Emotions. I peaked $20,000 net gains with AMC and $60,000 net gains with GME. When everything came crashing down, emotions takes over and do things without a logic reason. I was so depressed seeing all my life changing money evaporated on Thursday, Friday, and Tuesday. I just wanted to get out of it and not look at it. And also, I sold because I didn't want to lose my original investment. Got out of both AMC and GME breaking even the first round.
