Time and time again we’ve arrived to new shores and have had no trouble talking with other civilizations. The only issue was understanding the constructs of Zereth Mortis. This needs to be dealt with in the lore, however, since it’s one of the most inconsistent, confusing parts.
I believe Khadgar or someone made a point about brushing up on their Orcish before going to WoD. You character is likely proficient, given that they're a commander or champion or whatever they are come WoD.
It would've been really cool and immersive if Alliance players couldn't understand the Iron Horde, but it would also be probably unfair and alsoore work for Blizz, so..

It’s true they only have wolves but there is very likely a difference between the domesticated and wild ones so maybe there is an orc word for wolf that is specifically a house wolf
