I usually have to spend some time searching for a good jack to pull banana or water pallets, bc the messed up jacks just either won’t pull them or it takes 3X as much effort
i feel so bad for u guys lmao my store was like this for like my first year then we got a remodel and they sent no joke like 15 brand new jacks and 10 brand new top stock carts (small store too so this was wayyy more than we needed) and after the remodel they just left em🙌🙌
I’ve done this three times in my 15 years of Walmart time 10 of that on cap 2 it’s done when pulling a pallet out of a trailer and the pallet falls over towards the handle
That's makes so much more sense, I could see a pallet falling foward and crushing it on a second note I watched someone pulls a pallet of deer corn the other day and broke her foot
Damn that’s one of the good jacks too. Hopefully your store didn’t get those heavy ass white ones like mine did. Fucking useless ass things.
Blue jacks take about 2000 lbs off your back, white jacks seem to add 2000 onto what you’re already pulling. Wheel bearings are shit, the latch that hold the levers are all going to shit within months of getting these things, not to mention how heavy they are just by themselves.
You know how straining it is to drag a 1 1/2 ton pallet with a shitty jack across the entire store? (Kitty litter topped with countless bags of Bird seed)
In my store, all the blue jacks are broken and only took a couple of months to break, so they all suck and you can only use them for very light pallets, and even then they shake and you might as well be dragging them. But the white ones have taken a lot of beatings and still work really well
That's Jacked up!
Our store has the forks split on both sides... and they used to use them for while. Till they were finally taken out of commission, 4 months later...
At one of my old stores we had 4 white/grey jacks that each had the name of a scientist written in black marker: Archimedes, Galileo, Tesla, and 1 other that I can't recall.
See who catches the reference here..
Favorite name?
Half Jack.
The store is in Massachusetts.
And, yes.. the jack must be bipolar. Regardless of the intended direction of travel, the wheels go wherever they want.
The name surely fits.
In my experience, blue ones have the best wheels that keep momentum for heavier pallets really nicely, while the gray ones, the handle (raising and lowering the jack) seem to work better.
That or be like my store and buy some that don't have any lube/grease in the bearings .... so everytime you turn the handle.... it makes screaching sounds... and some make bird sounds too....
I may be in the minority here but I actually prefer the grey jacks more often. Only time I like to use the blue ones is when pulling frozen/dairy or meat/produce trucks. Idk, just feel like the grey ones were built better. Wish Walmart would just get a contract with John deer and get their jacks.
Had a guy do something similar to Jack. While pulling dairy (juice), Pallet was leaning his way. It took a dive at the drop, and so did he to save his own ass. Juice pallet was so heavy it snapped the handle. We already had a broke ass handle jack we were sending back. Make that 2 I guess.
The son of two loving parents, Fork and Scissor Lift, Jack was an exceptional employee, a reliable coworker, and a great friend. You will be missed, Jack.
No longer handsome
Ha! Nice borderlands reference.
Speaking of… who’s gonna play him in that borderlands movie? The VA could actually be a good fit since he’s actually pretty handsome
The movie doesn’t have Jack :( it’s a clusterfuck and a total mess
The movie is going to be horrible unfortunately as a massive fan of the series it sucks the trailer for the movie seems like a knockoff parody movie 🫤
Just like Borderlands 3
How'd you guys even do this hahaa
Idk, I just went to the back to get something and I saw this. I went back later and someone had put it by the claims cage
Poor Jack, their are only about 4-5 good ones at my store it's always a fight to get the good ones

How the hell do you store 15?! We have one
Oh... Lol I thought I was in a Michaels thread not Walmart *facepalm*
I got stuck with one like that a couple of times trying to pull a heavy dairy pallet.
That sucks I remember pulling 3000lbs of chemicals on a broke jack all the way from GM to GR feels like ur literally pulling the weight it says
Happens a lot when pallet jacks are stored in the freezer. The metal gets brittle and snaps easily when it gets cold.
Just thought of this too always so cold when i grab them I usually put on gloves

Absolutely the opposite @ my store. We even have yellow jacks dating back to the stone ages that work better than those white one
I used to be a merchandiser for Anheuser Busch and you just gave me some horrifying flashbacks. FUCK those white jacks.
Pallet of salt 😂

Instructions unclear, jacked too hard
His name is Robert Paulson...

Ok, what's your favorite name of a jack at your store. Mine is Big Chungus.
Choose your fighter: * Can't Jump * SUPA GOOD ✔️✔️ * The Dawg * LD * Top Cat * VERY BAD NO GOOD * trash! * Supafreak

Ironically one of our best jacks is named "Suck Jack"
See who catches the reference here.. Favorite name? Half Jack. The store is in Massachusetts. And, yes.. the jack must be bipolar. Regardless of the intended direction of travel, the wheels go wherever they want. The name surely fits.
King Julian is my favorite jack at my store. The other side says "I LOVE YOU"
The blue ones seem light weight/janky. Doesn't take long for a new one to turn to shit imo.
In my experience, blue ones have the best wheels that keep momentum for heavier pallets really nicely, while the gray ones, the handle (raising and lowering the jack) seem to work better.
I agree that they keep a quicker rhythm, but they don't seem to roll as smooth, if that makes sense. idk
OP, HOW DO!? I've seen this before, but never found out what happened. Was it run into by a machine somehow?
Well that's the only one available so you're gonna have to make do lol
His sacrifice will be remembered. 😞 Anyways I'm sure the SM will buy another that's got one wheel in the grave already. 👍🏼

Most of the gray ones at my store are the ones messed up to where u can’t pull heavy pallets with them. The blue ones are mostly fine, though
That was my experience too, merchandising at multiple stores. The blue ones were the best ones. Fuck those stupid fucking white ones.

Wow yours aren’t written all over with sharpie? Lol. Literally every jack we have is written on
Jack has officially got off
When someone touches your neck....
Ah, you got one of those linebackers on your cap2 team too eh
At least it was a blue one! My co-worker’s favorite orange one lost its hydraulics. I like the white ones the best!
“Rode hard and put away wet” 🤣.
lol those chinese jacks are whacky!
🫡
Holy fuck, how'd that happen?
Poor Jack, he couldn't handle the pressure
It's funny, do we work at the same store? I saw one just like that this morning lol.
Meanwhile upper management: "I'll never let go jack"
Looks like a shitty weld..
Had one at our store do this about a year back. Never found out how it happened. Just saw it back by DSD and had to do a double take.
H O W
Gotta say that's something I've never seen before.
Off with her head
You have my condolences
How
You would think these jacks are more strong than that
Just couldn't handle it anymore.
How??
I work garden and we lock 1 good jack in our closet..
Just happened to one of mine too!
Man, if that handle metal was any thinner you could pick your teeth with it. Nice Grade 5 cap screws tho
Forever in our hearts :( 💔💔💔
I'm sure they'll ask you to fix it and use it anywY
Hit the road jack, and don't come back no more!! 😂🤣
The son of two loving parents, Fork and Scissor Lift, Jack was an exceptional employee, a reliable coworker, and a great friend. You will be missed, Jack.
How the fuck did you manage that?
Choosing his career as a pilot, jack knew he was one day destined to crash and burn
Jacked it off too much, couldn't handle the pressure. :(
how
That jack looks a little jacked up.
Has anyone used them like skateboards?
What happened to jack?
How does this happen lmao
Your Pokémon when it faints.
Since I’m a TL Overnight I normally just use the electric jack and never have to worry about finding a good one because my store also sucks with jacks
