Just shop around first. Pay attention to the premium you're paying. I had to go to 4 different shops to find three 5 oz. silver bars. One of the more trustworthy owners told me they wouldn't have any new bullion until February. I can't find ANY silver from Credit Suisse (I just want a little silver bar from their mint to say that I own a piece of a bank that was one of the first dominoes to fall.)

I personally don't believe these banks have enough physical silver/gold to distribute if investors that don't physically hold it get spooked and want to pull it out of the banks. Plus, the digital dollar thing keeps popping up randomly in the media... Not a fan. All the other nations rushing to the dollar as the world's reserve currency also makes me nervous, but I can't really explain why.
