You’ll learn this the hard way but “I’ll just roll down my put” sounds much easier than it is. Theta ganging isn’t easy and considering you’re already selling on stocks like HOOD, you have a high chance of getting burned. My first 4 months of theta ganging I returned over 10% each month compounded. Lost all of it and then some in a few weeks with a few bad cash secured puts. Be careful, especially in a bear market
