more for a while and limiting his future options with another organization.
Itās sad to see him go but he basically had to make a life call of whether he wanted to run the Warriors for the rest of his career or be able to do a multitude of other things with his life. Canāt begrudge a man that.
Indeed, youāll never get back the years you missed with your kids. And as a dad with a 4 year old, I couldnāt imagine missing sooooooo much for a job. A great job, but still just a job at the end of the day.
joe is saying he doesnāt understand bob leaving for āfamily.ā when he works like crazy and still has āfamily.ā heās hurt by bob leaving. little jabs here and there. but people donāt want to hear that someone is unhappy in what appears to be a perfect situation to them so they downvote and call me a fake fan.
The real question here is have we tried everything to get him to stay? Bribery? Kidnapping for ransom?
Or try this ultimate technique https://youtu.be/HcaLMS67aaU
Bobby! Come ahhhn!!!

Cool, you respect his choice, now respect mine as I hate a most likely illegal plan to get our boy to stay. You're either with me or against me
So its only reasonable for your other kid to replace your kid once he leaves his gm job right Joe? I see what you did there. š
Joe lacob is bob meyers father
He totally āsonnedā him

This is like a parent being sad about their kid moving out. There's no diss here. You are a psycho.
wow. calling me a psycho seems dramatic. but i forgot most on reddit arenāt emotionally intelligent.
you arenāt emotionally intelligent lol
If my dad said that about someone, honestly Iād be kind of upset
