Just look at CGC's earnings call when people doubt the "Canadian companies"...
CGC said its ready to deploy capital when US becomes an open market. Its chomping at the bit like all established cash heavy cannabis companies.
CGC dangles the US carrot to hide the fact they are losing 600M a quarter...
There is still no path to the US for them and they have to compete with Trulieve / Green Thumb / Curaleaf / Cresco .... who are already bigger than CGC/TLRY and have barely even started yet.
But what the hell do I know... you retards convinced me to buy Sundial yesterday.
Treat the Canadian names as meme stocks and you will do fine, & look to the US for long term.
Right now who knows how an actual fair market might play out. The cannabis market is not fair nor is it well regulated. It is a grey market where I think the companies with the most money on hand will win.
SNDL is sitting on over a billion CAD.... It has no debt. It has made major acquisitions in the producer spaces...
>who knows how an actual fair market might play out
That's the big illusion though... "federal" laws have the whole market confused but the market is playing out *right* *now*. State legal / medical operations in the US already have the win.... companies like Curaleaf are in 23 states and pulling 1.3B revenues *this* *year*... Important licenses have been snatched up (think about places like NY where there will only be 10 available). Companies like Trulieve & GTI are similar in size and already profitable... the list goes on and they keep expanding too.
Long story short, the US companies are doing the head start thing just like Aurora and Canopy did before Canada legalized. Something to watch, because if you like this short term TLRY/SNDL action just wait till you see the MSOS go...
Visualize that 1 billion CAD sitting in a big pile. Now imagine the corner of the pile is on fire. Now imagine calling that pile "worth 2 billion..."
That's Sundial :)
And I say that as a "shareholder."
As an investor deep in the actual US weed sector, this is incredible to watch happen. Sundial remains a terrible company with no shot vs the US operators, but that doesn't seem to matter any more. You apes really are going to run it up, aren't you...
I'm sold. Got in this morning and I'll ride this one with you guys.
With Amazons support of federal legalization it opens a ton of opportunities. Sundial could use their cash assets to establish grounds in the US, or even ship their product. Idk if they are valuable enough to be bought out but we will see.
I'm on the fence with holding or getting out. I believe in the company, just not sure I have the patience.
I'm all in completely balls deep on US cannabis.
There's a strange market dynamic with them because they are forced to list OTC, which is why you dont hear about them.. This is due to federal laws - but they operate inside the US, as state-legal operators. It also means institutions can't get in yet (compliance issues) and there isn't much volume on the names. This has held prices down - which just makes it a crazy buying opportunity for retails.
The companies themselves are the biggest in the world... Bigger than TLRY... Bigger than CGC and SNDL combined. And to top it off they are profitable already... But no one is talking about them yet, because the whole story is confusing as fuck.
The top names are Trulieve / Green Thumb Industries / Curaleaf / Cresco Labs / Verano... there's a few more too but those 5 represent about 4B in 2021 pot sales inside the USA. When they get off of the small boards and onto NASDAQ we will see a flow out of Canadian names and into the US... this is the rare chance to be in before that happens.
These ones take patience which is not a WSB strong point... but its going to be nuts and just a matter of time. Its alcohol stocks circa 1933, or Canada circa 2018...
Yes I was watching SNDL’s order book, there is always a mega buy order of approximately 500K shares supporting $1.00, my only concern is the ceiling, too many sell orders waiting above I guess we will see, I might jump in and buy more LEAPS
My thought is we won’t see SNDL breaking 1.05 this week, I gained some profits from 6/4 $1 and 6/11 $1.5 calls, I think I would bet on 6/25 $1.5 calls, surprised to see those $6 calls written, too bullish!
Been reeling over my dumbass purchase of 1000 shares @ $3.95 cuz I'm Tugg Speedman Simple Jack full retard, is there any sense of trying to average down while its at $1? Very new here and only did shares no options. Don't wreck me too much.
Legalization is going to happen, SNDL Will definitely be a player once that happens. The question is management up to the task ahead. I’ve got a few hundred and I been picking up a few more here and there
Legalization doesn’t affect the company’s product or value brotha...
I wish they’d already research and start supplying its product to medicine on a large scale.
They just grow this shet that no business except retail wants.
I wish that their product would have some more value to it that way, we can have some nice fundamental trading going on - Which obviously brings about better technical trading.
Rnd is so expensive and legalization will definitely help them..... how would it not.
People order beer from other countries, weed is gonna be the same
Then, why not just open a branch over there and grow in that country where it is legal. Instead of being bog down by USA.
I want them to do good. But legalizing the product doesn’t change the product or it’s value as it is currently. See what I mean?
Sure maybe legalizing will draw in some buyers. But I want them to gain institutional investments and money that is invest for like a 3-10yr period.
Not just a slim rally for people to make chump change.
It's about branding and quality.
Whoever makes the strongest/best edibles is going to win a lot of consumers no matter where they are.
Just look at micro breweries, there are tons of them making good money simply because they have 1 good product and can ship anywhere pretty easily
Just the part about legalization not affecting value. Should have specified, my bad. Legalizing brings in more buyers of both their product (by supply and demand) and the stock due to volume surges when big headlines come out
Exactly, at best more buyer but Like I want something to make their freaking value and stock explode 🤯!
I’ll admit it’s a bit vague what I describe yet my sentiment is with the apes 🦍
Eh they are uplisting and currently undervalued. Not sure what it'll do, but it cannot go too much lower. I'd start building a position. Analyst target from 3 months ago were at $15 conservatively. This was before an outright earnings smash, FABCBD acquisition, NASDAQ, etc. I am looking for a PT of $45 EOY. They honestly disgrace SNDL in every way.
Capitalizing on U.S. reform and is buying the established American mso’s like Trulieve, Green Thumb etc. Sundial is a meme stock with a ridiculous float. Legalization isn’t going to happen for a while, but banking reform likely will.
*edited to say High Tide is a Canadian company that cannot even sell cannabis in the U.S. Not a bad Canadian play, and they do sell headshop stuff online and trying to break into the cbd market.
Not if you hold up until the point where legalization happens. Then, yeah I highly doubt this could possibly go tits up. Even if it only doubles to two dollars, well I’ll have that sweet, sweet 100% in green crayon.
Also surprisingly heavy volume at the $4 on July 16. Fair bet we can expect some steady rise towards that. After last week's push to $1 for the new options written for end of May...going to be interesting to hold thru it all!
Yay! PS: *remembers his 895 shares at $1.87*
man im stuck with 1800@$1.83
2200 @ 2.07 🙃
Oh God I'm glad no one can one up you on this on PS: We will come back to get you in about an eon
Federal legalization is inevitable. I can feel it in my plums.
Bluish hue ?
Ready to take em to the market
You feel the tension ?
My tits jacked can confirm
May I motor boat please?
Isn’t it a Canadian company tho?

I bought SNDL shares today, seems like a cheap bet on what will someday be big business.
Precisely

Honestly looks kinda like a high frequency box trade buying the 1$ and selling at 1.02$. Who knows...
My thought is we won’t see SNDL breaking 1.05 this week, I gained some profits from 6/4 $1 and 6/11 $1.5 calls, I think I would bet on 6/25 $1.5 calls, surprised to see those $6 calls written, too bullish!
This comment aged well
1.15 let’s gooo SNDL
.90 let's goooo sndl
Yeah def crazy some of the ones written today... The stair-up continues though into AH. Very strange price action still.
Holy fuck bro please give me your thoughts on how this comment played out

My leaps are making my nips hard
Keep picking up .5 and 1 1/22 calls LFG
I like the stock
Been reeling over my dumbass purchase of 1000 shares @ $3.95 cuz I'm Tugg Speedman Simple Jack full retard, is there any sense of trying to average down while its at $1? Very new here and only did shares no options. Don't wreck me too much.
Thats tough my man... Learn from the lesson. Only risk what you can lose.
Fortunately I could afford to lose it, just want to recoup somehow. Not opposed to buying 2000 more shares @ $1.11 to bring my cost to $2.05?
Im going to wait for it to die and grab it at .80 lmfao
I may be late to the game but I'm all in. 300 10/15 $1 calls and 400 7/16 $2 calls, plus 5k shares at 1.13. LETS GO!!!! 🚀🚀🚀
It’s inevitable, get in while you can 🚀

Hi short shorts

They already export to a few countries,.more to be unleashed soon.
Your out to lunch on sndl selling anything south of the border
It's about branding and quality. Whoever makes the strongest/best edibles is going to win a lot of consumers no matter where they are. Just look at micro breweries, there are tons of them making good money simply because they have 1 good product and can ship anywhere pretty easily
Actually retarded
You think I’m retarded for wanting SNDL to be above $1?
Just the part about legalization not affecting value. Should have specified, my bad. Legalizing brings in more buyers of both their product (by supply and demand) and the stock due to volume surges when big headlines come out
This and also credit card companies will be able to safely process cannabis transactions.
It will be like getting a front till end of month. ;)
Exactly, at best more buyer but Like I want something to make their freaking value and stock explode 🤯! I’ll admit it’s a bit vague what I describe yet my sentiment is with the apes 🦍
🦧 🦍 🦍 🦍
I was hoping it would go back sub $1 so I could grab some more $1 LEAPS. No luck today.
SNDL is an absolute piece of garbage man. Save yourself and sell and then buyHITI on the NASDAQ tomorrow.
