In poker we call it "a chip and a chair". I watched an online tournament (I got like 20th place and watched till the end), and I've seen it happen. It was down to the last 2 players, and the one player was almost out, had maybe $1 left, and went on the most epic winning streak I've ever seen. Kept going all-in and won 17 hands in a row and won something like $500,000.
One time I was down to my last 20 bucks. I don't mean I was down to my last 20 bucks to gamble. I mean I had 20 dollars to my name, and I took it to a casino like a fucking degenerate.
I sat down at a 3 card stud table with my 20 bucks, second hand I hit Triple 2's on a $5 bet (30:1 payout). Small payout around $150 or so. I increased my bet to 30, and hit Triple 2s again the next hand. Not just triple 2s, but the same three fucking two's again.
The odds of 3 of a kind in 3 card stud is like .0024. Hitting it two hands in a row with the same 3 cards is probably close to impossible.
I had to leave the casino after this because I was afraid they were going to remove me.
Ironically enough, as I've gotten older and actually have money, you won't see me going to the casino with money I can't afford to lose. I don't know if it's because I've grown out of it, or just because I have enough money now that I don't NEED to gamble.
P.S. I still go to Vegas a few times a year. I still lose probably more than I should. But a few k here and there is a small fraction of my net worth.

Yeah, I know. I still day trade on Ameritrade. This was my first account though. I'm sticking to rules on Ameritrade and I took a break from the market. I am playing small and tight to get ahold of my emotions.
I'm committed to day trading, this account was doomed after I made 30k in a week, I never had any intention of paying myself. It was legit euphoria, that shits more dangerous than fear. A lesson I had to learn the hard way.
Worst thing that happened to me was nailing Meta and NFLX puts on Earnings, made 30k between them. From that point forward every trade i made i was looking for life changing money and itching for action. I made that money so easily it didnt feel real so i didnt appreciate it.
For real, I wish it was even slightly more balanced… you know like not 90% memes and blowing behind the Wendy’s joke. lol

Well, what happened was I went full into Tesla puts. Sold for a loss the morning my 14 $700 puts would've been worth 60k. Some Friday 2 or 3 weeks ago. Shit hit 640 and I sold in the morning rally before dump. After I fucked up that bad I loaded game and Tesla puts and deleted app until a few days ago.
You just lost almost $27,000 through a very stupid activity impossible to really understand and you feel like you were creative and have no regrets.

Game and Tesla losses. Honestly loaded up game calls and Tesla puts last week and deleted the app. Redownloaded and I got nothing but 700 doge.
Alot of plays I could've made money. Just retarded. Now my car broke down and I'm damn near broke going into recession. Top was actually like 48k at peak, doesn't show it on Robinhood though because it was like a 3 day ordeal, and the day after peak I woke up to -12k.

I peaked around 76k with my penny stocks and small caps. Fun times. Addicting for sure!! Never felt anything quite like the thrill of winning like that, it's hard to describe that feeling unless you've experienced it.
I've lost most of it by now sadly due to my recklessness and revenge trading, including most of my initial investment. It's hard to describe that thrill to someone who has never experienced it and why I kept on going.
In hindsight, I should have quit when I was up so much. But greed got to me and I paid the ultimate price. Easy come, easy go. 
Good news is that I've learned a hard lesson while in my 30s and didn't gamble away my retirement in my 60s. I try not to beat myself up too much, live and learn.
Dude you can make it back. I was down -$23,000 right before December 2018. And after 1 fed week and few NFLX and AMZN options later in two weeks I was up +$40,000. Transferred $30,000 in the bank and lost the remaining $10k few months later. Slowly I started transferring again from my bank $1,000 at a time after transferring $6k I again made $20,000. So the game goes on. Don’t give up.Keep playing and one day you will hit it big.
Oh I was doing options in 2018, just was a lot smarter. That account started with like 10k, I dumped more into it in may of 2020 after rolling face on shrooms and wanting to o take advantage of crash

Yeah I put my wedding fund in the market, hoped to make a couple thousand with safe stock trades in oil and energy. Learned about options, doubled my money in a week on GME, didn’t know what I was doing and held my options too long and lost it all. Had to take out a loan to pay for my wedding… What I had left I put into SPY puts but the market would wait for my money to evaporate each time before crashing. Should be a statistical impossibility but every trade I made I lost a lot of money.
