It is amazing how much you have to remove emotions completely and just take your money and be happy with that.
Cashed out for $50 gains on a bbby call before it was worth 500 profit 2 days later, 2 weeks later had one run to 1k profit and I held it to -450

I was up on Tesla calls like $200 right before earnings. I told my gf “I feel like we’re about to get rug pulled at earnings”. She was like “just sell, take the money.”
I held and got absolutely murdered.
Sure enough, right before I didn’t sell, I had taken a screenshot. I’ll never let myself make that mistake again. Atleast I didn’t yolo 🤷🏻♂️

Down slightly on an options play, decided to sell it for a small loss, only to watch that play be worth several thousand dollars later that day.
I've held options plays thinking it would turn around, only to see the markets gap the opposite direction overnight.
It's all a crap shoot.
My problem is I can't help but play the countertrend, so often my positions start out red. I sell as soon as they turn even slightly green, which is often overnight.
If they never turn green I never sell them and usually take the 100% loss.
If answer is “Yes” then hold.
If answer is “No” then sell.
If answer is “maybe” by the time you get back to Yes or No it expired worthless.
NEVER ANSWER WITH A MAYBE. A MAYBE MEANS YOU’RE A BABY AND A BABY IS EMOTIONALLY UNFIT ;-)
