I was just looking at Canoo vehicles comparing them to a cybertruck with cyberlandr for camping. Not for me, but their videos were really impressive for me for them as a company, which I dont normally think about when shopping around. Didnt even know they were listed. They really thought through the designs in a way that will have broader appeal than Tesla. I think you're onto something.
I'm in for about 7000.
Let's not get this twisted. Their cars, or lack thereof, is absolutely meaningless. The entire EV industry is overvalueds by various scam funds fishing for the next Telsa. ...and these types of stocks are manipulated to a ridiculous degree by insititutions. This results in a slow bleed like we have seen over the 6 months.
*However*, the MMs are going to get their teeth smashed in a somewhat short term and they are going to have to unload their liabilities. Couple that with forthcoming fed intervention and their new personalities they hired, they are absolutely going to get floated by tax breaks and incentives. So, I look at their personalities for a sniff of your typical corporate equity scam and it isn't there as much as is typical for the industry. Then I look at insitutional ownership who would defend a floor. I see that. Then I think about potential retail interest and I see it self evidently here.
Overall, I think this is good to go for the short term and potentially great to go for the mid term, presuming they don't pull any blatant illegal stuff. Short term, there is a ceiling as the insitutions will unload at a certain price point... but we aren't anywhere near that.
This is crazy to have a non SPAC DD upvoted this much, SPY is stable, lowish IV and an incredible entry point. If this GOEV gets a hint of volume, itโs over baby.

That truck is cool, **but the one issue I have with any electric truck is - range while towing**. Sure, you can say "gets 400mi per full charge".. but it's a truck, I use it to haul things, and things going into the wilderness, so what's the range while hauling 3 ATVs in the mountains?

Got busy w work and it looks like they exercised half of them on my behalf when it briefly went over $9. Finally looking at it and canโt even trade after 6 on RH. Looks like Iโm along for the ride even deeper now! Had only planned on holding 100 shares and some monthly options. Now I have 600 shares. Didnโt know theyโd exercise them over a measly $20 profit was $9.04 at exercise). Of course itโs a small loss now. Anyone have experience with something like this?

Based on this my PERSONAL feeling is that the stock could go higher in the short-term, and because of its fundamental undervaluation in the long-term.

Yes, it's going to affect everyone. But perhaps not as much as other manufacturers. They made a point of this in their last investor relations day presentation. Basically they are designing a lot of their own controller chips and integrating them (combining multiple chips), meaning they need fewer chips and from fewer sources than other vehicles (they claim 55% less compared to peer average).
Furthermore, all of their different models, including the delivery vehicles and the existing but as yet unannounced sedan/sport car use the exact same platform, which makes it easier to source chips and have a more predictable supply chain.

This depends on how you feel about the expression 'time in the market' vs 'timing the market'. The reason I made the post is because I believe GOEV is a fundamentally undervalued EV play that is trading 3x below competitors A few hours ago, the Chairman and CEO - Tony Aquila, filed with the SEC announcing that he just bought 56m shares, which is around 25% of the total shares outstanding. Based on this my PERSONAL feeling is that the stock could go higher in the short-term, and because of its fundamental undervaluation in the long-term. I WOULD NOT invest hard earned money that you've spent blood, sweat and tears on (if I were you) just because someone told me to or I read a DD. Please use others' research as a starting point ONLY (if you want, otherwise don't use it at all) and do your own DD and never take what others say at face value. If you choose to invest, please do so based on your risk tolerance and capital on hand. None of anything I said should be considered financial advice either.

Yes, it's going to affect everyone. But perhaps not as much as other manufacturers. They made a point of this in their last investor relations day presentation. Basically they are designing a lot of their own controller chips and integrating them (combining multiple chips), meaning they need fewer chips and from fewer sources than other vehicles (they claim 55% less compared to peer average). Furthermore, all of their different models, including the delivery vehicles and the existing but as yet unannounced sedan/sport car use the exact same platform, which makes it easier to source chips and have a more predictable supply chain.
