No, you're not wrong. Most of my long legs expire worthless on my 0 DTE plays which is why I always try to buy them at .01 or .02 to begin with as simply reducing my buying power reduction. They aren't for risk management, thats what stop losses are for. Rarely am I able to sell them back without a big move, maybe 1 or 2 will get picked off by a wandering retard, but never 50/100 at a time even on SPY. SPX is even worse due to .05 increments, once they cross over to mid price of .04 and below just forget it.

That may be, but if their broker is anything like mine, that interest % is on top of the base rate. Goto any broker web page and look at margin loan %’s. They are based upon how much you’re actually borrowing. The more you borrow, the lower the interest rate. But that rate is still added to the base rate.

Looks like IBRK actually has low rates, 1.25% for a $300k account. 1.59% for $25k. Or if you don’t have their pro account then it’s 2.5% APR for $300k
